To the earlier comment about the Musicology tour only being successful because of marketing...last time playing the hits...Thats a load..this was his most accessible tour since Purple Rain..he played more venues, smaller venues...he simply made it easier for the masses to see him...most people I talked to at the shows even commented how they hoped he played his old stuff...they had no idea how the show was marketed...

Maybe Prince was too busy washing his hair. I mean, what's the big deal...Prince isn't all about awards. We all know that. As for his fans...I mean, he gives us alot. Not showing to one award show doesn't mean he hates us. It just mean that he can care less about whether or not he wins. He's said it over and over again...his music is about him and his fans. Not about awards.

So, I'm not depressed. I'm still happy the music community is recognizing him and appreciating him like many of us have for so many years.

And...I'm SOOOO happy someone shut that cocky Usher up. I'm tired of him winning awards he doesn't deserve. Prince makes his albums. Usher is simply good at collaborating with others.

That's my theory...and i'm sticking to it.

Legs does feel what your saying. Since Prince has went through his spritual rebirth, a great deal of his most music on recent CD's and tours has become watered down jazzified and less rock and less funkedified and not up to par like it used to be. Yes, I would agree with you that the RNHF performance was up to his old standards which was cool. However, I am glad to see that he kick that old dried up trick ass Madonna in tourand album sales though.
