I'm sure 'Legs has beat me to the punch, but the Time of today was not the Time that I went to see on the Controversy tour. Go back to school pilgrim! Prince broke up his biggest threat. If they weren't so good, then why did Prince disband them? Preach!

Her band is hugely, hugely underrated..(and they dont need to show off to entertain).....and she knows how to hold an entire stadium captive just with her presence.....no gimmicks...no dancers....no fifty people on stage....no special effects...just her presence...no grandstanding.... Sade (the entire band including Ms. Adu) is a class act....totally different then Prince..but equally talented on stage. and im gonna say something that might earn a lot of flack but Bette Midler puts on an awesome show too....totally different then Prince but I was equally entertained.. Prince is just one of a long list of entertainers that have fine tuned their talents on stage and give wonderful wonderful face..... I hate to do it, but I have to disgree on Sade. I love her and her band to death and have seen her live 6 times, but to me they have one flaw, which is they rarely improvise or deviate from the standard songs.... They play entirely too straight.... Check out both live dvd's of her's that's out. Except for adding the newer songs, they play the sets almost completely the same... Prince always changes things up, adds spice here and there, and sometimes changes the set list in different cities. I think that Parliment/funkedelics at their peak could give Prince a run for his money. I also think Jean Luc Ponty gives one helluva show, but maybe that's too different a genre to compare
