Janet Jackson fans are pissed they're being denied refunds on their Unbreakable tour tickets -- even though they have no idea when or if Janet will be back.

Janet announced Wednesday she's postponing the rest of the tour because she's suddenly starting a family, but was vague about when she'd return. Several of the venues where Janet was supposed to play tell us they haven't gotten official word the tour's been called off yet ... and general consensus is it will go on at a later date.

Ticketmaster sent an email to ticket holders saying, until they get word about a cancellation they're treating it as postponed and rescheduled ... so no refunds.

Even if Janet's camp rolls out new dates in the future, people who threw down hundreds for a seat are stuck waiting months, and possibly more than a year ... depending on her baby situation.

And many fans just don't want to wait awhile.

dude from customer service chuckled when I told him I was calling about getting a refund because Janet Jackson publically announced she was delaying her tour dates..
He already knew the situation, he said he's been getting call after call about people wanting their money back for their Janet tickets.. He sounded really agitated too (not with me, but with the whole situation)..
dude said that what Janet is trying to do is what Lil Wayne did recently on one of his tours.. He said Wayne went on his Twitter and announced that he was done with his tour, mid-tour, and that he wasn't going to do anymore shows.. The problem with that is Wayne never told any of his promoters he was quitting and he was still legally contracted to fulfill these shows, and thusly ended up still doing a lot of the shows he said he wasn't going to (after negotiations to drop some shows)..
the TM guy said this is exactly what Janet is trying to do.. In fact, he said to me verbatim: "she's trying to force these cancellations" 
He went on to explain that normally, artists who are contracted with their promoters to do these shows do not announce that their bowing out until after signing the agreement with their promoters, production company and ticket distributors that the cancellation/postponement may occur..
he said she's doing this ass-backwards and that her video announcing the delay was the first, and so far only, steps she has taken to reschedule/cancel any of her remaining dates, and that she is making it look really bad for her in regards to any possible future endeavors/tours.. Especially since she has cancelled so many shows already..
you guys.. I don't knoow.. It's legitimately possible that the TM dude was just fed-up dealing wih Janet fans asking for refunds and that he was just spewing his own feelings.. But he wasn't saying to me it like all that was his opinions, he said these are the things that he and his co-workers are being told by their higher-ups...
take all this info anyway ya want to... But I can't say any it is hard to believe..

So basically what the facebook-Fan is wanting Janet to do is pick smaller venues/Concert Halls since she's unable to sell out most stadiums? I'm guessing the Promoter made some money on the shows she did do, so he/she is probably in agreement that it's better to cancel/postpone the remaining shows since the sells are low...This is more about Money than Janet starting a Family...This is about bizness....

She did say delayed, so if she picks it back up in a year or so, those ticket holders tickets will be valid. She's not just taking the money and running. I agree that would be a good course of action for now. But I also wonder about it from a promoter's point of view, or LiveNation's. If a tour is declared over, who loses money, and will it ever start up again? He post poned parts of Rock Withcu Tour, and it just fizzled out unfortunately. If it's declared as delayed - then perhaps funding stays in place, and everyone stands a chance to recoup their investment.

I do sorta believe that she's really digging in to do this for the fans, and to take care of them. She's been quite forth coming on social media about updates, etc. "I told you that you'd hear it from my lips first..." That's a plus, and different than past tours that have had problems.

If those fans with tickets find out the tour is eventually and officially over, they will get a refund. I mean, does Janet want that kind of bad press, or LiveNation? That's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I said this in the other thread: if she can't commit to a tour 100%,then don't do a tour at all! There is no excuse. If she can't be bothered to finish the tour during the "planning" stages of starting her family, how in the fuck is she going to feel about touring next year so soon after becoming a new mother? She's been doing nothing for the past 5 years and now all of a sudeen, in the middle of a world tour she has already committed to she HAS to "plan" to start a family? Complete and utter bullshit. Of course I wish her nothing but the best when it comes to starting her family and if that's what she wants to do then great for her. The way she went about this though is completely wrong, rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. It's time to give up the touring aspect of her career. Clearly, she's simply not into it anymore.

The same thing happened to Michael who was also 50. AEG shouldn't have even thought about 50 shows. They would've been lucky to have gotten him to do the original 10.

I didn't purchase my tickets when they first went on sale. In fact the only way I got in was through an industry insider. Because the show was COMPLETELY SOLD OUT! I don't do scalpers.

I remember looking up through the whole arena & it wasn't an empty seat in the house. I was so proud of Janet accomplishing that. It came full circle for me that night. Remembering when we first met & how far we came. The hate that I read about her on this site disgust me.

Janet cares DEEPLY for her fans.
