Once for Batman and once waay back during "Prince" or "Controversy" I think. it was 81 he did Party Up... that ep is famous too because one of the guys got fired for saying the F word during the closeing credits... it airs from time to time on Comedy Central.. Prince also said "Fightin' war is such a fuckin' bore" in that episode right? I think Morris used the F-word also when The Time was on the show. Such nastiness! [Edited 1/19/06 15:37pm]

Great news though! Marking my calendar. It's amazing, when the media get these little facts wrong about Prince's career. How do they expect us to believe the big things they write( like he's having surgery). That was a press release from NBC...not the media. Also, as mentioned ealier his second appearance technically would not be considered Saurday Night Live as it happened on a weekday during primetime and was a clip show.

Tickets are impossible to get for the main show (as they are all handed out in the summer) but you can wait in line to get into the rehearsal (which is an exact run through of the show) so what is the over under on how many days people camp out for that . I was reading that people sometimes hire homeless people to wait in line for them

Hmmm... and Beyonce does the hit song from the same movie Steve Martin will be promoting... maybe we'll see a surprise appearance...?

Hey if he can do skits on the Muppets maybe theres a chance he can participate on SNL, hopefully we get 2 new songs, I've noticed lately SNL musical guests have been playing their new single 1st, and their "hit" 4 the 2nd song, in the past they always played 2 new songs. I'm laughing my ass off over this thread. Ya'll coming up with these crazy scenarios....
SNL has two guests on the show -- one is the guest host who participates in the skits and such. The other is the musical guest who plays music. Why would you think that Prince would be all up in the skits for the night? Is Steve Martin going to pull out a guitar and perform? I think not. Folks are playing 6 degrees of separation and suddenly they got Beyonce on the show. WTF? And my favorite: "That was a press release from NBC...not the media." I think someone should contact the NBC executives pronto and let them know they aren't part of the media. They seem to have been under the false impression that they are..... I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here.

They'd better let Fred do a Prince skit with Prince. He's a true, dyed-in-the-wool fan whose skits were written with a lot of admiration and with more than a few winks to the hardcore fans. And it would be damn funny to see real Prince playing off a fake Prince! I can see the expressions on ol' boy's face already...

As much as I love Fred, it would be asking too much to see Prince Show with P and B - but I would love it! Most likely Fred and Maya facing Prince and Beyonce.

You know, Fred and Prince will do a bit together.
Prince did not "flake out" last time he did no appear on the show, the show wanted to pre-screen what songs he would do, and he would not allow that. I bet it will kick ass, though. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Folks are playing 6 degrees of separation and suddenly they got Beyonce on the show. WTF? what? it is more like 1/2 degree... it makes perfect sense that she will be there.... she is in the new Steve Martin movie and she is tight with prince as well... she will be there. And my favorite: "That was a press release from NBC...not the media." I think someone should contact the NBC executives pronto and let them know they aren't part of the media. Prince doing Prince -- now that would be funny! Playing off all the stereotypes and showing how ridiculous they really are -- laughing at himself along the way, giving all those goofy looks, etc. If Prince does nothing else but one skit outside of performing a couple songs, this has got to be it! OH MY GOD! This is one of the shows I was praying he'd do. I'm just too happy right now. He'd better show up and kick some major ass! I'm ready for da funk!!!!! I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
