Don't fret my pet (not to anyone in PARTICULAR), I heard Michael was drinking Peppermint Schnapps with Jackie Wilson, 2Pac and Sam Cooke while Marvin Gaye was holding it down in concert as usual. wink

If MJ had wanted to hide away i think he would have at least devised a way to get away from it all without getting a certain Conrad Murray into heaps of trouble in an ensuing court circus.

^ The DVD will be one of the few Christmas purchases I've already jotted down on getting.

I'm satisfied with BAD 25, but I wish it would have included a DVD with all the music videos and each of their video premier episodes. I know he had them, probably 30 min to an hour for most of them.

When MJ had a new video out, he would usually run a premier on of course the three music networks MTV, BET and VH! and even on FOX a few times. Before the video made it's debut, usualy a 30 minute special leading up to the video would air.

Man his video premieres were like events you had to sit with your family to watch. Please believe when Smooth Criminal and Moonwalker came out, we were all hanging in front of the TV watching with our eyes glued to the sets. Then when it was over, I would try to repeat his moves. That's how dedicated I was to Michael. And I was like four. lol

The first one I remember watching was for "Remember The Time" and yeah, the family was all together watching. lol

I still remember how me and my nephew were glued to the TV at my brother's house (forgot which one) watching "Black or White", "Remember the Time" and "In the Closet"! Great times. nod

Something along the lines of this.

As part of promotion for "Remember the Time", a music video, which was filmed in mid-January 1992, was released.[17] Prior to the release of the video, Jackson's record label promoted it by releasing clips, as well as releasing behind the scenes clips of making the video.[2] The nine minute video was promoted as a "short film".[2] It premiered on MTV, Fox and Black Entertainment Television on February 2, 1992.[18] After the video premiered on MTV, the channel aired a "rockumentary" called "More Dangerous Than Ever" which included glimpses of the making of the video.[2] Jackson's record label would not release the video's budget figures.[2] Directed by John Singleton and choreographed by Fatima Robinson, the video was an elaborate production and became one of Jackson's longest videos at over nine minutes. It was set in ancient Egypt and featured groundbreaking visual effects and appearances by Eddie Murphy, Iman, The Pharcyde, Magic Johnson, Tom "Tiny" Lister, Jr. and Wylie Draper,[2] who portrayed Jackson as an adult in the made for TV movie The Jacksons: An American Dream and died shortly after appearing in this video.

You know what was funny about the world premiere videos is that I kinda knew what was going to happen in the middle of it. I would've questioned the video if he wasn't doing dancing of some sort. Seeing his videos during the Dangerous era at 7 and 8 years old, a video was always expected to feature a dance part. lol

The first premiere I remember seeing was Black or White, being allowed to stay up to watch it. I knew mj from afar for years already though and had a Thriller toy and knew Bad and stuff like that, but I wasn't a dedicated fan yet. I loved the video, but was confused by the end asking my mom about it who said he's crazy. I wanted to watch it again the next day to figure it out, but she turned the tape off! lol lol the song was everywhere for years after that!

I watched the rest of that conrad documentary and got emotional just now....I'm beginning to believe I can't live without the drama, and I hate that about myself. It reminded me of the time I watched Selena's Behnd the Music, and though it's worse, I can't feel it in full though I cried.

Nah..Vision was enough for me, at least for the Bad era music videos...we already got the full version of Bad and TWYMMF on that one

I went to go see MJ's childhood home in Gary IN last week (turns out it's pretty close from where i live)but the memorial was covered lol. Do they only open on certain days like his death anniversary and his birthdays?!??!

Oh I hope the wembley DVD gets released in blu-ray eventually!!!!

i dont think the whole "premier thing" is a bad idea.. but if i were to choose to add something to this set it would probably an additional dvd box set.. Put in Tokyo 87,Wembley 88,Leeds 88,MSG 88,Los Angeles 89.

(im not complaining because i think they did an excelent job with bad 25. i was just saying what i would prefer over the premier videos.)

Don't worry, you're not alone, I just remember black or white and you rock my world....I didn't know the other dangerous ones, and when bad came out, I just knew the song being popular that fall, and I knew scream after the PTL interview, like a day or two after, had no clue about that interview at the time till weeks later without knowing what was talked about. Those were days I just listened to music and had no idea about entertainment news.

I know some people have seen it at some film festivals after Michaels death and that there's a trailer and a page for it but that's all... http://www.jackson5inafrica.com/ It would be very interesting to see it, perhaps with the hype of BAD 25 , they'll release it on DVD?

Unless they're waiting for an anniversary, I doubt they're actively seeking to release this yet but it's interesting that even with all of that, they're not so quick to put it out unless they're waiting for the Jackson family to give them clearance to release it or something.

Why did AfroJack speed it up like that?

To me "Bad" was a synthed out arrangement of a groove like James Brown "The Boss". It's funk, not trance. Christ. confused

I've always considered Bad to be one of Mike's most funk influenced songs.

Bad definetly is his most funk-based album. expecially between the title track, Smooth Criminal, Streetwalker, and (somewhat) Another Part Of Me

I might give that title to Off The Wall, but the Bad album was definitely very funk influenced.
