Yeah but you conveniently fail to acknowledge the fact that TLC had more success period. No matter whether they had a number 1 hit on the Hot 100, country charts, hip hop, etc. They also had some hits that narrowly missed number 1 peaking at number 2 not to mention top ten singles.

I didn't "conveniently fail to acknowledge" anything. Is there anybody who didn't know that TLC was a more successful act? They sold way more records, had way more crossover/mainstream success, and had a much longer sustained period of success (and work in general). All of that was probably known by everyone in this thread. I just mentioned an interesting fact that most people didn't know — which is obvious because several of you tried to argue it.

If you read my post reply 152 I gave Pebbles her props as far as having a few hits. My only

argument was that you can count on one hand the number of songs by her that are instantly recognizable by the average music head with Girlfriend and Mercedes Boy being the two. Only diehard Pebbles fans like you would instantly recognize more and I stand by what I say and I'm not the only one here who's stated it. Old school radio formats that specialize in 70's, 80's, and 90's music aren't spinning Giving You the Benefit(although a number one hit) which is considered weak by many orgers whenever this song is bought up. They aren't spinning Always either which

is a much better song. Like I said I'm not a Pebbles fan but she had some hits in her

time over the course of two albums which I acknowledge and she even had 1 or 2 that

I wasn't even aware of that charted modestly.

lol Of course I read your reply in post 152! My response to it is where I brought up (as an aside) Pebbles having more R&B #1 hits than TLC. You (and a few others) tried to argue it, but then you later mentioned you misread what I wrote. I've been following everything just fine.

As for the made-up statistics about "average music heads" and your alleged Heimdallesque knowledge of "old school radio formats," I see those are just going to keep coming... neutral

I'm surprised Wendy didn't ask "Sister Perri" about her close friendship to Whitney! But I guess she had enough juicy dirt to grill her about TLC. The real villain in this is LA REID! The tone in Pebbitone Inc. Its where it all started! Its the reason prince kept sending him threatening emails and invited him to his show to let the audience know who the real slave master is!

Sister Perri seems very bitter towards Reid also...I will say she has aged very well and still looks as good as she did when she sung "Mercedes Boy"!!!! But it wasn't very christian like for her to accuse Chilli of sleeping with her husband. Especially since they supposedly made amends years ago!!!

"Substantial"? Who cares? I think "Girlfriend" is better than anything Karyn White ever did and "Love Makes Things Happen" is a better duet than "Love Saw It." I get that you disagree. I'm mystified as to why you're confused that I disagree with you. shrug

And again, "Mercedes Boy" isn't a LaFace song.

I won't question your fetish for Shakesperian like words in this thread. My alleged

knowledge? I'm basing my knowledge off what I hear from a cluster of old school

radio formats I constantly hear from my travels between the Carolinas and Georgia

thank you kindly. What damn made up stats of average music heads? I didn't make any statistical claims just a statement that I feel is accurate based off the old school radio formats that I follow and those stations playlist and requests from the listeners and again

GIVING YOU THE BENEFIT, ALWAYS, and SHE'S ON THE LEFT aren't on those playlists. Like I said before we just gonna have to agree to disagree since you can't come up with any

proof yourself to disprove what I said about those particular songs.

For the record no hate on Pebbles. I think she's aged beautifully but I think she is

trying to slick a can of oil with this whole TLC thing and if she wants to continue to

minister or choose to get back in the game more power to her.

You're proving my point. You listen to a few radio stations in 3 different states and extrapolate that to the thousands of radio stations around the entire country. That's like thinking go-go was a nationwide movement because you heard it on radio stations in the DMV. And your claims that "Girlfriend" and "Mercedes Boy" are the only "instantly recognizable" Pebbles songs by the "average music head" is like a house of cards built on a Jenga game. How many music heads did you have to survey to come up with this average? Do people who post on music forums even qualify as "average music heads"?

I don't need to come up with any proof because I'm not the one making these random blanket claims about a large subset of people you have no way of knowing or verifying. You're taking your own personal experiences, coupling them with bits and pieces from people you know, and then applying that to the rest of us. That just doesn't work.

Thanks for the Shakesperian compliment, BTW. I'm choosing to take it as a compliment at any rate. wink

lol Chilli copied what T-Boz wrote and tweeted it herself as well.

Since you mentioned it, a reality show is apparently in the works. Last week, Ashley Reid was being interviewed and mentioned the Reid family is doing a reality show, but didn't specify how many of them are in it, or what the premise is. Considering how much hate she and her mother have been getting for the last several weeks, I don't see it being a hit lol

Pebbles and her legal team have made some inroads, as they have made VH1 come out and say the TLC movie is not fact, but "a fictionalized portrayal" of how things went down:

Here is Pebbles' second interview, with Marc Lamont Hill on Huffpost Live. In this interview, she blames the bad contracts and money mismanagement on Clive Davis/Arista/BMG and says she was thrown under the bus. She also says T-Boz continues to lie about who wanted Chilli out of TLC, and that Pebbles took 1 for the team because if Chilli found out T-Boz and Left Eye wanted her out for messing around with Dallas Austin, the group would have fallen apart. Pebbles also mentions her "G Code" falloff I died at that-never heard a minister speak about having a damn g code! BTW, apparently Pebbles is the one who decided Toni Braxton would have short hair. She's not boring, that's for sure lol

1) Pebbles is hateful and her daughter is a damn mess. The apple stayed right up against that tree

2) Secondly, I don't know if Pebbles is dumb, foolhardy or secure as hell re having Clive Davis' name in her mouth like that. Does it not occur to her that Clive could sue her for slander, as could LA? Does Pebbles not see how Whitney, her bestie, paid the price for involvement with Clive?

I haven't heard the slang term "G-Code" since Spice 1 and Compton's Most Fback in the '90s. "G-Code" is slang for retailiation and not snitching. That is sland used among criminals. What does that say about Pebbles?

Us? What us? As far as I can see you're the only one here balling hard for Pebbles lol You chose to make my so called blanket claims a bigger deal than I. I'm not making any claims across the board but since a lot of these stations are owned by conglomerates it's not inconceivable that a lot of these playlists are similar. Don't have time at the moment but I will post a typical playlist from one of those stations. What the hell? Are we having a statistics course flashback talking subsets of people and surveys? It's not that deep bruh.

The back-and-forth with these ladies...lol I wish we could just find out exactly what happened. I have a feeling both sides are being truthful about some things and lying about others.
