I think I have an idea. The guy I saw on tv all these years, whose work I listened to, was big on treating people with decency, and being smart enough to think for yourself and go against the crowd no matter what anyone else had to say about it.

I haven't seen either your or your friend, display any of those qualities.

So you might want to ask yourself how well YOU know who Michael is.

That said, different topic: BAD25. Excited for the BAD tour to FINALLY make it on dvd, but kind of eh about the whole release. Not a BAD album fan, not a BAD era fan. I'm mostly Jacksons/OTW/Thriller over here. Dangerous is my favourite album despite all that though! Speaking of which, still sore that OTW30 never got to happen....for obvious reasons.

By the time I am finished with them, they are fans.

I think This Is It went a long way in dispelling some of that as it showed an artist involved in every aspect and also should his musicianship even when not playing an instrument.

I just laugh at people who say this. He is one of the most influential musicians (just because you don't play instruments live doesnt mean you cant and being a composer & arranger makes you a musician) of the past century and personally to me on the top of most influential african-american people. He's in the list with Scott Joplin, Louis Armstrong, James Brown, Billie Holiday, who all changed music (I'm just mentioning some, dont feel like doing a whole list lol). He's vocal style is unique and unheard of, the way he improvises and sings beautiful harmonies is great and he uses his voice as an instrument. He would have been a great jazz singer. His arrangments are beautifully crafted and you can tell his genius.

Why is it weird if people belive Michael is alive? Given all the shady people that he had to deal with throughout his life time- and the all the stories about Tohme, Raffles, etc. etc. that have been making news recently. It would not surprise me one bit, if he faked his death. He also never wanted to do 50 shows and put his body throught that torture.

Why do people think Michael was some sort of pushover and that he couldn't do anything to save himself.
