Nah lol

You think with Clive's money they would give her one. lol

A spokesperson for the Hollywood Chamber said recently that a star was ordered some time ago for Whitney, but she and her reps never bothered to discuss arrangements for the ceremony.

Whitney Houston To Be Buried Next to Her Dad

Whitney Houston will be laid to rest in the plot right next to her fathers grave at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey
Whitney Houston will be laid to rest in the plot right next to her father's grave at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey ... multiple Houston family sources tell TMZ.

According to Whitney's official death certificate, Houston will be buried Saturday at Fairview ... and sources tell TMZ, the decision was made because Whitney WANTED to be laid to rest next to her dad.

Whitney's father, John Russell Houston Jr., died in 2003 ... and as you can see from the above photo there is plenty of space next to his plot for Whitney's tombstone.

John Legend Remembers Whitney Houston

John Legend Remembers Whitney Houston

Feb 15, 2012

I first heard Whitney as a young child on her debut album. I knew "Saving All My Love" and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." I knew as a kid who loved music and particularly loved singing that she was one of the best singers I knew of at the time. Her voice was so pure and powerful. She had so much control and range and expressive ability. She was amazing.

I was so sad when I heard she passed. I was sad for her family. I was sad for Clive [Davis], because I know he took so much pride in his efforts to help her come back. And I was sad for the fans and the music community because we really lost one of the greatest singers we'll ever hear. She was that good.

I've had family members go through problems with addiction and struggle to come back. You always hope they will pull through and come out healthy on the other side. In the past couple years, we got the sense that Whitney was doing better and may be able to return to good health and success. It's so tragic that it had to end this way. But the beautiful thing about music is it never dies. We'll always have Whitney because we'll always have her beautiful music.

Whitney was up for one in 1995, but none of her handlers got back with the board that does such ceremonies. Now her family will have to petition for another shot.

Whitney Houston's Last Recording Session | Whitney Houston

Inside Whitney's Last Recording Session

February 15, 2012

Arriving at Mason Sound recording studio in North Hollywood on the evening of Feb. 7, Whitney Houston was all smiles and feeling "really positive," producer Harvey Mason Jr. tells PEOPLE.

"We stood around and joked, listened to music, and we got her this throat coat tea she likes," says Mason, who worked with the singer on her last recording of the up-tempo record "Celebrate," a duet with Jordin Sparks for the soundtrack of the upcoming film Sparkle.

"Then she got in the booth, started her vocal session with a prayer as she always did, and worked for about three to four hours. We ended the session dancing around the control room while she said 'Turn it up! Turn it up!' She was so fun-loving."

Houston, who died on Feb. 11 at age 48, and Sparks, 22, didn't record the duet together. But Houston – who'd recorded the song over a few sessions in the past couple of weeks – "wanted to make sure Jordin had enough time to shine on the song," says Mason. "She loved all of the female singers coming up."

Mason adds that in the studio Houston gave a great performance. "She said 'Don't make anything less than perfect.'"

Asked if Houston could have been putting too much pressure on herself during her final days, Mason says, "She was excited, not overworked. I've been around her when she is overworked. She comes into the studio and is kind of down and quiet and just wants to get in and out. This was not like that. Whitney was worried about her fans, but there was no undue pressure."

In fact Houston was bursting with optimism. "She talked about Sparkle,Waiting to Exhale and working on her new solo record," says Mason. "And she was excited for Clive [Davis's] party."

It is yet to be determined if Mason will release "Celebrate" because Houston had another session before the song would be finalized. But he assures, "she sounded really good."

'Glee': Watch Amber Riley Cover Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You' (Video)

In a strange twist of fate, the Fox series had planned to feature the Dolly Parton song in Tuesday's Valentine's Day episode.

Supposedly they filmed this before Whitney's death.

They definitely filmed it before her death. Members of the cast were mentioning it on Twitter Saturday.

I loved it. Of course, I'm one of the few on here who enjoys Glee in general.

The bottle of champagne etc was in the hotel room, not the bathroom. She had another tray in the bathroom that didn't show any glasses. Don't know if she was drinking in the bathroom also.

Why would someone call the doctor to evaluate a potentially dangerous situation? You are assuming someone observed her drinking and taking pills and would see behavior that would warrant medical intervention.

Do you know how many people mix pills and alcohol to go out?!

That isn't enough to have triggered such a response.

So who would have been fearful?

I'm all for giving somebody the benefit of the doubt. But Whitney's death looks highly suspicious to me.

And even if she did die from something else that doesn't necessarily mean taking prescription drugs and drinking is safe.

As I've said, I've had personal experience with blacking out in the shower after taking cold medication in the prescribed dosage, no alcohol involved at all.

Oh... btw, the pics I saw the beer and champagne were in the bathroom with her? And even if they weren't, I'm telling you if she had been drinking, taking prescription drugs, and then decided to take a hot bath, that's a perfect storm for disaster.

So again, you and I will just have to agree to disagree.

[Edited 2/15/12 7:54am]

?

The only thing we disagree on is where the champagne glass was - in the main room of the suite or in the bathroom ahd whether her death was suspicious.

I don't think her death was suspicious, but like 9/11 people aren't willing to believe their own experiences so . . .

Dude, I didn't say anything about the police showing up. I said IF I felt my friend was in trouble due to her own demons, the police might be able to advise me what to do or who to call.

In my opinion, it's better than doing nothing at all.

So again, we're going to have to agree to disagree.

If your friends listen to you great.

But you can't want it for someone more than they want it for themselves.

How would you prevent a friend from drinking?

Could you?

What about people who aren't your friends, who are inebriated? Are they on their own?

Do you try to intervene with them also?

my question to you is: don't you wonder why there is no information or pictures or witness statements of to the where abouts or activities surrounding Whitney Houston on the Friday (Feb 10) prior to her death. (and no i do not think she was dead prior to the saturday of her death.)

it's so weird. even the timeline covering the events prior to her death start on the 9th, omit the 10th and resume on the 11th. i know there are no absolutes to the story at this time, but darn it, what's up with the 10th and no info?

eek

Well Whitney's not new to L.A. She could have been kicking it at someone's house and returned to the hotel later.

L.A. isn't all that star struck either.

If someone saw her say shopping on the 10th, why does that rate an Entertainment Tonight feature?

The usual and normal rarely ever make news. The news is about the unusual.

Thursday night if she hadn't been partying so hard that someone could salvage a headline out if it we never would have heard about Thursday night.

There is no criminal investigation into her death. There is no dispute about the time of death.

If there was a dispute about the time of death that would have meant more than toxicology reports were needed.

IF her body were placed in the tub after her death, the coroner could determine that also. That would lead to a criminal investigation.

The toxicology report is to determine if alcohol or drugs are a cause or contributing factor. That is all they are waiting to determine.

Foul play has definitively been ruled out.

Again I never said she was murder but I am not ruling out anything.

And also I dont trust LAPD nor coroner reports for being but I give you props of trusting corrupt as LAPD. You continue to believe everything the police is telling the public while I am going to continue to think for myself .

Alrighty then . . . .

Cling to your conspiracy theories and reject all facts.

So let me get this straight - You don't trust anything anyone from the L.A. P.D. or coroner's office says about anything because they are all lies?

How are you going to determine the facts of the case since you can't do your own investigation of the body or the room, nor interview those who were with her?

Make it up I guess?

A source close to the situation tells Kevin that the pop icon was found slumped over the side of the bathtub with her head face down submerged in the water, but with her legs still outside of the bathtub. Multiple reports until now have indicated that Whitney was found underwater when she was discovered on Saturday.

The source added that people who spent time with Whitney in the hours preceding her death said it did not appear the superstar was under the influence.

Attempts to revive the 48-year-old singer were not successful at the Beverly Hills Hilton, where she was found hours before she was to appear at producer Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy Awards party.

An autopsy was conducted on Sunday, but no cause of death has been determined pending the results of toxicology reports that are expected to take several weeks. Authorities have said there were no indications of foul play and no obvious signs of trauma when they examined Houston's body.

Even if she had run her bath water, and there was steam... if it was hot in there, that might have been enough to cause a sudden drop in blood pressure.

In fact, even sitting down or standing up, too fast can cause a sudden drop on blood pressure.

Even if she were on prescribed medication and had been drinking, this could have caused cardiac problems, too.

And even if she had been drinking in excess all that week, but not on that day, this could have cause some cardio-vascular problems.

All I know for sure is alcohol is a depressant. Valium is depressant. Xanax is a depressant. All of those can lower your blood pressure. But then to compensate, your heart starts racing. Then heat exposure can lower your blood pressure, too.

As a matter of fact, excessive alcohol consumption can contribute to heart and blood pressure problems, too. Your blood pressure can lower initially, but then eventually elevate to where you can have high blood pressure.

It is dangerous to even drink alcohol and take decongestants. So... that's all I know.

If Whitney had died while a passenger in somebody else's car, for sure there would be no indication that her drug and alcohol problems contributed to her death.

But that still doesn't mean she wasn't playing with fire if she was drinking and taking prescription drugs. It just hadn't caught up with her.

And by all accounts, she didn't slip and hit her head in the bathroom. So as far as I'm concerned, the situation was dangerous.

Agreed.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

With all due respect, Whitney was a grown ass woman who was very well aware of her demons and who was good for her and who wasn't. She knew who would stop her from doing drugs and who wouldn't. As much as we would like to cast doubt on someone else, an addict cannot be stopped until the addict wants to stop. That is if indeed her death is illegal drug related. She very well may have been prescribed those drugs legally and without malice and chose upon her self to take them in a way not prescribed. EVERYONE knows you should not take sedatives with alcohol. This is nothing new. Again, if it is drug related. It could be a case that all the damage she previously did to her body came back on her.

We the public do not know her private life or her private demons. We want to believe the "America's Sweetheart" persona created, but that may or not be the truth of who she was. We just don't know. We want to believe that all of this is someone's fault other than Whitney's, but in the end, it may be no one's fault but Whitney's.

Well, I just don't know why she would need xanax and valium, and according to reports, those were in her possession. I don't they found any illegal drugs?

I just feel like... she spent multiple times in rehab. It's not like she NEVER went to rehab. There had to be a doctor, a counselor.. a professional to call when she started drinking again at least, much less anything else.

From what I read, she was in an out-patient program? Doesn't that mean she and her family had access to a counselor at least?

And apparently, as some of the conversation has indicated, a lot of people don't know what some of the drugs mixed with alcohol can do to your system. The don't really understand the danger even though there might be label warnings or even verbal warnings from a doctor.

Honestly, I just think people basically says.. "She's a grown ass woman..." and don't even try to intervene--not that intervening will necessarily save anyone. But at least a person has to dry.

But this comes from an intervener in a variety of situations. It's just the way I am.

As I said, if I had a friend in a similar situation as Whitney's you had better believe, I try even if I couldn't talk to her directly because she'd probably be...beligerant. I'd figure out a way to try to do something.

[Edited 2/15/12 8:39am]

What would you do to intervene with someone you couldn't talk to or was belligerent?

Knock drinks out of their hand all night?

You can't want it for them more than they want it for themselves.

Remember that. It will save you a lot of grief and guilt.

Some ya'll just getting crazy. eek

Nah, I ain't getting crazy. Like I said, I'm not even a "fan," per se. It's just by all accounts, I dunno. I just feel like her death could have been prevented at this time--or maybe not? I just haven't heard any stories about people trying to intervene. And I guess, given my personality, that mystifies me. It's just sad..

Why would you hear about any interventions?

Any intervention was obviously a failure. Who wants to yell they tried and failed only to be blamed for not trying hard enough or doing more?

I'm growing tired of Dr. Drew's preaching about drug addicts and how Whitney shouldn't have been partying with friends and how detrimental it was to her health to be out with Kelly Price two nights earlier and having champagne. He flat out called Kelly Price "ignorant" when he appeared on Piers Morgan's show yet again.

Unless he actually diagnosed and treated her then he can't speak about her health and her degree of addiction. We still don't know the actual cause of death and for him to speak as if he knows factually what drugs she may have taken and in what amounts and whether they were mixed with alchohol then he needs to shut his ass up and wait for the toxicoloy report like everyone else.

Also sick of these so called friends saying "she did what she wanted to do". Well duh! Most human beings function in that way but still, if you see someone in peril you should not be afraid nor discouraged to reach out and help. There is such a thing as tough love.

HotGritz - you do what you wanna do and believe what you want to believe even when I attempt my fact interventions. wink

How would someone have determined Whitney was in peril?

She didn't die at 3 or 4 a.m. after partying and obviously needed some assistance and possibly medical care.

What would tough love have done? Demanded she couldn't be in the bathroom by herself?

Not let her drink at all? How would stop her?

It's not like she can't have someone get her what she wants or take her to it.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.
