also have been at the golden circle back than - friend of mine was at the security and gave us the armbands ... we talked to michael b. who was standing next to the station about an 1 hour before the concert - man - good remembers ..

hey, we also had a chat with Michael B to the side of the stage before the show. if I remember correctly he refused to write us some autogramme. sucka smile

yeah right - but he gave us the hint, that there will be an afterhour and also talked about the technical museum - so we were there and had one of the best p-experiences ever (our man was standing just half an meter next to be before the concert and than we have been in first row - it was all so great ...

So DID Prince perform in Technisches Museum ?? Because I've heard somewhere that it was "just" the band playing, he was there but didn't take part of it ??

I was at Donauinsel too and quite enjoyed it but had no idea of the aftershow sad

Yes he did perform. There is even a photo of it in the Sacrifice of Victor book ( I hope that is the correct title).

Donauinselfest - Vienna + Aftershow - Technisches Museum!
I missed the Museum gig but I was at the Donausinsel, within what now would be called the golden circle. however, at that time this didn't have higher price, the first folks who arrived simply got access and an armband for free ...and believe me, we were running fast!!! smile you were one year old back then eek and for the sign'o' the times gig @Wiener Stadthalle probably even your parents were too young to attend confused damn, I'm old as fuck cool woot!

[Edited 5/30/10 23:51pm]

It always was like that back in ther day if a concert was not seated. I pretty much always was there, most of the times because somebody let me in in that golden circle even though I arrived not that early boxed.

So I think we might hear Peach again in Linz, the other 3 would be a big surprise, what ?

This will be your first Prince-concert ?

Austria is bankrupt, they write.

Would the concert be not another Croke Park?

Well, being bankrupt should not always imply anything. See the USA.

But I guess the Austria situation is slightly different so wel'll see...

Didn't notice that at all - but as the article is 2 years old, maybe i forgot that fact smile

As one of the richest countries in the world, I think a chance to become bankrupt is not that high for austria - but who knows!

But what has this article to do with a p-concert?

If you think financials have nothing to do with ticket sales you should act like you did. Based on what did you utter what you did? Slowish ticket sales are reported (not by me) so why would that be, aside from the 'hits'? My tickets are underway so it is relevant to me too.

I don't understand the article myself, and it's not importatnt enough to ask my wife to translate it for me smile but whatever it says, it seems a bit outdated judging only by the politician names mentioned... Vranitzky, Schuessel, Andreas Khol, Mock, Busek, Klima... eek

so let's put it this way, that article won't cause me any sleepless nights smile

For translation there are services to assist you. e.g. translate.google.com. Also: names change, but the debt stays. I don't say it is all truth but they write and wrote about it. It might be a factor, that's all.
