As you appear to doubt the 'old' news that I posted a link to, you could gather some new figures about the financial health of Austria. And thus save the Linz show. smile

uhhhmm nope, we are not talking about facts, but about an OPINION PIECE

and as it turns after a bit of googling it's an opinion piece from some twisted paranoid Nazi WHACKO

the author Friedrich Romig turns out to be an right wing populist and straight forward antiesemite who's not even hiding this fact, he's spreading his utter horseshit in various right wing Nazi papers and websites, he's spouting nonsense and hateful tirades since decades, against democracy and all sorts of politicians, especially against the European Union (also in the very article above you gave) and formost against a Jewish world conspiracy and the root of ALL evil: the JEWS...
in a word, Romig a LOONEY completely disconnected from reality. now can we put this silly article to rest? (yeah, I tried with google-translate and the result is awful, but I don't think the problem lies in the translation but rather in the original text... smile )

just look at all those gems

http://www.doew.at/frames...romig.html

http://www.couleurstudent...php?id=134

okay, even though your old "news" aren't news by any definition of the word, I'll bite anyway

so here's some statistic til 2009, and while we're not exactly doing like Norway it's quite okay compared to some others (hey, I heard over the years Prince gave shows even in the frigggin' UK omfg )

so you can sleep well, the Linz show is save smile

oh, and it's called Lince from now on nod

Since when are facts inversely related to old news?

Old news could by now be recognised as truth and thus fact.

Thanks a lot for the insightful numbers and information posted.

Based on this: how big would the effect on ticket sales be?

Does anybody have numbers on the Linz presale?

Hello Austria biggrin

I'm coming to Linz from Geneva.

Anybody think that there might be a possibility for an aftershow? Just wondering cause P. is not playing till the 18th...so it leaves room for unscheduled shows.

Bon jour Stella06,

wow, Prince is playing in your hometown the day before and you are coming to Linz for the (after?)show biggrin Are you touring with him ?

First of all we have high hopes that the main concert will take place - nothing is shure but everything is possible - so why not an aftershow in Linz ?! Posthof ,mentioned already, would be the perfect place I guess, P's people should check it out..........

Hi guys, looking to buy tickets to this show for family.... looking at the webite for buying tickets, just a mess!

seating arrangement at this URL (sorry, don't know how to link)

http://www.oeticket.com/portal/en/seatmap/209628/?currency=EUR&disable_gzhandler

Where the hell is the stage? I don't want to put them right up the back, miss the action!

GC tickets seem to be up the back of section 6, €137. Any ideas?

I really don't know. It is a concert by a guy named Prince. Let's just hope the band plays something he knows, so he can play and sing a long.

Thanks a lot for the link. That´s still quite expensive. Do you think there are any hotels half the price?

you can try Goldenes Dachl, not exactly a luxury hotel to spend your holidays, but should be fine for a day or two

if you don't require a real hotel but more something falling in the categorty "youth hostel", here are a few (though I can't really recommend any from personal experience)

http://www.linz.at/touris...?GebID=217

http://www.linz.at/touris...?GebID=222 and http://www.junges-wohnen.at/

http://www.linz.at/touris...?GebID=146

and here's a search engine for more http://www.linz.at/touris..._suche.asp

hope you can find something
