Whoa???
Michael's brothers are self-serving sex addicts, deadbeat parents who couldn't care less about their children and women beaters who think women are inferior. Apart from leeching off of their brother's success and money, they have never worked a second in their lives and constantly fill for bankrupcy. These guys have no values, no morals. Damnit: Randy admitted, on court, that he didn't know he had 2 kids with Alejandra! They make babies and send them to Hayvenhurst without caring about them. Jermaine is a pervert who had sex with more women than Gene Simmons! Let's not start with Joe. The man is a devil.

How could Randy know about his 2 children if their mother Alejandra was too busy getting f***ed by their uncle Jermaine?!?

Jermaine cared about Michael. They had their differences and Jermaine had his dickhead moments but dude loved his brother.

I read Margaret's book and nowhere did I read Jermaine saying "fuck michael"

I've seen the faxes and letters Jermaine sent to Michael after Word To The Badd! and before the Jackson Family Honors and he wanted Michael to be apart of not only the show, but be apart of the family

You didn't read the book. Otherwise you wouldn't be defending Jermaine. He never cared about his own children...why would he care about Michael?
You read "Jackson Family Values" and you still defend Jermaine? You are in denial, aren't you?

I didn't read the book?!

I OWNED THE BOOK! lol and read it recently twice. And I'm not in denial so let's not go there

I'm saying Jermaine has had his dickhead moments but I believe he did love his brother

Jermaine was irresponsible with his personal life back in the days.

But good freaking grief, Jackie was also irresponsible as well. He cheated on his first wife with Paula Abdul (soon to be choreographer of Janet).

Nah, I don't think he was beatin' on Enid. Homegirl, rest her soul, seemed like the kind of chick who'd cut a nucca and then nurse him back to health with a smirk on her face lol

Wonder why Jackie missed on the Victory Tour except the last LA shows?

Jackie suffer a broken leg that prevent him from doing most of The Victory Tour. Therefore, the fans had to settle for the Tito/Jermaine/Marlon/Michael/Randy line-up.

Enid also died broke.
sad I remember that she told her story on one of those 90's tabloid news shows (A Current Affair?) that Jackie didn't give her any money after their divorce settlement. I think he also filed for bankruptcy.

Michael was tired of delaying his career for his brothers' benefit and he knew, by 1984, that he had to separate himself from his brothers or else he would never reach the ambitioned status. Read the "Jackson Family Values" book and you will understand exactly why did Michael isolate himself from his family. And stop painting his family as good people and Michael as the bad guy who isolated himself from them, without a reason. Michael should have gone solo ealier but he was afraid of his family's reaction. His family pressured him his entire life, however, he just let them delay his career until the Victory tour.

He wasn't always talk to the hand with his family. He should have been that way though.
[Edited 12/4/09 15:01pm]

I've read this before, up to 1984 Michael was prolific, maintaining a healthy career as a Jackson and solo. Thriller was possibly the biggest selling album ever by the time the Victory tour started, so he'd already acheived his ambition. Michael lost that work ethic or was content with vanity projects like Captain EO, we know this, it can't be denied he preferred to mess about on the carousel in Neverland, rather than work.

In an ideal world he'd have released an album every two or three years either solo or with his brothers. I could almost guarantee 1993 wouldn't have happened and possibly neither the devastating events of this year for that matter.

I so agree with this. I do believe if MJ remained closer to his family, professionally and emotionally, half of the crap that happened in the last 20 years of his life wouldn't have happened. MJ legendary status was sealed in the first 20 years of his career and for most of that time he was still part of the Jacksons, even when he was producing stuff like OTW and Thriller.

I don't believe that all his family were just out for his money, there was obvious love for him too. Having said that it is obvious that some members of his family ie, Daddy dearest, saw him as a cash cow and therefore I can understand why he distanced himself from his family. So many things became alot clearer after his death.

I know they've been planning this for awhile and have been following the reality show updates. I just think it's too bad they couldn't get an actual performance together instead--with or without Michael. And I wanted them to speak to exactly why Randy is not partaking.

the networks weren't really interested in this show until mj died. mj wasn't even interested.

randy is probably not participating for two main reasons (outside of it being a bad idea, as soulalive said). one, jermaine is a media whore. with mj out of the way, so to speak, he moves up in the line-up as the most popular member of the j5. randy was not a part of the j5. with him in the line-up, the jacksons became a different group, one in which he played an important role. he and mj wrote some of group's memorable hits.

why would randy want to see himself be marginalized by the likes of jermaine, who came whoring and pushing his way back into the group after they contined to progress, and especially after mj hit the really big time?

second, although i'm sure they are civil, i can't believe that randy would want to spend a whole lot time in jermaine's presence for obvious reasons. i'm a scorpio, too; we hold grudges! wink

nod

Yes I have to agree; Jermaine has always came off as being a greasy face fame whore. And the way that he cheated with Randy's girlfriend, that was just bogus!

Fans Kept Guessing About "Jackson 4" Reunion

By Jill Serjeant

Michael Jackson's death put a sudden end to long-rumored plans for a Jackson 5 reunion, but brother Jermaine on Friday kept fans guessing about whether there might be a "Jackson 4" concert next year.

"Those plans are in the works but you have to wait and see where it goes", Jermaine Jackson told reporters, referring to an upcoming reality TV show about the famous singing family.

"The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty," which begins airing on Dec 13 on the A&E network, follows original members Jermaine, Jackie, Tito and Marlon as they planned for a tentative 40th anniversary reunion of the Jackson 5 before -- and after -- the sudden death in June of their younger brother Michael.

The Jackson 5, with Michael as the key singer, were one of Motown's biggest acts in the early 1970s, scoring hit songs such as "ABC" and "I'll Be There."

Producers on Friday said fans would have to watch the six-episode show to find out whether the brothers decide to go ahead in some form, without Michael.

"That is a surprise ending...so you have to stay tuned for that. The guys live all of those answers out on camera," said executive producer Jodi Gomes.

Gomes and Jermaine Jackson also denied reports from earlier this year that his late brother's three young children would appear on the TV show, citing respect for Michael's efforts to keep them away from the media spotlight during his life.

"There was never any intention to put Michael's children on the show before or after his death," Gomes said.

The TV show began shooting the sometimes fractious four brothers in the spring of 2009, following them to dance rehearsals and recording studios and back to their humble beginnings in Gary, Indiana as they tried to put together plans for a Jackson 5 reunion.

It also gives the first inside look on how they dealt with their brother's June 25 death and its aftermath. Brother Jackie, 58, breaks into tears as he recalls hearing about Michael's death on his car radio.

"We were voted the No.1 family for the world to know more about way before Michael's passing," Jermaine told reporters.

"We are doing what he would want us to do. This is the best connection we have with the fans who want so much more from the family," he added, explaining the decision to continue filming after Michael's death.

"For so many years we have never revealed who we really are," Jermaine said. "You knew us on stage, but (now) we get a chance to be ourselves off stage."

It is unclear whether Michael Jackson, who does not appear in the TV show and who was rehearsing for his own comeback concerts in London when he died suddenly in June, seriously planned to take part in the much talked-about reunion of the band that made him a child star in the 1960s.

Jermaine Jackson said he was still finding it hard to listen to the band's old music.

"I think about Michael every moment," he said. "We will never be the Jackson 5 again."

Arnotts

Jermaine is actually looking really good in that interview, and I've NEVER found him attractive, but hes probably the best looking one out of all of them now. I dont find many of the Jackson grandkids very pleasant to look at either but his kid Jafar is good looking too.

I'm actually excited to see this show. Although I find most of the Jackson family members disturbing on paper, when I see them on camera I cant help but feel a real fondness for them. I think underneath it they're good people, I just dont think they were strong enough to stand hollywood and it took their dysfunction (which all familys have) to insane levels

Randy just doesn't want to be in it because he's fat now and he's embarrassed. Which is ashame since they should have included EVERYBODY and have it truly be about ALL the Jacksons, or at least the brothers.

Michael wanted to do more solo albums. By 1980, after OTW, he wanted to record another solo album. He was young and fresh. He wasn't being attacked by the media yet and his superstar status didn't touch the sky. Critics didn't demand perfection from him, so he could concentrate 100% on his music. That's why he was prolific and made great music. He would've mantained an even healthier career without his brothers. To claim his brothers are the reason behind his success would be laughable if it wasn't so ridiculous. The family didn't even want him to go solo! Joe and Jermaine did everything they could to stop Thriller from being released. Remember Jermaine telling Michael that Thriller was a bunch of junk? Remember Joe's studio outbursts?

He lost his work ethic because he didn't have proper guidance at home. Because as he grew as an artist, his brothers' jealously and his father's greedyness increased, also grew. He lost his work ethic because he lost his love for the music businness. He was, by then, the biggest star the world had ever known and the media waited for him with forks and knifes. His family saw him as an object and Michael knew it. He was denial, but the fact is that he knew that even his own family didn't give two craps about him. Michael traumas hit him as was expected. He started seeing everyone's true colours and a battle inside his own head started.

Imagine the Jacksons didn't exist in Michae's life. He would have a loving family who wouldn't torture him all his life. He would eventually have a normal childhood and feel loved. His home life wouldn't be a circus (research about life with the Jacksons in Hayvenhurst) and he would be a down-to-earth person. There would be no scandals and, certainly, no early deaths. So, I totally disagree with you: Michael's career and personal life would be hailed as an example. But his family messed everything up. The man had traumas and was always sad. Did he traumatize himself? No. Is there a reason as to why he was always said? Yes. Imagine you had the Jacksons as a family. Imagine your family was your biggest enemy.

To sum up, Michael would have been BIGGER and BETTER without his crappy family.

There's a reason as to why he died first: because he was perceived as the family's object and he knew it. Put yourself in his place. In the MJ land truth is stranger than fiction and there's an undeniable fact: the guy's family certainly contribute to that stranger than fiction truth.

Michael to LMP: "I wonder what is it like to be loved by my family without them thinking in what they want me to do for them next."

Get why he died first? Because he was the object which was used by everybody without decency.

So, are you close enough to the family to back up all of this...have you ever spent any time with any of them...?

1. It's not that expensive to hang out in Vegas, anyone can go there, it's not all that. How are they acting like they own the place?

2. How do you know Michael's money paid for their hotel? As many public appearances as Claymaine (gotta give it up to you for that moniker) does in Europe and the Middle East, I'm pretty sure he's straight for dough. Same for Latoya; she's a Z-List celebrity if there ever was one, but that chick is a straight hustler business-wise, and knows how to use the power of her name to command appearance and endorsement fees that everyday folk would never dream of from a person that's not a regular fixture on TMZ or US Magazine.
