For sure? Prince has dropped the mic before, so we could extrapolate that to mean that it was a nod to himself. Or someone before him in the 60s and 70s who has dropped the mic. How can you be sure? lol

I still say he was going thought the motions at he first KOKO show but I think that was mainly because he had his eye firmly on the $$$ of 3 shows.

Did you do the math?

How may people in KOKO? 1000? 2000?

Times what?

Still not so much as the quoted prices of USD 1.5 million for a show, probably in a larger arena. (10K? 15K people)

So if he actually is worrying about 6 figues then something is wrong.

I just meant they were planning to do 3 shows out if the evening with &70 per entry...hence the first 1500 were booted out to make way for another 1500 after 90 minutes. So instead of doing a 'full show' (like SBE and Manchester) for £105k they were looking to get £210k or, originally,£315k...hence the first showcwas the stripped back set that everyone gets as a minimum

I've been to 11 gigs and that beats even the last O2 after show and I never thought I would say that. He seemed so happy. I was second row. I had a smile on the whole time even when it got to the stage I could barely stand any more.

He also played When doves Cry

Amazing amazing gig!! Stil can't come down. I was about 5th row, down the front on the right hand side of the stage!

I had a green jacket on. I spent a lot of the night getting down with a gorgeous blonde. We both went with the music!

Was supposed to get her number at the end and forgot!!

If that's anyone on here please let me know!

Random, but thought it worth a bash!

Bambi was just epic!!!

Tried to do my own list but thinking about it kept welling up like a big girl, still so happy and blown away by last night - anyone else still quite emotional? And what happened to the album being released, coulda sworn he said that no?

Got home just after 2:30. Great night, P was on fire, looked like he enjoyed it. Usual spoilers towards the end, people who think they have the right to barge to the front after xx drinks. But like a lot of us old folk who've done a lot of shows over the years have said, that one was up there amongst the good ones.

Edit: Forgot to say hi to all the good natured and friendly queuers who made 3 hours in the cold fun

I do like the idea of selling a large amount a few days before the show, then have a decent reserve amount on sale on the day, so people who need decent notice to arrange life can buy up front, then if you miss out, you still have a chance on the day, without have to buy from Seatwave/TicketStubb/Touts etc at a premium.

Sale at the door only means the people who can drop everything and go at short notice have the best chance, which rules out allot of fans with commitments.

But you need numbers to be released on how many are onsale on the day, as people need to travel and be confident on their chances to get in, I think this affected the sales on the day, as people presumed they would not have a chance, so did not gamble.

But this only works on the smaller gigs, I can never imagine an O2 or Wembley Arena where 10,000 fans turn up on the day ticketless to buy, can't see the councils giving a license for that !

The ladies in the crowd must've been wettin their panties at Prince doing all his ultra sexy ballads with that voice that was like caramel!! Hmmm hmmm!! He even got 2 bras thrown onto the stage at the end! Ha ha it was so funny! Joshua picked up the black bra with this cowbell drumstick & sort of slung it to the side! It was hilarious! razz

Prince was also giving some girl in the crowd at the otherside from us a bit of a ribbing! He kept pointing at her saying "This is about u! U know this is about u!" Then he saw that this girl had gone from her spot & said something like "Oh, we got a runner! Don't worry u'll still b able to hear us from the street!" Ha ha

God Knows what he was on about but it was funny! Then he told her she was wearing her jumper backwards or something & said "Where were u last night?! U shoulda been here last night!!" Bloody love Prince's banter when he gets started! Don't know if he was actually talking to this poor lass who did a bolt or if he was just on the wind up, ad-libbing! lol Things keep flooding back to me as I'm reminiscing on how outstanding last nights show was!

But those 2 bass solos!! shocked I kid u not, he took the bass from Ida & walked straight over to the extended stage area where we all were standing. Now earlier in the day I had tweeted 3rdeyegirl, begging P to do a bass solo. Now I don't know if it was pure luck, but he walked straight out in front of where I was, like 2feet away & started getting durty funky on that instrument! I was losing all my bodily control & function & freaking out as he slapped & popped those bass strings!! It's like the most desirable turn-on I can imagine P doing musically (apart from those soul burning ballads on piano) & he put me into some kinda bass funk spasm!! Lol The sexiest, sexiest thing I've seen & heard! kiss2 omg, I need to go lie down in a dark room! falloff

She was near us on someone's shoulder and then got down. I got the impression she wasn't sure if he was encouraging her to let others see or just having some fun.

Does anyone remember what he said about tickets and scalpers. I'm sure he apologised for the ticketing issues but don't know if it was my imagination?!?

Actually it hss worked for him! Prince did this tactic similarly on his highly successful "Welcome 2 America" tour in the US... Every stop tickets went on sale with barely a weeks notice. In some states shorter notice than that. Most shows sold out or were close to selling out, in stadium sized arenas! Some seats were released on the day of the show in 18,000 seat arenas! So it can be done! Prince is an innovator at it.. No other artist has and can do this!. Prince lives in the NOW!

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince
