Prince on SNL on 4th Feb

It looks like the promotion is about to kick in for the forthcoming album!

Prince is scheduled to appear along with Steve Martin as the special guests on Saturday Night Live on 4 February 2006.

from the notice: " Prince makes his first appearance on the show since 1981."

So his appearance from 1989 does count somehow because it was an anniversary show?

I have been waiting so long for that day to come. I can't even begin to explain the meaning of it.

YaY!
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

Steve Martin & Prince on Saturday Night Live
Source: NBC January 19, 2006

NBC's Saturday Night Live pulls out the stops on its sole February broadcast with two legendary performers - Steve Martin and Prince (LIVE, February 4, 11:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.).

Steve Martin, who stars in the upcoming The Pink Panther, returns to Studio 8H for his record-solidifying 14th hosting appearance. The award-winning actor, comedian, author, playwright and producer's hosting stints have left an indelible impact on SNL's 30-year history. With recurring characters like as the "Wild and Crazy" Czech Festrunk brothers, each Steve Martin-hosted show is an event unto itself.

Martin is joined by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and musical superstar - Prince. Arguably one of the most acclaimed and influential musicians of the 20th century, Prince makes his first appearance on the show since 1981.

Now that's something 2 get xcited about! biggrin

This'll be really interesting. This time he won't have his old hits to play to wow everyone.

Prince has to either be Rick James or Charlie Murphy, of course!

Don't think you're gonna see him be Beyonce, but that'd be good.

Well the show didn't air on Saturday, it was mostly clips, and it was during Primetime so in a way it wasn't really Saturday Night Live.

Hopefully he doesn't do Te Amo crappo but this should be pretty cool. I wonder if he will reunite the NPG or use the houseband that has been playing his parties. So many questions smile
