What sets Wendy & Lisa apart from the other members of the Revolution is that Wendy & Lisa are talented in much the same way that Prince is. They are extremely gifted music producers, multi-instrumentalists, song-writers and vocalists. They were classically trained and performed jazz, R&B, rock prior to meeting Prince as young women.

I will completely argue that film and television would give them no second looks if they were as lame as you say. Purple Rain was 25 years ago. And being linked to Prince can be as ruinous as helpful anymore.

So, are you talking about actual Revolution crackheads, or straw men to poke your argument at? Last I checked, most of the W&L / Revolution crackheads around here neither say nor believe that Prince was talentless before W&L. There may be a couple of . . . fanatics. But I'd say most of us Revolution / W&L fans aren't drinking that Kool-Aid.
