Right,

So whose going and when and meeting where? Expecting it to be busier earlier today maybe - but what y'all doing... had me bacon barm and coke and am ready to funk'n'roll! Really though, setting off at about 12ish to be in Manc by 1!! Numbers on hands again. Good luck everyone whose queuing to get a ticket!

...hope he makes it right for those that paid £35 for an encore, and pray that there's no funny shenanigans tonight as last nights show was fantastic! Wearing Nike Airs, brown cord shirt, burgundy flairs and a Prince T-Shirt circa 1990/1991 - only met a couple of you's yesterday!

haven't a clue, need to meet another orger who's heading over from Leeds + taking a friend who is not bothered about being in the front [go figure!] Might get there for 12 & see what the vibe is ?

Great gig last night, as good as SBE, but personally I'd put SBE above it as first time i've been to a Prince gig since O2 and to hear him play Forevever in my Life, ICNTTPOYM, I would Die 4 U again was a mind blower at SBE, where as last night I was hearing them again, but still great !!! I turned up at 5pm after work and was 132 in queue, had a great view centre stage about 5 people from the front, as they were letting people in small groups, there was no mad rush to get to the front as you wasn't going in with 100's. The queuing was really well controlled.

I was tempted to go again tonight and queue but looks like the people who got in later 10:30pm'ish and paid £35 to see last encores are getting in for free (which is fair), so there will be even less available on the door, I think it was 400 last night, any confirmed numbers? Speaking to people, seems people were turning up at 6:30pm and buying tickets on the door, which seems crazy, Seatwave are selling for £220 tonight atm which is a joke when u got a great chance to queue abit and save £150.

Still don't know how the ID check works, I got a ticket through a work friend who had a spare, so had her name on, so I got a transfer letter from her with booking details/credit card, emails from ticketline etc, they went down the line before opening the doors telling people to have tickets and ID ready, so I went 'oh dear <expletives removed>', they let people in small groups (about 30), lots of showsec security checking tickets, the line was really well run, I went with paperwork and explanation prepared, he has asked for ticket and ID, scanned ticket and just said ok, I was like, really???? I think the ID was incase the ticket scanned and had been used already, so people printing copies for friends and trying it on etc, that's my guess, but didn't seem to matter if your a man and have a woman's name on the ticket not matching ID, so I was under my Friday night name wink

Was great putting a face to some Orger usernames, funny to meet Unique by finding me by position in queue as I posted my line number !!!!

Less said about Fiasco about announcing second gig the better, most hung around till midnight wondering if it was happening, total confusion, which shouldn't happen at a gig like this, they are too loose with the tweeting.

Glad second gig was canned as we got a full gig for the people who queued/bought tickets up front, I think he would have got bad press if he would have cut the set short, then played another longer set later for a further £70, allot of people wouldn't have been able to afford both, I'd be surprised if there was a second gig tonight, as the numbers just were not there for it, and word would have gone round what happened with the £35 for a few songs risk last night.

Not sure how the 2 lines worked, paying line was at other side of venue, In the gig I was next to people who bought tickets on the day, so I think they sold tickets and opened the ticket holders queue at the same time, so people who queued to a buy a ticket early were right at the front with people who turned up early and queued with a ticket.

You must have been very close to me. I was 122 and I remember some fellas coming down the queue asking if you were the person with whatever number you were. Like you I thought SBE was slightly better as I'd not seen him since Manchester in 2002, but I had a far better view and spot in the crowd this time. Dead centre a few foot from Prince rocking that bass guitar will live long in the memory

Yeah, a few faces I recognised from SBE, I was closer at the Academy than SBE (didn't have th 3.5hr mad rush drive after the announcement!!!), being up close makes a big difference at these shows, really has an aftershow vibe compared to the big arena shows etc.

Glad I seen these if he does come back later for bigger tour venues, I can see him carrying on this plan of playing smaller venues at short notice around big cities for abit. I think 3rd Eye Girl suit the small rocky venues, I think they would struggle in a bigger venus like O2/Wembley,he would probably go back to a bigger band like NPG with some eye candy dancers, so more a show than a gig, probably with him playing less guitar and Shelby etc doing more vocals.

Self managed in the queue with either someone taking the pen and numbering or just passing it on, worked really well and helped those who turned up very early as they could grab a drink etc from Costa or kro bar

Friend who went in last night at 22:30 for £35 been told by box office he can go in tonight and use last night's ticket, no queuing, so could be first in, so they are being looked after, anyone heard how many on sale tonight? Be less due to last night's 2nd show being let in as well as ticketed
