Was thinking that earlier, he played EVERYTHING! Half of SOTT and Purple Rain, new songs, personal favourites... They were on fire!

That was epic, far better than last night and a plectrum to boot. Met some lovely people in the queue too, Mandy from Manchester and the Australian lady working in Belgium who flown in especially, the best Prince gig...

So that comment at the end that they were gonna take a break, drop the album, then come back again? Do we think that means a break in the shows?

the guy in the beard was jay who did the line yesterday, with the tags in kirens tweets

i personally thought yesterday was the better show though. tonight was great though, like an afterparty. he did starfish and coffee, under the cherry moon and sometimes it snows in april on the piano. cause and effect, guitar, colonized mind, i could never take the place of your man, fixup, funk n roll, the sample set WDC SOTT AS FIYL, purple rain, plectrum electrum, endorphinemachine

tonight was better than EB and koko, perhaps as good as SBE but a very different show. ronnie and kings row shouldn't be compared to these shows.

amosphere was pretty incredible. very hot and sweaty

I don't think you can ever compare like for like. It depends on the day, your mood, your postion and the set list in personal meaning.

Tonight, I wasnt due to go (I was due to go yesterday, but didn't, long story). I invented a reason to pick up a new TV from West Brom at lunchtime, but didn't tell Mrs Squirrel it would be a shame if I didn't pop an hour up the road to see P again.

This time I was at the back of the queue and just got in the back of the hall. In fact, I quite liked not doing the squeeze down the front that I'm used to.

Show was off the scale. I think P had something to prove tonight. Gut feel, SBE was still the best on sheer performance, but I'm commenting on this at Sandbach service station, knackered, so maybe not best place to pass judgement.

That was an awesome, hot, sweaty, stunning, varied show.

Need to collect some thoughts, but but they were a joy to watch for 3 incredible hours in such an intimate setting.

Well I'm glad you said that as I was at SBE.. But you are dead right it depends on so many factors... I enjoy being at the back sometimes and taking it all in. I think I'm ready to go closer in if he pulls another gig out the bag in London though...Brixton??? Had the chance to go tonight but would have seriously posses of the mrs..

I'm ill. I could not speak for ages after what just happened on that stage. Maybe after a sleep my spirit will slip back into my body cuz Prince ripped it clean out with that performance. Astounding. The best show I have ever or probably ever will see in my life, & I got front row!! Still can't believe the amount of songs Prince & 3rdeyegirl played. From the top of my head: Let's go crazy, Fixurlifeup, Guitar, Something in the Water, Icnttpoym, oh my brain is mush. when were dancing close & slow, How come u dint call me anymore, if I was it girlfriend, sign o the times, 4ever in my life, alphabet street, housequake, hot thing, the beautiful ones, Diamonds & pearls, nothing compares, Under the cherry moon then into Sometimes it snows in April, oh, screwdriver, chaos & disorder, Ahhh!!! What else?? The max! Cool, Endorphinmachine, colonized mind, cause & effect, I seriously can't even remember most of them. I am just scrambled eggs at the minute! Don't even want to think about Prince on the bass or I'm gonna start dribbling again like a looney tune! drooling omg omg omg....

Want to write clearly about it & I feel like my soul, my emotions & my mind have been totally destroyed tonight!! It was that mind blowing.

3hours 5mins. I still can't believe it. :faint:

If I could say thank u a million times to Prince & those wonderfully talented musicians he has in 3rdeyegirl, I would never stop. From the very bottom of my heart, thank u Mr Prince Rogers Nelson!!!! Tonight u filled that room with ur very special Love... & I'm just besotted by u & ur heavenly musical talent!!

So. A couple of last thoughts. Highlights for me were - starfish and coffee, alphabet street! housequake, cool, when we're dancing. Was about 4 rows back having been number 80, and near the middle. Being the same height as Prince it was fantastic for once to be in an enclave of fellow shorties without fat Peter Crouches getting in the way - I know people can't help being tall, but it's still a bugger.

The only thing I want to ask at this moment is during when we're dancing, when it was quieter and he was going really soft did it sound like there were loads if people talking, that gradually got louder - like u might get with a shit band in a bar - really love that song but that sorta would it a bit and I was thinking what the fuck must Prince be thinking about that.

Any way still on a purple high! Hope everyone else is buzzing to fuck. Oh, and endorphinmachine Defoe got played. Peace out brothers and sisters. Mikey

I was one of the first 5-10 in today so had an amazing spot front row slightly to the right so I could see him behind that obstructive symbol. Prince playing the bass line to Nasty Girl had me going crazy!! I don't even know why but the place was ELECTRIC during that segment. There's something about the bass line that's just so...well, NASTY lol And Prince being the one playing it just sent me over the edge. The full rendition of How Come You Don't Call Me was truly incredible (those screams and high notes eek)
