I ordered my ticket on thursday. Hopefully, I will have it today in the morning in my hands. smile eek

It was a long way to go for the Austrian Fans -Prince played I think 1993 his last concert in Austria - but the waiting is now over.

Unfortunatly most twelve year olds probably wouldn't know that Hitler was born in Linz (or very close actually). Anyway Leonard Cohen greeted the crowd with "seig Heil' and 'wollen Sie totalen Kreig?' when he played the Sportspalast (Berlin) in the 70s when he was no longer 12. Don't mention the war!!
So what if he was born in Linz? 99.99% of the crowd that will be there in July has absolutely nothing to do with what happened 80-90 years ago, whereas it was still quite relevant in the 70's and had some kind of intellectual shock value. People nowadays would just give them the "what the fuck?"-look if anyone did that.
So Prince plays a concert in the birthplace of the greatest criminal lunatic in history (100 million deaths at a rough estimate), who started a war that in fact resonates to this day in so many profound ways that most people wouldn't be aware of - including the internet, a product of cold war bomb research, in turn a product of WW2 - and we shouldn't even mention it on a message board? Now I'm going WTF!

Please stop your comments!!! They are not affecting the topic and are not true: Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau, not in Linz. And Braunau is not close to Linz, although it´s the same state.

omg oh shit, now you spoiled my trap which I laid out in post #72 lol

I asked if he would post his shit too, if the concert were in Munich or Salzburg... of course I expected him to answer no.... then gotcha! cause as you said, Hitler was not born in Linz but in Braunau - hear me narcotizedmind??? - BRAUNAU, and that is in fact much closer to Salzburg than to Linz and about the same distance from Linz as Munich.
I know he would have failed the test, however, I don't even blame him for not knowing where exactly Hitler was born. but I do blame him for trolling around without checking his information first, which would have been only a few google seconds away.

so narcotizedmind, you've shown that you are obviously more ignorant and uninformed than the 12 year olds you mentioned. FAIL. and now get lost, silly

Does anyone know if there are still enough tickets available? I have just activated the function for paying abroad on my credit card but it´ll take 3 working days to activate it. So I don´t know if I can wait till it gets activated or if I should ask my aunt to buy it for me.

So far nobody mentioned anywhere that there an no tickets available anymore or that it's nearly sold-out. What kind of ticket are you thinking about buying?

The cheapest, standing ones.

Oh I'm sure they still have plenty left! You'll be alright if you wait a couple of days, I believe.

And if that's still too risky for you, you could still preorder for an additional 2-4€ shrug

No, I´d rather have my aunt pay for it for me. I´ll try to wait till Wednesday. Hopefully, there will be some left.
