I didn't purchase my tickets when they first went on sale. In fact the only way I got in was through an industry insider. Because the show was COMPLETELY SOLD OUT! I don't do scalpers.

Like I said just 1 show sold out. This is just like the new Arsenio Hall show where his first show brought in big ratings beating out all the other late night talk shows, but after that the ratings plummeted and soon he was cancelled after only 8 months. Same thing here. This picture was probably photoshopped.

Would-be concert goers are getting emotional over Janet Jackson’s

recent tour date rescheduling, canceling and other recent announcements

regarding the state of her health, her career and most recently,

her decision to put things on hold to plan her future family with husband

Wissam Al Mana.

Fans were angered this week over how ticket refund requests were

rumored to be denied and took to Twitter to voice their frustration,

with comments getting quite ugly with some taking it as far as to criticize

the singer for stealing their money to fund her future baby shower and so on.

Given the fact that Jackson was vague about when (or if) she would be

returning to touring, Ticketmaster sent an email saying that they were

treating the concerts as postponed, so were not offering refunds in turn — i.e.

fans had a legitimate reason to be less than happy with how everything was

being handled because they had no idea if a tour would actually happen in the

future and tickets weren't exactly inexpensive.

In Jackson's message thanking fans for their support and announcing

the tour's "sudden change," she expressed her gratitude while leaving

things vague saying, "I will see you soon."

Luckily, after two days of confusion and anger from disappointed fans,

Jackson’s camp and Ticketmaster have finally got it together and have

stated that they will be honoring tickets purchased for rescheduled shows

in 2017, when the tour will presumably will resume,

and refunds also will be made available. Phew.

Thank goodness things didn’t escalate any further because it was

starting to get ugly on Twitter.

She's supposed to be a professional in the music industry. She's cancelling her shows to "start a family" at 50? That's unprofessional and she deserves to be called that at least.

Madonna completed a world tour being called every name in the book as well as going through a custody battle. But she FINISHED what she set out to do without bullshitting her way out it. That's what a professional does.

Janet can't take the heat and she has left the kitchen.

Yeah like yours. Like one orger said she could've planned a family while she was on her four year hiatus when she was out of sight out of mind. I will repeat it again the first postponement announcement I know was this past Christmas eve right AFTER the announcement of the rock and roll hall of fame inductees and she didn't make the cut. She didn't have to say alot about it to the media, it still didn't mean she wasn't looking forward to it especially with Control being 30 years old and the fan vote on the RRHOF site. She came of out hiding because she thought she would be Prince of 2004 without the hustle and bustle he did that year.

I don't see hate in this thread. I see an artist being called out for her unprofessional behavior. She cancelled her European dates a few weeks ago and made no formal statement to her fans about the cancellation. Now recently, she puts out a video announcement that she will be postponing her tour to start a family. At the very least, she should have expected that fans would going to ticketmaster wanting their money back. The handling of refunds should have been ironed out with her promoters before releasing that video statement. Alot of this could have been avoided. She has earned this unreliable and unprofessional reputation.

Nothing against fans but she knows this is just a shady bullshit business, she never chose to be famous and just wants a normal life and at 50 she wants to celebrate it, not fall victim to it putting others and a corporation before her own needs.

There is a way to do that without treating your fans like this. Keep in mind her last few tours( bar one) have suffered a simialr fate. If she wanted to live a normal life, celebrate and not fall victim as you say she could have remained in semi-retirement.

News came out today that the tour is delayed until 2017, and that tickets could be held onto and would be honored, or ticket holders could get a refund.

I'm over Janet. I don't even care anymore. Shes unprofessional and disrespectful. Its gross how she has let her fans down.

I definitely agree it could have and should have been handled better though I'm happy for her too. I got my refund today. Normally I would have hung onto it for the new date, but I spent a shitload on a bunch of tickets, that's a year away and the show is likely not going to even happen. Guess I got a good credit and a day off, one that was hard to get. I don't like the uncertainty of not knowing either but now we know.

thing is i got that email from the VENUE not from LIVE NATION/TICKETMASTER before LIVE NATION decided to make a statement. i already requested my refund. she know good and well she not resuming that tour. the project is Burnt Toast.
