Bjork on Michael

Connections to: Michael Jackson

During some live versions of 'I go Humble' Björk adds a Michael Jackson lyric at the end - "got to be starting something"

It is rumored that the song Alarm Call was inspired by Michael Jackson, which would make sense since the working title was 'Jacko'.

At the 2000 Golden Globe awards, Björk wore a dress with Michael Jackson's face - all in sequins! Why did she wear such a thing? "Because he's the king!"
She also has been seen wearing another skirt like this, but in different colors.

In 2003, Björk did an In Camera interview at showstudio. One of the questions came from the King of pop himself!

Michael Jackson, Santa Barbara, California : I have always loved and admired your creativity. Nature's struggle to survive alongside mankind has been an inspiration for me: given the natural beauty of your Icelandic homeland, how does nature inspire your work?

Björk : I hope this doesn't sound too naff, but being alone in nature, especially after walking for hours, just puts you in your place and you realise how small you are and how plenty of everything is all around you. Then you just let go and surrender, become part of it. I'm so chuffed you asked me a question! I have to say you're the best, keep fighting and it angers me how cruel everybody is to you. It's like in the US right now, it's illegal to be an eccentric. Maybe people would have been more understanding if you were a contemporary of Ludwig II of Bavaria, who comissioned Wagner and lived with the swans. I listen to Butterflies off your last album all the time. You are a true artist! Thanks for fighting and believing in magic even though the rest of the world have forgotten about it.

I personally think it's tight. Just the way the picture's taken and him wearing the hat. That's what made it cool to me.

French article was very interesting (first part)- didnt have time to read it all- but the photographer did say that no one ever contest once Michael says he wants something. It was funny when he suggested he cut his hair to his handlers- and they said "how dare you"- and he told them "tell Michael his fake hair is ugly". After that Michael agreed to wear a short do... Oh and Sony was a trip- so was Michaels's camp.....like we didnt know that already

LOVE HARD.

"Mr. Eminem" as Michael called him.... lol I doubt that white trash rapper's songs will be worth much in 20 years, but I LOOOOOOOOVE the fact that Michael owns that fool's songs. Serves him right. After MJ pioneered a field for this loser to even have half a chance, then he turns around and pokes fun of him when he is down, to further humiliate him. You know good and well Sneddon and Nancy Grace bobbed their heads to that 2005 garbage song and video of his.

MICHAEL LITERALLY OWNS EMINEM. HAHAHAHAHA. razz

truth be told tho, Em could probably care less cause it's not like he has 2 continue 2 do these songs but it's all good Em still my boy and MJ but i do have a little sore spot about him owning Sly's work but that's just me

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I remember hearing that he and Sly were gonna get together to discuss the terms of him owning Sly's catalog but they never got the chance. he bought Sly's catalog back in 1983 and kept it part of Mijac publishing, and has refused to sell it to anyone else

Actually, Mike may have been wearing too much make-up, but somehow it never made him look feminine to me. Either weird or cool, but never feminine. I don´t know why some people say he looked like a woman. To me, he´s style is very masculine and that make-up makes it artistic, but not feminine. The way Mike posed, walked etc. always made him masculine. He´s very hot, stylish in these pictures. I love them. I also can´t wait to get that book. I am definately buying it. There should be hudreds of new photos, right? Well, if all of them are gonna be totally new photoshoots, it´s gonna be really cool.

When Eminem gets older and the hits start becoming far and few in between, he will start to give a shit about who own's the publishing rights to his songs, especially with the way the industry is going now a days.

Copyrights is the new oil.

Michael Jackson: King of music industry owns Eminem's hits

Michael Jackson continues to dominate today’s music industry from beyond.

In 2007, Michael Jackson bought a stake in Eminem‘s back catalogue.

Jackson, who also currently owns The Beatles copyright, also bought Famous Music LLC from Viacom.

As well as owning Eminem’s ‘Without Me’ and ‘The Real Slim Shady’, Jackson additionally owns the rights to songs by Shakira, Beck, Bjork, and many others.

Jackson said once in a statement, “This is a milestone event for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The diverse collection of songs in this catalogue range from timeless classics to contemporary hits, and I am pleased to add the acquisition of Famous Music to Sony/ATV.”

The King may have died, but his music industry empire will live on forever
