Its been a year and for me, one of the most difficult things to get over. For someone to have been blessed with so much God given talent, charisma, and love was a once in a generation kind of deal.

I would trade ALL of the album sales of the past year and "adoration" just to have him back.

MJ,

I moonwalked to Billie Jean....jammed to Smooth Criminal...cried to Gone Too Soon...and felt your pain in Stranger in Moscow.....

Thanks for all of the happiest childhood memories for my brothers and I. As four young boys growing up in Miami, FL, we watched your every move and danced to all the music of you and your talented family as well.

You are truly missed and my life was richer for you having been part of it.....

We Had Him by Maya Angelou

Beloveds, now we know that we know nothing, now that our bright and shining star can slip away from our fingertips like a puff of summer wind.

Without notice, our dear love can escape our doting embrace. Sing our songs among the stars and walk our dances across the face of the moon.

In the instant that Michael is gone, we know nothing. No clocks can tell time. No oceans can rush our tides with the abrupt absence of our treasure.

Though we are many, each of us is achingly alone, piercingly alone.

Only when we confess our confusion can we remember that he was a gift to us and we did have him.

He came to us from the creator, trailing creativity in abundance.

Despite the anguish, his life was sheathed in mother love, family love, and survived and did more than that.

He thrived with passion and compassion, humor and style. We had him whether we know who he was or did not know, he was ours and we were his.

We had him, beautiful, delighting our eyes.

His hat, aslant over his brow, and took a pose on his toes for all of us.

And we laughed and stomped our feet for him.

We were enchanted with his passion because he held nothing. He gave us all he had been given.

Today in Tokyo, beneath the Eiffel Tower, in Ghana's Black Star Square.

In Johannesburg and Pittsburgh, in Birmingham, Alabama, and Birmingham, England

We are missing Michael.

But we do know we had him, and we are the world.

Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

Watching Jermaine on Larry King now, and realizing how incredibly annoying he can be. But yet, there's something that just does not allow me to totally discount him. I just think that whole family is "scarred" in one way or another. The only ones who don't seem "scarred" are the ones who do little or no talking to the media ie. Rebi, Tito and Janet.

Jermaine's family obviously felt that Michael should be burried where he is at Forrest Lawn. Yet Jermaine still keeps going to the court of "public opinion" to plea his case for Michael's remains to be burried at Neverland. I mean what is this guy's true agenda? Take that conversation to your mother or to the executives of his estate...not to Larry King each time you talk to him. What can Larry do about it?

Given everything horrible that Michael was accused of at Neverland, perhaps his family felt that it was some sort of Omen, and that it best that his body be burriend at a real cemetary. Heck if he feels so strongly about it, erect some sort of a nice Monument of Michael at Neverland. It's a STATE LAW that bodies are to be burried at cemetaries. Sometimes I wanna smack Jermaine two times fast.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

Michael didn't even want to return there. After the raid in 2003, he felt that it wasn't a home anymore

You can see part of the raid in "The Untold Story of Neverland" but you don't see the parts where they smashed objects, tore things apart, turned things over..... alot of Michael's posessions were taken and never given back

It is hard to believe that it's been a year since the passing of King of Pop Michael Jackson. To me, it's still surreal. Like many other fans as myself, it is still hard to accept. Listening to his music. Hearing his angelic voice. Watching his gravity defying dance moves brings me joy yet deep sadness at the same time. A bright star. An enigma. An icon taken away too soon. There isn't a person alive who hasn't been touched by Michael Jackson, from his millions of fans to new school artists like Usher, Justin Timberlake, Neyo, Beyonce, to his own superstar sister Janet Jackson. Throughout all his influence within the entertainment industry, I'd like to share what Michael Jackson meant to me. From a little child, Michael Jackson has been a major part of my life from watching him on Soul Train, to the Jackson 5 Christmas album that my grandparents would play every year, As I got older, and his career progressed into Off The Wall and Thriller, I became obsessed (as the rest of the world). I studied and mastered his dance moves and style to a point of winning a talent show in high school impersonating him. I remember the choreography and excercise to his videos to this day. I was fortunate to see him live three time on his last major US tour supporting the Bad cd. I remember my grandfather bringing me and my best friend food and soda as we slept outside Madison Square Garden (NYC) for tickets to his concert. Seeing Michael live was an experience I will never forget. His affect on his audience was unreal. I witnessed fans being carried out on stretchers from over excitement. I even dressed like him, from hair style to outfit when attending his shows. I credit Michael Jackson for helping me realize that you can be an individual, different, against the norm yet still be a success. His music touched the world, It made us dance, yet always had a message of peace and love for each other and our planet. Michael Jackson was the greatest entertainer, a true showman, yet never turned his back on his fans or his concerns for our world and the man made destruction of it. He made us look at ourselves if we wanted change. Many try, but we will NEVER witness the enigma that is Michael Jackson in our lifetimes. It is well known that Michael faced many issues in his life from extreme plastic surgery, alleged child abuse, and drug abuse, problems that many of us faced or know someone who has faced. Just not in the public eye. Many times, people are only appreciated after death which is unfortunate. I thank Michael Jackson fro breaking down racial barriers. I thank Michael Jackson for bringing the music and video to another level. I thank Michael Jackson, most of all, for touching my life, making me a better person, and speaking to me through his music. May you rest in peace, Michael You are loved. I pray that you get the peace in death that you couldn't in life. Rest, Michael. You have changed the world. You have done good. R.I.P. Michael Jackson (August 29, 1958-June 25, 2009) I love you. Your family loves you. The world loves you.

I know, hard to believe it's been a year. My mom said the same sad

Question: Do you think those cops and "officials" who did that to Michael were racists? Ie. "How dare this "N" have as much as he has while also having the magnatizm that he has over our kids". Or do you just think they were over zealous opportunists who did that to Michael.

I've given my opinion about Michael and on this day I won't again. However sometimes I think that people had a lot more invested into his demise while he lived than just because he was let's say "different". There was something deeper than that that motivated ongoing hate and rage towards that man. I just really can't say what. Well I think race plays a role in everything period, but I'm not saying that it was entirely based on race. I'm just wondering what your thoughts are regarding the relentless pursuit that "they" had for Michael. From the tabliods, to law enforcement etc.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

Here's something I wrote a couple of weeks after June 25, 2009. To this very moment, my sentiments remain the same. I miss you Michael....so much....crycrycrycry

Since as far back as I can remember, Michael Jackson has been the man of my dreams, my inspiration, and my favourite singer....and now, 18 years later, he still is. I remember the first day I heard "Billie Jean" on the radio at age 2....then discovering MTV and seeing his videos...seeing him dance and sing "Beat It" in his orange jacket and black jeans. He showed me that true love is for real, not just a fairy tale. Magic, love, respect, and never-ending childhood are real, because Michael Jackson graced this earth and proved that they are possible. He taught me to love others, respect others no matter who they are, and probably the impossible of feats: He taught me to love myself for who I am. Since that day in my childhood, I have stood by him. I have endured countless taunts in school and saw two-bit, half-assed tabloids try and slander his good name, but I shook them off and defended him. I even saw the law, an institution made to protect the innocent and persecute the guilty, try and crucify him...and FAIL miserably! But for me, if loving/admiring him is wrong, I don't want to know what's right.

After his untimely departure from this world, my love and admiration for him has not diminished. Rather it has increased a hundred fold, even when I thought I couldn't love him more. Even though Michael is no longer with us, I'd like to say that he was, is, and always will be, my baby, my inspiration, my everything. Thank you, Michael, for all the magic and the love that you've shown me to be true, and for making me the person that I am. I've always stood by you in life, and I'll continue to do so till the end of my days. For me, you live forever. Rest in peace, dearest heart. Till we meet again.

Here is a vid I made. There shall be more to come. I hope I've done right.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...6hf9Kwrmc0

I dedicate this film to my wonderful Michael, his family, and to all fangirls out there who ever loved, and still love, Michael Jackson.

To the fans, this should not be the end. This is a new beginning. Michael needs us more than ever! We can do right by him by MAKING THAT CHANGE...starting with ourselves...

God Bless and Peace

PS I know I used a Mariah Carrey song. But I felt it fit just this once. wink

You guys have no idea how much I was bawling when I heard this at the memorial - watching it live at my home here in Birmingham, England - the city where I grew up, where I became a fan of Michael at the age of 3.....the amount of music stores in this city I begged my dad to take me to, growing up, just to see if they had any new MJ stuff or things I didn't own already.....

I mean, I was already crying the whole through, but when I heard my city mentioned....I swear I wailed like a dying animal.

I so wish things could have been different. Ahhhh I need to stop thinking about it before I start crying again.

First up mad props to BBoy for that awesome OTF Anniversary edition.

Love the remixes - and beautifully put together.

For the last day and a bit here (being ahead a day in Australia) its been all MJ all the time and I've been loving watching specials on tv and listening to his music.

It only really got to me when I as listening to Paul Anka / MJ Live remix of This Is It on the OTW Anniversary that it really hit me and I got emotional. Hearing michael's carefree nature as he sang just hit me.

RIP MJ - Your music will live on forever.

I have no idea what it must be like to "idolize" anyone, because there was no one that I idolized that walked this earth (well besides Jesus). I will say that Michael had some sort of a pull on everyones souls. For years people, particularly Christians have always cautioned to be careful of what you listen to because some things can seep into the spirit or into the soul. Michael had the gift. He was a Pied Piper. Thankfully his Music was positive so I had no concern about his music "seeping". But there is something definitely "going on" with his music and the spirit of people. He literally moved the world. I appreciate the man's work. I have a great appreciation for his work.

No I don't know what it's like to "love" someone that I don't know personally. I do know what it's like to admire the heck out of them and their work. I'm a hard sister to make cry, and yes the tears even rolled for me.

You know how much in denial I was about his death? My friend called and said "Yo MJ is dead likely from an overdose". I said...."Oh yeah...that's not surprising", and then I hung up. Then like 2 days later it hit me like a TON OF BRICKS. I know my friend who called and advised me of this was like WTF? I just couldn't "deal" with it at the time of his call so I "shut it down". I could "deal" 2 days later. Michael's music was the "backdrop" for the lives of almost everyone his age and younger, so you have the whole world aged 52 and under who were likely somehow influenced by this man's work.

A year ago, I was walking down the street and this lil kid about age 5 likely Filipino...was singing and dancing singing "Keep on...with the force don't stop....Don't stop till you get enough". I mean how many kids sing and dance to songs that were made like 30 years before they were born? Amazing.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

Now i'm not trying to offend ANYONE with crass stupidity at all, but no doubt some will see it that way. But you're first paragaph. No, all of it.. Is this not how you know.. religions are created?

Good deeds, his writings, his trials & persecution, triumphs, speeches. it's really all there.

He won't be forgotten anytime soon that's for sure.

sigh Ok then. I have a lot of respect for the Chopras long before I even knew that there was a Jackson affiliation. Got Deepaks books. He obviously proved to be a man of integrity that he preaches to the world about.

sigh Ok then. I have a lot of respect for the Chopras long before I even knew that there was a Jackson affiliation. Got Deepaks books. He obviously proved to be a man of integrity that he preaches to the world about.

I have alot of respect for Deepak also but what I've seen when it comes to Michael, people tend to run to every news outlet who will talk to them to talk about their connection with him, and some of these folks were respected. Rabbi Schmuley is a PRIME example of this

That damned Rabbi "appeared" to be secretly taping Michael. I personally had not heard about the 'respect' that Schmuley had globally. I'm not just saying that, I really only saw the man on television a few times prior to Michael's death. He's an opportunist. I think that Deepak was talking for a reason, and I don't think that reason was "selfish", I think he was speaking about a "broader" message even a warning that everyone can learn concerning the man that many worshipped..

Ok 20/20 is on now.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

I was tearing up at the very beginning, but when Paris said her words.,I just lost it. sad

Amazing.

I thought of this today, many people would think you would have to know someone in order to love them, right? I have never met, talked to,or been anywhere near to being close to Michael, but I love him, I really do.I can't explain it,I just do.

Mike has the best fans in the world. They were outside Havenhurst and their home in Gary for I would say about a month after his passing. If I was in Encino and Gary, I'd be there too.
