To the moaners. He can't do right to for doing wrong can he?? Basically there aren't enough tickets. After checking the org about 300/400 times a day for two weeks (or however long he has been here, feels like 2 years at this point) I got tickets. It's not like I 'lucked' it! Serious work went into it. I've sprained my refresh finger big time this week. I'm a part time carer and live in Devon, I couldn't go and wait outside a club. It isn't a thing to do with how big a fan I am. It is just how the world is for me. I feel very grateful that they finally put some online. I know he should have logged in here first and told you all, but hey, there is such a thing as a Prince Fan who isn't on the Org.

If you didn't get a ticket then that blows, I know how you feel having watched the London Shows go down on here and not being involved. Tell you what tho, being happy for other people can give you a warm fuzzy glow, give it a try.

You might say Manchester is more central than Birmingham....but you'd be wrong !
More central to those living in Manchester, yes, but not to the rest of the country ! B'ham is pretty much in the middle - hence being part of the MID-LANDS as opposed to being in the North West - clues are there really ! smile

I just called the box office asking about the tickets on the door and the guy said he wasn't entirely sure how they're going to work. Prince's managment is coming in at 10 he said so i'm going to call back then. He reckons they will be on sale when the doors open

I got two sides... and they're both friends.

....suppose it depends on whether you're referring to England or the UK. Factor in that big land mass north of Hadrian's Wall and I'd wager Manchester as being more central - but geography was never my strong point!

Dear fellow orgers, I need ur advice!!

Got a tix for Sat. Earliest I can get there 2 queue is 9am (providing no train delays!) but do u think I'd still get up 2 the front barrier at the gig queuing from then? I know some proper hardcores will be in line throughout the night, so how big do u guys reckon the queue will b by 9am? I'm too wee not 2 b at the front cuz I'll see bugger all but folks heads if I'm in the middle & I'd rather not go if that's the case.

So what's ur rough guesstimations on how big it'll b by that time? Or is this an unanswerable question? lol

Thanks guys!!

If they have factored In Scotland to plan a more central city for people, Manchester is the most central big city was my point. Birmingham might be Central to England, but to GB it isnt smile

Why are you queuing if you have a ticket?

...to get to the front of the crowd.

I suspect if you wait from 9am you'll be pretty much one of the first into the venue when doors open.

I think 9am is a bit excessive if you already have a ticket lol Im planning an 1-2 hours before. Majority wont go down that early when they have a ticket already.

I think they will be expecting the only people queuing early are waiting to buy the tickets on the night, if its 1 queue to buy tickets and people who have tickets, the people who buy tickets on the night will be first in and get the best position.

Just got my tickets. Ticketline had turned off the card authorisation so more people could get thru. I almost got 4 but it was just too much to come out of my current account. Really hope those that missed out get another chance. I'm sure he'll play the phones4u arena at some point.

The midlands (Coventry in particular) is indeed the central point of England but, if memory serves, the central point of mainland Britain is somewhere in Lancashire

Yeah, got my ticket but I was under the impression from others that there will b folk queuing who have tickets also, just so they can get up front. Reason I wanna get up front is so I can see what's going on! cool beans guys, looks like the 5:40am train it shall be! biggrin

not wanting to labour a point, as geography isn't the main focus of this thread, but Scotland is a different country, as is Wales....B'ham would certainly be more convenient/central to most of Wales...as it would France, Spain......

Anyway, for those of you with tickets........enjoy !! cool

It's my understanding that there could be a third Prince gig in Manchester but small venue, very few tickets.
