It must difficult to have people judge your every action, remark, and decisions and have some people (myself included) think they can claim a definitive knowledge about your life just because media/press said so. To be fair, I think a lot of lies, half truths have been laid at the Jacksons' family feet also. Far to many times just because such bullshit is repeated and often it's taken as gospel.

In a nutshell, what's bewailed the Jackson's has been repeated time and time in the entrainment/music industry. Artist/musicians inability to manage and function in a hedonistic industry. Review the names of their formers label mates at Motown and what be-failed them. It appears people who've had somewhat dysfunctional or difficulties family lives seek music as a profession and regrettable fame appears to exacerbate their insecurities and foibles. As someone said when you become rich and famous, there is no handbook/manual/guide to get you through it. In my opinion one can't spend a life continuing to lay all the blame for your actions, troubles, or poor decisions on daddy or mommy either. Some if not most mistakes are Yours, own them.

All the Jackson (with exception of Janet & Reba) haven't managed their lives very well, specifically speaking of their finances. All have been broke, on their ass, and mismanage/squandered millions and the case of Michael, billions.

Have said that.....

I like SoulAlive I have trepidation about them doing the show and wonder what good if anything would come from it. I was really surprised Marlon signed on too. But listening to them talking lil' bit about their lives and the life they shared with their late brother, they loved him and Michael loved his brothers, his family. I have siblings and it's taken us some time to mature to respect that just because we see some events differently doesn't discredit either perspectives. In fact to be dismissive of someone feeling/perceptions may be just as wrong, disrespectful. Some thing are resolved and somethings a Jermaine said, 'You agree to respectively disagree but at the end of the day you love each other madly and have each others back'. I'm sure they've all said and done things they've regretted. I would think the death of Michael put somethings in proper perspective and they've all realized on some issues were mole hills were made out of mountains, all they have each other no matter what.

I guess it depends on your birth where you timeline starts by mine starts' in the 60's when the Jackson 5 played in local talent contest in Gary, and they played after school sock hops before the became 'THE JACKSON FIVE'. I bought all the records and albums and "shit" and followed supported them ...Michael became a solo career; only taking a step back after the release of "Thriller". It's silly to talk to speak of Michael Jackson brothers as gum under his shoes to be scrapped off so he could move on to bigger and better things. He didn't start off as a solo artist and walking instep with them prepared and nurtured a brilliant artist, they deserve and have earned the respect to bee viewed and known as artist musicians who've were once apart one a Legendary group name, The Jackson 5/The Jackson's. (IMHO)

I had heard about the show a while back , way before michael died and I had interest in it.I was interested in what his brothers were doing because you don't hear alot about them and compare to alot of michael's stan I don't just skip to thriller etc i'm a fan of the jackson 5/jacksons as well(Even though Michael my main one but still lol)I just have a feeling the show might back fire on them or expose to many other things but I'll watch the first two episodes . I doubt if I will be watching on a regular basis though .

no I don't consider them liars as regards to joseph- it's just their opinion- and michael had his opinion.

my mom was strict like that that- and I "- sometimes that's just how it is in families- they have "come to terms" with their abuser.....

Remember what Jermaine told his family after Michael was accused of paedophilia? "Fuck Michael. He's tarnishing the family's image.". Everyone knew that the allegations agaisnt Michael were the perfect time for Jermaine to be in the spotglight. Margaret said this: "Privately, Jermaine was blaming Michael and, a part of him, was happier than ever. In public, he gave interview after interview supporting his brother. He would [during the interviews] always be holding hands with our sons despite the fact that he refused to wish them happy birthday or even call them in Christmas. He was hounding the spotligth after Michael was accused. (...) He then flew with Joseph and Katherine to Bangkok. They were going to see Michael for the first time after the allegations. Jermaine had told the media that he was going to give his brother emotional support. What the media didn't know was that Michael's welfare was not on Jermaine's mind. In fact, Jermaine brought the Family Honors show contract with him, on his pocket. The first thing he did along with Joseph, when he saw Michael, was pressure him to appear on that show. He never bothered to ask how was Michael doing. He spent the 2 days in Bangkok pressuring his brother to appear on the "Jackson Family Honors". When he came back to America, Jermaine immediately gave an interview stating that his "little brother cried on his shoulder, thanking [him] for the support.". At home he would boast about the fact that he and Joseph were able to control Michael because he "was weak, more controllable.". Both Joseph and Jermaine were happier than ever. Once again, Michael was going to be their puppet.[extract from Maldonaldo's book].

What a good brother, uh?

Jermaine cared about Michael. They had their differences and Jermaine had his dickhead moments but dude loved his brother.

I read Margaret's book and nowhere did I read Jermaine saying "fuck michael"

I've seen the faxes and letters Jermaine sent to Michael after Word To The Badd! and before the Jackson Family Honors and he wanted Michael to be apart of not only the show, but be apart of the family

Micheal did say in his book "Moonwalker" that he and Jermaine were very close during the J5 years. When they left Motown and Jermaine stayed, MJ said he took it hard.
