Steelers sign Dangerfield, Washington

Posted 3 hours ago

Two more players were added to the roster via futures contracts.

The Steelers signed two players to Reserve/Future contracts, safety Jordan Dangerfield and wide receiver L’Damian Washington, the team announced today.

Dangerfield re-joins the Steelers after spending a portion of the 2014 season on the team’s practice squad. The 5-11, 199-pound Towson product entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills following the 2013 NFL Draft. He spent the 2014 training camp in Pittsburgh.

Washington entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys following the 2014 NFL Draft. He had stints on the practice squads of the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins in 2014. The 6-4, 200-pound Missouri product totaled 100 receptions for 1,735 yards and 15 touchdowns in his collegiate career.
Well I'm all for getting a safety but the Steelers don't need anymore Wide receivers.

OC Todd Haley was signed to an extension through 2017.

Yeah the Rooneys need to discuss this with Dick and ask him to step

away while he glued together a patchwork defense this year and went

11-5. It's time for some new ideas and new blood. Ask most Steelers fans

who are often frustrated with LeBeau's system of rarely starting rookie defenders or giving them meaningful playing time in their first or second seasons and they will say yes it's time for change.

NFL announces they missed at least 7 calls that would have favored the Cowboys in that game.

All of you conspiracy theorists are funny. The Lions should have played better, bottom line. The better team advanced.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

like i said, the NFL "researching" its missed calls is indicative of their guilt. the "better team" got handed a victory and will get their guts stomped out this weekend by the seahawks to everyone's delight!

it is pretty odd to say the least to try to blame the Cowboys for bad calls. are people so bitter over the loss they have to invent that somehow jerry bribed the officials? Right!

I have not seen the picks for this game but dallas and gb have identical records...so any notion that GB should dominate dallas is just nonsense. now they may... anything can happen... but come on get over the loss.

looks like i was correct:

*look up at my calls last week, not that they were not (for this week) safe picks.....

but they have Seahawks, Pats, Broncos as highly favored... and dallas/gb as even splits.

as the line is GB -6.5 (which means that GB is favored to win)

Ah I was over it the next day and it wasn't like I had Detroit winning that game.
Questionable calls happen in a lot of games it's just that in this case the most blatant obvious bad call that is called a penalty 99.9 percent of the time was mysteriously overturned and Dez Bryant wasn't flagged for running his stupid ass on the field(the words of a Cowboys friend). lol
Then the league tries to justify and insult the public intelligence by coming
up with some bullshit about there being seven missed calls on the Lions. Did they add up any more missed calls on the Cowboys during their so called investigation? No conspiracy theorist here but objective fans can smell bullshit a mile away.

one bad call or 1000 is not a basis to excuse any other bad call. My issue is not was that a bad call...but with those that whine about just that one as if 1) it clearly changed the outcome and 2) it was the only bad call and 3) that it was some plot between the reff and the team 4) that someone dallas players were in on it.

Note there is a big difference between pointing out other calls and the leap to suggest thoes excuse this one. I am sure some have done that.

well as much as I like to be Right... i would love to get this one wrong...

but despite that early Raven TD the Pats are playing very well

Half time edit! Wow! the Ravens are playing some football! I am shocked! I will be glad if the Pats lose even if it makes my calls wrong.

Watch the play. It was not defensive pass interference.

Just in Dick LeBeau steps down as Steelers DC. It is believed LB coach Keith Butler will take over as DC.

Dick LeBeau resigns as Defensive Coordinator

Posted 8 hours ago

Longtime Steelers’ defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau has resigned from his position, it was announced today.

Longtime Steelers’ defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau has resigned from his position, it was announced today.

“We want to thank Dick for his many years of service with the team and all that he has done for this organization,” said Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin. “His coaching helped lead us to many successful seasons and championships. We are very appreciative of his efforts, and we wish him well.”

LeBeau had been with the organization for 16 seasons, including serving as defensive coordinator from 1995-96 and from 2004-14. He was also the team’s secondary coach from 1992-94. In his 13 years as defensive coordinator the Steelers have finished in the top-five in total defense 11 times, five of those times the team had the top overall ranked defense.

In his 13 seasons as the Steelers’ defensive coordinator, the team won seven division championships, four AFC Championships and two Super Bowls, while making the playoffs a total of nine times.

The league needs to address this bs. Cowboys just got their Super Bowl taken away. The pack didn't need to earn this one. Shit, at least the lions had a chance to win last weeks game in the end. Cowboys were screwed. Played a better game, on the road, and came up losers. Unbelievable
