I think SNL pretty much sucks but I'm gonna watch it that night. I already know the skit they're gonna do with Prince, a real (*yawn*) Prince show with the real Prince and Beyonce (Beyonce is in the movie Steve Martin is promoting). I bet it's gonna be unremarkable.
As far as performance wise Prince is gonna rock, he couldn't be much worse than the Strokes last night, that singer was absolutely a posterchild for lip synching. [Edited 1/22/06 9:05am] | |

No, that is the messed up thing. ANYONE can cover ANY song they like. Without ever asking anyone. They would have to pay a fee... but you do not need any knid of premission. now most major companies required their acts to get premission but that is not a legal (copyright) issue but just a courtasy (sometimes backed up with civil contracts and agreements) there was an interview with prince where he talks about this issue (Ebony i think). he says something like "i can't take a page from a steven king book and put my name on it. i can;t call it "prince's shinning." | |
