Here it is, the site is back

Global Live Events' president Chris Hunt said in relation to the stadium's sliding roof capability:

"It will not be less than four hours long and, rather than looking like a massive outdoor festival, we can create an intimate atmosphere that Michael would be proud to perform in.

"We wanted to do something decent and worthy of Michael's musical genius yet something fun and authentic that you would envision Michael attending with excitement and joy, surrounded by talent that he respected and loved."

Whatta jerk mad Thanks carinemjj.

This is the message now posted on the Michael Forever Tribute website:

The organisers of the Michael Forever Tribute Concert are very mindful of the expectations of the fans, who have waited over two years for an event that will do justice to Michael’s musical legacy. Some of the greatest names in music are already signed, and more are trying to shuffle other commitments to come on board.

Chairman of Global Live Events Chris Hunt said “We will be announcing an incredible line-up very soon. The registration period was put on hold because we want people to know who they are registering to see. Between now and October we will be continuing to add names to the line-up so more announcements will follow. Fans of Michael’s music will get the concert they’ve been waiting for.”

Michael Jackson tribute concert organisers fail to announce acts

Confusion continues to surround the Michael Jackson tribute concert today as the line-up announcement was once again delayed.

Promoter Global Live Events had said it would be revealing some of the top headline acts who are set to play the Cardiff-based concert yesterday, but no announcement was ever made.

The acts for Michael Forever – The Tribute Concert were originally meant to be revealed to fans on Wednesday night at a press conference in London, but was cancelled at the last minute.

Registration for tickets on the official concert website was also due to start last night, but today it only has the message: “Please standby for further announcements.”

At 1pm this afternoon, two new statements were posted on the concert’s Facebook page.

The statements read: “The organisers of the Michael Forever Tribute Concert are very mindful of the expectations of the fans, who have waited over two years for an event that will do justice to Michael’s musical legacy. Some of the greatest names in music are already signed, and more are trying to shuffle other commitments to come on board.”

Chairman of Global Live Events Chris Hunt added: “We will be announcing an incredible line-up very soon. The registration period was put on hold because we want people to know who they are registering to see. Between now and October we will be continuing to add names to the line-up so more announcements will follow. Fans of Michael’s music will get the concert they’ve been waiting for.”

Numerous attempts by the Echo yesterday to contact Franklin Rae Communications, which is handling public relations for the show, were unsuccessful.

The complicated ticketing system has been criticised by fans as it involves making a donation to charity, with those making the highest pledges receiving the most expensive tickets.

Jackson fan Mark Evans, from Aberdare, said he was concerned about both the line-up and the ticket registration scheme.

The 49-year-old IT trainer, who has been a fan of Jackson for most of his life, said: “I am really undecided about whether to register because of the palaver with the charity donation, which I am not at all happy about.

“How much do you have to pledge to not be up in the roof? I am a bit concerned about it.

“The line-up also comes into play with how much you will pay for a ticket. Before I buy a ticket I would really rather know who is going to be playing and what to expect.”

So what we got now...:

- A first press conference where they announce where and when the show is gonna be, but no artists announcement.

- Fans being really angry about this stupid discriminatory ticketing stuff where only the richest ones have a chance to get a ticket, still they'll only know couple of days before the show if they got one.. meaning they can't plan their trip (plane/hotel) in advance (haven't they learned anything from their Victory Tour fail?, except this time MJ's not there to stop the stupidness)

- Fans making searches about this Global Live company nobody heard of, to find out it has been created in March 2011 and has had 2-3 names before, always related to a MJ tribute, which always failed, not to mention Jermaine said they started to talk with the family around April telling them they did already have that GALAXY OF INTERNATIONAL STARS....lol

- The promoter of the show, Gloval Live, who is paid to do PR and informations, when asked about the ticketing system and other stuff, says, we are not entitled to answer that... Hum... what'r you paid for then?

- Global Live giving a 100 000$ check for a 'trust fund' for MJ's kids to Katherine during the press conference, when they are already gonna inherit MJ's billions (while there's a famine in Somalia...), how lame to use the kids again this way... disgusting.

- They announce a second press conference for last Wednesday where they are suppose to say who the artists performing will be... yet none of the Jackson seems to be going to London for this conference.. Latoya tweets goodnight at 5am from her home, and Jackie tweets a pic of him in his pool... not looking like they plan to go anywhere... Of course the press conference never happened and was 'postponed'.

- After the 2nd press conference fail, they still say they'll announce the artists the day after. They didn't, saying they have to wait until the NEW HEADLINE ACT is signed.

- After realizing that the fans are totally against this tribute, they release a statement trying to reach another part of MJ Fans, the believers... saying ''this is a show Michael would love to perform in'' and a show ''you would imagine Michael attending'' ... How low can they go..; worst thing is: it works, the naive and clues needing believers blindly jump on that boat and are now convinced Michael's gonna come back during that show.... jesus christmas...

- Global Live and The Jacksons says that all profits will go to charities, yet Jermaine says on twitter that he was offered good money to participate, but he refused, saying it's not about money but about bad timing (Murray's trial).

- Jermaine and Randy agreeing on something? O_O lol

- The event's facebook page being administered by someone who deletes fans's posts when they ask questions or make comments that they don't like, yet the admin says ''I'm not deleting anything''... yeah right, the fans's print screens says they clearly do.

- A new Facebook groupe called Fans Against Michael Forever Tribute is on. People who got banned from the event's Facebook pages joins, and the group gets bigger.

- The event's website's countdown suddendly stopping and changing to a ''wait for further notice'' without any other explanation, still the Jacksons aren't tweeting about the show, like if it never existed...

- We then, today get a message from the event's facebook page saying they stopped the cuntdown because they want fans to know who they are gonna pay for. In the same statement, they also say that many GREAT ARTISTS already signed... yet they'll announce the artists soon, uhntil October O_o ... Just means they have no one and thought the artists would run to them after the 1st press conference, they just don't get that it works the other way around, you get your acts, then you announce a show.

- Still no news from any of the Jacksons about the show, total silence (add cricket sounds)..

Have I missed something?

Not that I can think of, you've summed it all perfectly Carinemjj! thumbs up! Man, talk about a drama-filled fiasco disbelief This whole thing is just too weird and strange for words. Very interesting that none of the Jacksons who attended the 1st PC arent tweeting any info about this concert now. Makes me wonder if there might be more things going on behind the scenes that we dont know about.

I DID forget some things actually

- After the 1st press conference: The Estate released a statement saying they are not in any way related to this tribute and have never gave their ok for it.

- Jermaine and Randy Jackson tweeted after the 1st press conference that both of them were not ok with the tribute because it was during the Murray trial and they don't hink the timing is good. When Jermaine was asked about the fact that his book about Michael is also released a bit before the trial, he said that he'd stop the promotion when the trial starts.

- Global Live... their adress, when you search in google actually show they'd be located in a little building in Bristol, where there is actually a bar.... how classy. wink

So... now that they decided that people don't HAVE to give to the charities in order to get a ticket, this is no more a charity concert, because STILL no money from the ticket is going to the charities (except for the Jacksons pockets charity)...

They really didn't get anything did they?...

And this is why I refuse to support this. It was clear what their motive was all along to get money, raping off the man who literally helped them out of the Gary, IN ghettos (sure give credit to Joe and Motown too but still).

And they still think we see nothing of that because we are ''blind'' fans willing to have whatever has MJ's name on it... so out of reality...

It was already clear that they wanted to do that for money, now it's just plain transparent:

Instead of cutting in their own profit, they cut the charity part of the concert.
