Yeah, sure..... Prince has given me so many great experiences in the past, and playing live he is still one of the greatest musicians ever.
being a fan since 1983 I have so many great memories. Prince has created a wonderful soundtrack to my early (young) life. Especially 1983 to 1995. London 2007 was magic too, shame about his albums since 1995, they are not showing the brilliant artist/ musician he is, imo. ![]() [Edited 4/7/10 15:30pm] Prince 4Ever. ![]()

He's my favorite musician, but he's not my favorite musical artist, if that makes sense.
John Lennon is my favorite musical artist, and he's a musician, too, but I like him for his artistry, not his skills as a player. My Legacy

I like George Michael's prowess in the studio. Boy played just about everything on the Faith album. He's quite proficient on everything.
Wendy & Lisa rank up there, play most everything on their first album or two (although they later had a band for a while). Wendy is fierce on bass, and drums, as well as guitar. I like Dave Berry as a guitarist. I also think Larry Graham was fierce on bass back in the Sly/GCS days. The man defined a way of playing. Paul Mirkovich is an incredible musician and arranger and producer. Omar Hakim is one of the best drummers around, and greatly overlooked. Prince isn't my favorite musician, but he's up there in the top 5, as he is for favorite performer.

No. Jimi Hendrix is.
Prince is my favorite living musician. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

No, I'm pretty sure of myself that I understand the term, "musician". It's not difficult to comprehend. ![]() ![]()

I dare either of them to sit at a piano and play something worthy of listening to, or pick up a guitar and play something funky.

Some of you talk too damn much but end up looking a complete ass at the end. You don't sound smart!
'Musician' doesn't only apply to instrumentalists. It also applies to singers, songwriters, conductors, composers, etc. Basically, anyone that performs music.
