Does her hubby have any duets with her on this album? It would be interesting if they teamed up for a song.

I mean..how good are those two jams? Havent heard her do a good slow heartbreaking song like these since "Mine Again" and "Circles".

Especially "Camaflogue" The layers of vocal aerobatics, the gospel background vocalists singing with all their might in places...the eerie wind. I was blown away by those two tracks. The album as a whole is alright actually better than E=MC2 and Memiors. If anything, she needs to work more with Jim Wright, they have magic together. You can tell he really challenges her voice because she doesnt really push boundaries outside of his productions.

The rapping I could do away with, except for Nas on Dedicated.

Meteorite, Heavenly, Thirsty my favs. Thirsty is kind of funny by the time she gets to the bridge, she is laughing.."oh you a 'g' now? haha.." cute.

Really like the male vocalist on Dedicated as well...I want to bump this in my car.

You'd think Mariah would tire of wearing clothes 2 sizes to small, but, alas, disbelief no.

Maybe it's just the camera angle or less than flattering material in her clothing?

I know what you mean smile I have seen a few outfits on her that are a bit less than flattering. I think this black dress that she's wearing that was posted in this thread, perhaps wasn't a good fit.

I started to pick up the deluxe edition at Best Buy last night , but they're selling it at the unbelievable price of $19.99. Could that be the reason no one is hurrying out to pick up copies?

EXACTLY! Those songs are beautiful. She and Big Jim did their thing with those.

It really is a good album. And I'm happy she got to use some of the remixes from the last album as bonus tracks, since the remix album was shelved.

The added bonus including Art of Letting Go was nice. Would have been nice to have dance versions of Triumphant too they were pretty coolbut dont need two copies. I liked R. Kelly in Betcha Gon' Know that was cute. Mary J didnt add anything extra to It's A Wrap. Dont know if their voices match.

Ya Does Jim Wright work with many female artists? His songs are so emotional and soulful

He does! I love when Jim works with people. He really undersrand getting emotion from artists. He tried to do that with Nicci Gilbert on R&B Divas, but she wanted to fight him so much.

I always called Big Jim, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis' secret weapon. And, he's always worked well with Mariah.

Now that this album has flopped, maybe now Mariah will come to her senses, ditch the hip-hop producers, and record a truly soulful album next time.

I think she will continue recording the same stuff over and over again for her hardcore fans (the Gaga route), that's what she seems to do best. She's just not commercial anymore, she's already lucky she lasted this long, nearly 25 years.

I think she has to do a complete overhaul of her management team, ditch hip-hop altogether, part ways with Def Jam, and go back to writing hit songs with Walter Afanasieff again.

I don't think the album itself is bad. Most of the hip-hop she did on it worked. The problem is bad management. Her whole team failed her. The first week the album wasn't even in the weekly store fliers, and it wasn't even a good sale price.

Then they picked all the wrong singles, except "#Beautiful," but that came out last year. Who thought "Thirsty" should have been the next single? There are better songs on the cd. "Make It Look Good" or "You Don't Know What To Do" could have easily been singles.

Then the NBC special she did last week was on a Saturday night, when most folks are not watching.

I was sure after the promotion of Memoirs of An Imperfect Angle was messed up, she would have been done with Def Jam. Then she had the American Idol fiasco.

She needs to regroup quickly and come up with-at least- a two year plan for the future because the old model of how she's doing things isn't working. I know she already has a legacy and money, but at least keep the career in tack. I don't know who told her to make Jermaine Dupri her manager. Anyone with no management background could have seen that was a mistake from the jump.
