Left Eye's sister gave an interview on the radio this past week as well, and basically said she and her family weren't 100% happy with how Left Eye was portrayed in the movie. T-Boz and Chilli only contacted them to sign off on allowing them to put Left Eye's "character" in the movie, but they didn't include them on the script/casting/production or anything:

So basically we have 4 stories going on the one we saw in the movie, from the point of view of T-Boz and Chilli, then we have Crystal Jones who didn't like being shown as talentless and lazy, we have Pebbles and her children who are upset of course with her character in the movie, and we now have Left Eye's family. I don't think the fall out from this movie will be over any time soon.

This all may be true, but certain labels out there has reneged on deals with certain artists. For an example, has Prince gotten back his masters? It's 2013 and leaving. He may never get it back.

I have persoanl experience of being on a Toni Braxton video set when she was at the apex of her career, and the woman shut down production because she was pissed there was no CHANEL VAMP nail polish to color her nails . Had to send a P.A. clear across 2 counties to every mall on the map to track down that polish- meanwhile the clock is ticking and thousands are being wasted, and all because of what? Vanity and an insatiable need to have the in thing at the moment that everyone craved (VAMP was extraordinarily hard to get in its' heyday). Anyone with any degree of sense would have just accepted the YSL /Bobbi Brown version of that shade (as they were already there) and kept it MOVING.

It's also a bit different as Toni wasn't managed by Pebbles, who happened to be married to LA Reid, the head of LaFace at the time

I was just thinking....this situation was a clear case of conflict of interest: TLC's manager was Pebbles,who was married to the head of their record company,La Face Records.
