Great Post!

This goes back to my feelings when Michael passed away and their behavior. I have no fuckin respect for them. NONE. The Jacksons do some messed up shit to each other. I thought it was just Michael. Now I see it isnt. I see why Michael was really close with Randy at one point. I also see why Randy and Janet are close. They prove EVERYTIME that they are show business first and family second.

It seems. I thought him and jermaine were the two who had issues with each other though.

It is easy to draw that conclusion considering their history with a certain woman but interesting enough Jermaine seems to be the one brother who occasionally has taken sides with Randy on things. Maybe I am reading too much into this but I get a feeling that Randy does not like the way Jackie, Tito, Marlon (and sometimes Jermaine) has handled things past MJ's death.

Regarding the Jacksons Dynasty show:

randyjackson8 Randy Jackson

Underneath all the excitement & pandemonium, a murder hasn’t been solved. This family will not forget that, because I won’t let them.

randyjackson8 Randy Jackson

Not only am i a private person but it was too soon for me after losing my brother to be on a reality show. i hope you all understand.

Regarding doing interviews and money

"...Who cares about the money? We have enough money. If I cared about the money, I'd be doing a reality show and doing interviews."

Regarding the Cardiff tribute:

"Today's press conference in Los Angeles announced a tribute concert to Michael to be attended and supported by the Jackson Family. However, we want to make clear that this does not reflect the position of the entire family.

While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death. As everyone knows, those proceedings commence September 20th, and this "Michael Forever" concert takes place in Cardiff, Wales, on October 8th. In light of this, we feel it is inappropriate to be involved with such an ill-timed event and its promoter, Global Live.

Furthermore, the decision to proceed with this concert disrespects opinions and wishes expressed in the strongest terms to Global Live during conversations in April when this event was presented to the majority of the family as an idea already in its advanced stages.

There will come a time and place for an amazing and deserving tribute to Michael. But we feel that the most important tribute we can give to our brother at this time is to seek justice in his name.

JERMAINE JACKSON & RANDY JACKSON"

About the family dynamics

randyjackson8 Randy Jackson

i will continue to do my best with my family. all i need is your love and support. i will never give up

randyjackson8 Randy Jackson

I see what you see and I dont agree with many of their choices but they are my family and i do love them.

Issues with the estate

Jackie is working close with the estate. Marlon has also been involved. Tito and Jermaine seems to be neutral and Randy seems to be oppisng a lot of their decisions.

I'd say that Jermaine is the most important brother in order to make this reunion work since he is the best leadsinger among them now that Michael is gone and also a good bassplayer. I think they can pull this off and make it work even though neither Michael or Randy will be there. It will not be the same without Michael but as long as Jermaine does what he does best, ie plays bass and sing in his own way (and not try to be Mike) it will be all good. It will not be as exciting but that doesn't mean it will be a fiasco. Randy will be missed and the show will not be as complete without him. It's just one of those unfortunate things that not all living members will take part of this reunion but the show will not fail because he isn't there.

I do have to say that I think the timing is OK now for a reuinon though. They have to make money and I can understand why they didn't do it without Michael when Michael still was alive but since he isn't here anylonger just do it already before you are too old. Jackie is over 60 so it is now or never.

Once again, if Randy planned on participating, the criticism wouldnt be as much and just be on Michael not being there but now that Randy isnt in it, it brings up alot of other controversies.

Well, I realize... you have no life and think every celebrities life is your business. Well, it is not. Randy, for reasons that are only his business (and be reading his tweets not really that hard to figure out), decides to not take part in this reunion and the Jacksons don't have to explain any supposed hidden meaning in their statements to you. I'm sure they gave their statement much less thought than any person in here, who thinks it's their business to know what celebrities are doing with their lives. And yes, Michael's dead, so it doesn't make much sense to call themselves Jackson 5, maybe that's why they went with Jacksons, when in reality they view it as a Jackson 5 reunion of all the remaining brothers. Really, it's not that serious. It will happen regardless of what you think, they will make their statements regardless of what you think. But I realize, all you are about is to nitpick, bitch and moan and thinking you know it all.

Your doing the same thing by assuming they name the tour the Jacksons instead of Jackson 5. This is not rocket science. The brothers have made statements about the tour implying that all the brothers are going to be in the reunion without no explanation as to why Randy couldnt be in it.

Why? There's a certain MOD on here that ALWAYS likes to put every thing in the MJ sticky no matter how faintly related to him it is.

It's ridiculous. I'm tired of it.

The Jacksons going on tour should NOT be relegated to the MJ sticky. They are their own people and their own artists and as you said, there are people who like the other brothers and don't care for MJ and don't want to post in the sticky.

There's no reason whatsoever for news/discussion about The Jackson brothers new tour to get lumped into the MJ sticky. It really has nothing to do with Michael.

Am I the one who's inventing and making up all kinds of deeperlying issues in Randy's apparant refusal to take part in this tour, being negative and assuming the worst (you lot do the same thing everyone always did with Michael)? I think it's great that they are finally doing that tour, but all of you only bitch and moan and assume things, with nothing really to go on.

Anyway, this is pointless. I'm out. Get back to me, when there is more concrete news on this tour (or indication of drama) or when it has actually started. I'm looking forward to it and hope they don't embarrass themselves.

Won't someone please put a muzzle in La Toya's mouth? zipped

She claimed during her guest appearance on "The Talk" that her brothers had done so well during the Cardiff tribute ( rolleyes ) that "they didn't even miss Michael or Jermaine".

And I was like "ho, they had to have other singers fronting them". They only did one song with one of them leading (Jackie) in "Shake Your Body".

How is she so sure this tour will be good that folks "won't miss Michael"? Sorry but her comments reeked of ignorance.

If they were so good, why did they keep begging Michael to tour with them for 20 years? Cut the fucking crap. bored2

eek I want to like Latoya. I really do. But its her antics and quotes like this one that make it very difficult for me to like her. All she can do is ride on her family's coattails, going from talkshow to talkshow talking about her family. Ugh. SMH.

The Jacksons Reunion Tour Set To Hit Houston July 14

http://blogs.houstonpress...uly_14.php

Since their brother Michael passed away in June 2009, there has been persistent talk of a full-scale Jacksons tour, with the surviving Jackson brothers on board performing their collective hits and the hits of brother Jermaine.

Today the iconic sibling group -- Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito Jackson -- announced a full-scale national tour, with a Houston date July 14 at Bayou Music Center, formerly Verizon Wireless Theater.

Armed with their bedrock Jackson 5 hits, Jacksons work, and Jermaine Jackson's hit solo cuts, the group's "Unity Tour" marks their first tour in nearly three decades. That last tour in support of 1984's Victory album was a highly successful outing, with the group playing in front of more than 2.5 million screaming fans.

The Victory tour and the Jacksons stopped at the Astrodome for two days on November 9 and 10, 1984. The group's entire Dallas set from that tour is here on YouTube.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 6, at the usual outlets: livenation.com, "most" Houston-area Randall's stores, 1-866-4HOUTIX (446-8849) and the Bayou Music Center Box Office.

The Jacksons

The remaining members of the Jackson 5 are returning to the stage this summer. Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito announced a string of U.S. dates on Wednesday, which they’re calling the Unity Tour 2012. This will mark their first trek together since they hit the road in support of their “Victory” album back in 1984.

According to the press release, the concerts will showcase the group’s classics like “I Want You Back” and “ABC,” in addition to honoring their late brother Michael. Jermaine Jackson says in a statement he’s happy and excited to be performing with his brothers again, adding that they’re all ready and committed to keep the Jackson family’s legacy alive.

Arguably the most legendary family in music history, the Jacksons have announced plans to hit the road for a 2012 tour. Beginning June 18, 2012, and scheduled through July 29, 2012, Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito Jackson will remember their brother, Michael, on their Unity tour, marking the first time they’ve toured together since their Victory Tour in 1984.

“This is a dream coming true. I can’t believe this is finally happening. There’s nothing like having all the brothers on stage at the same time. This will be exciting for our fans around the world– and I know at each concert, MJ’s spirit will be in the house with us,” said Jackie in a press release.

Jermaine Jackson added, “I am so happy and excited to perform again onstage with my brothers. I can’t wait to sing all the songs that were so much a part of all of our lives. We are ready and committed to keep the family’s legacy alive and perform once again with the highest level of excellence, creativity, and most of all, integrity.”

They need to pay the bills, Betty White is still very active and is 90.

People receiving Social Security checks and other retirement income pay bills too. lol The Jacksons' lifestyle doesn't make them any different in my eyes.

And Betty White is a very rare type of actress who parodies her old age. I give her an exception. She can continue. lol

I wasn't serious. But what do you think of the dude? Seems like he has some potential but he's really green and all over the place vocally and dancing-wise. He certainly has the looks--but that ain't enough! lol

In any case, this time at least they want to earn money by their own labor, not the death of their brother rolleyes .... I wish them luck, although I do not believe that the tour will be successful.
Michael for the Jackson 5 was even more than Klaus Meine for Scorpions, or Freddie Mercury for Queen ... it was an absolute dominance

They should begin with Can you feel it.

Some of the songs from their catalogue that can't be ignored: Shake your body, This place Hotel, Lovely one, Dancing Machine, I'll be there, I want you back, Blame it on the boogie, Never can say goodbye.

Jermaine will probably do Let's get serious. But their are a lot of other songs he could pick like You like me don't you, Daddy's Home, Don't take it personal, Words into action, Castle of sand, Do What you do, You're in Good Hands, I Found that girl, Touch of Madness, You need to be loved, I'm just too shy, I like your style. Or maybe a song like Let's be young tonight so that he can showcase some of his bass skills

If they will perform a MJ solo song I'd prefer them to pick a song like WBSS before the obvious Billy Jean or Beat it. Or better yet, pick a more obscure song like Can't Help it or Lady in my life.
