Had a great experience last night thanx to the org. Like many others on Wednesday night I was gutted to miss out on the tickets. On Thursday night I was completely devoted to the org, tweets etc and I was lucky enough to catch a post from hw3004 saying he had a spare ticket. I responded and we exchanged messages to meet at the academy. As a woman on my own, I was excited but a little anxious to how this might play out. We arranged to meet at the Kro bar. I was a little un-nerved at his description of himself. Bald, with a beard wearing a pea jacket. Hw3004 was a real gent. We joined the queue together and chatted generally and made other friends in the queue. The whole thing was great. Prince and 3eg were awesome. We were about 4-6 back from the front in the middle. Hw3004 and I did are own thing. Staying in eye contact to know where each other were. We stayed hoping for more from Prince but I gave up before hw3004 and left to meet my son in town. I urge fans with spare tickets to follow hw3004's example and use the org for contact between fans. We can look after each other and stay safe. Hw3004 and I will keep each other's details. I hope I can repay him in the future, maybe if Prince comes to newcastle? Jay it was great to meet you. Your a legend now. I hear you were on telly too! Hope you enjoyed your first Prince gig! Overall a great experience, I'm sure Prince smiled at ME! Lol! Thanx again hw3004! Your unselfish attitude to having a spare ticket should be applauded and copied. Funk and roll Prince army!! | |
