Well i own 2300 Jackson St. Several Jermaine albums, (If You Feel The Fire, His self-Titled album on vinyl, Dynamite etc) I've always loved Jermaine's voice and he's an excellent bassist too.

I'm not bothered about his personal life, aint none of my business.

i know as late as 2007 Jermaine had his brothers back from Big Brother and what he said about Mike, I know for fact he spoke out on the allegations on Mike, attended court on occassion in 2005 and was derided for stating it was a 'modern day lynching'. So what he has done post-MJ is totally within character. At the end of the day he's Mike's big brother.

I'm sure he and the rest of the family don't deserve to be spat on and despised, i'll tell you that for damn sure. mad

Remember what Jermaine told his family after Michael was accused of paedophilia? "Fuck Michael. He's tarnishing the family's image.". Everyone knew that the allegations agaisnt Michael were the perfect time for Jermaine to be in the spotglight. Margaret said this: "Privately, Jermaine was blaming Michael and, a part of him, was happier than ever. In public, he gave interview after interview supporting his brother. He would [during the interviews] always be holding hands with our sons despite the fact that he refused to wish them happy birthday or even call them in Christmas. He was hounding the spotligth after Michael was accused. (...) He then flew with Joseph and Katherine to Bangkok. They were going to see Michael for the first time after the allegations. Jermaine had told the media that he was going to give his brother emotional support. What the media didn't know was that Michael's welfare was not on Jermaine's mind. In fact, Jermaine brought the Family Honors show contract with him, on his pocket. The first thing he did along with Joseph, when he saw Michael, was pressure him to appear on that show. He never bothered to ask how was Michael doing. He spent the 2 days in Bangkok pressuring his brother to appear on the "Jackson Family Honors". When he came back to America, Jermaine immediately gave an interview stating that his "little brother cried on his shoulder, thanking [him] for the support.". At home he would boast about the fact that he and Joseph were able to control Michael because he "was weak, more controllable.". Both Joseph and Jermaine were happier than ever. Once again, Michael was going to be their puppet.[extract from Maldonaldo's book].

Michael signed for the unreleased album "Humanity" in 1998 and had written songs for it though

did he work on it with his brothers? and if so, why hasn't it been released?

I think some songs were recorded but it was never released because Randy's label fell through

It's kinda half and half it seems. Jermaine kinda uses Michael to be in the spotlight at times (Mobo Awards for example), but he also seems to really want to keep Michael's legacy alive. He may go about things the wrong way, but you can tell he's doing out of love. Dude went and said "Evan Chandler killed himself because he knew he set my brother up"

I was like DAAAAAMN 'Maine! Some of us were thinkin' it but he went and said it out loud! lol

I don't think none of the brothers were terrible and trash either

Now if there's a Jackson that shouldn't be trusted....it's Joesph Walter Jackson and his sidekick Leonard Rowe lol

Hmm, i don't see anyone saying the new J5 album (and it is, make no mistake) is underhand, i don't see the difference personally.

j5 or jacksons, it doesn't matter, mj was a solo act at the end of his life. unless motown releases stuff from their vault which they own (which they've been doing), i'm not down with using mj's vocals to make 'new music' that the brothers get to ride on b/c mj wasn't part of any group and wouldn't have given his consent for such. he said as much in one of his last press releases when he said he was working on new music...as in his own music...though he wished his brothers well.

I never implied using his vocals from his solo years or the solo album outtakes or demos, but songs recorded strictly as part of the Jacksons.

Jermaine cared about Michael. They had their differences and Jermaine had his dickhead moments but dude loved his brother.

I read Margaret's book and nowhere did I read Jermaine saying "fuck michael"

I've seen the faxes and letters Jermaine sent to Michael after Word To The Badd! and before the Jackson Family Honors and he wanted Michael to be apart of not only the show, but be apart of the family

And do you really believe he said that because he REALLY wanted to be a part of the family? Jermaine was interested in using Michael. He pressured him by claiming he had to be a part of the family. Jermaine would always used that argument.

Jermaine told Michael that he had to tour with his brothers, because he "had to be a part of the family". Jermaine told Michael, in 1989, that he had to record 2300 Jackson street because he (Jermaine) wanted him to be a part of the family. He would use the "the family wants you back" argument in order to pressure Michael. He was never interested in having "Michael back to be a part of the family". He was interested in having Michael back to be a part of a family tour and album and, in order to make him do so, he would use the "the family wants you back" excuse. Just like Jermaine would use the "you don't care about the family" and "you have to be a part of the family" arguments in order to pressure Margaret.

Again: He would use the "I want you to be a part of the family" or "The family loves you and wants you" in order to pressure Michael to do what he wanted.

Remember the interview in which Jermaine told the interviewer that the family wanted Michael back and, because Michael was a part of the Jackson family and because the family loved him and just wanted him close to take care of him, Michael had to tour with them. Michael had to tour with his family in order to be a part of the family again and, because Michael was doing a solo tour, he was betraying his own blood. According to Jermaine, Michael betrayed the family by going solo and the family wanted him back. By wanting him back, he means having Michael touring with them. Otherwise, he would be betraying the family.

REPEAT:Jermaine would ALWAYS use that excuse in order to pressure and consequently use Michael. Don't fall in the guy's trap. That's a typical Jermaine excuse; claiming the family wants Michael near to take care of him and that he wants Michael to be a part of the family so that he will take advantage of Michael. For Jermaine, Michael being a part of the family, is the same as saying that because Michael is a part of the Jackson family, he should tour and make albums with them.

In black and white:
I want you to be a part of the family = I want you to think you owe the family favors so that you will tour with us and I can use you.

Being a part of the family= touring with the family and delaying your career in order to elevate mine.

Jermaine is just like Joe. A monster.

You didn't read the book. Otherwise you wouldn't be defending Jermaine. He never cared about his own children...why would he care about Michael?
You read "Jackson Family Values" and you still defend Jermaine? You are in denial, aren't you?

Wow, Jermaine's powers of persuasion over Mike since 1984 amounted to what? a cameo on 2300, and the Family Honours where Mike stood around.

Monstrous.

Don't paint Mike as a weak-willed fool, he was always talk to the hand with is family and in a lot of ways, that's kind of sad. It's not like his isolation did him any good in the end, perhaps his family were in part genuinley reaching out to him for reasons other than money. But folks will believe what they will i suppose.

Michael was tired of delaying his career for his brothers' benefit and he knew, by 1984, that he had to separate himself from his brothers or else he would never reach the ambitioned status. Read the "Jackson Family Values" book and you will understand exactly why did Michael isolate himself from his family. And stop painting his family as good people and Michael as the bad guy who isolated himself from them, without a reason. Michael should have gone solo ealier but he was afraid of his family's reaction. His family pressured him his entire life, however, he just let them delay his career until the Victory tour.

He wasn't always talk to the hand with his family. He should have been that way though.

I've read this before, up to 1984 Michael was prolific, maintaining a healthy career as a Jackson and solo. Thriller was possibly the biggest selling album ever by the time the Victory tour started, so he'd already acheived his ambition. Michael lost that work ethic or was content with vanity projects like Captain EO, we know this, it can't be denied he preferred to mess about on the carousel in Neverland, rather than work.

In an ideal world he'd have released an album every two or three years either solo or with his brothers. I could almost guarantee 1993 wouldn't have happened and possibly neither the devastating events of this year for that matter.

Michael wanted to do more solo albums. By 1980, after OTW, he wanted to record another solo album. He was young and fresh. He wasn't being attacked by the media yet and his superstar status didn't touch the sky. Critics didn't demand perfection from him, so he could concentrate 100% on his music. That's why he was prolific and made great music. He would've mantained an even healthier career without his brothers. To claim his brothers are the reason behind his success would be laughable if it wasn't so ridiculous. The family didn't even want him to go solo! Joe and Jermaine did everything they could to stop Thriller from being released. Remember Jermaine telling Michael that Thriller was a bunch of junk? Remember Joe's studio outbursts?

He lost his work ethic because he didn't have proper guidance at home. Because as he grew as an artist, his brothers' jealously and his father's greedyness increased, also grew. He lost his work ethic because he lost his love for the music businness. He was, by then, the biggest star the world had ever known and the media waited for him with forks and knifes. His family saw him as an object and Michael knew it. He was denial, but the fact is that he knew that even his own family didn't give two craps about him. Michael traumas hit him as was expected. He started seeing everyone's true colours and a battle inside his own head started.

Imagine the Jacksons didn't exist in Michae's life. He would have a loving family who wouldn't torture him all his life. He would eventually have a normal childhood and feel loved. His home life wouldn't be a circus (research about life with the Jacksons in Hayvenhurst) and he would be a down-to-earth person. There would be no scandals and, certainly, no early deaths. So, I totally disagree with you: Michael's career and personal life would be hailed as an example. But his family messed everything up. The man had traumas and was always sad. Did he traumatize himself? No. Is there a reason as to why he was always said? Yes. Imagine you had the Jacksons as a family. Imagine your family was your biggest enemy.

To sum up, Michael would have been BIGGER and BETTER without his crappy family.

There's a reason as to why he died first: because he was perceived as the family's object and he knew it. Put yourself in his place. In the MJ land truth is stranger than fiction and there's an undeniable fact: the guy's family certainly contribute to that stranger than fiction truth.

Michael to LMP: "I wonder what is it like to be loved by my family without them thinking in what they want me to do for them next."

Get why he died first? Because he was the object which was used by everybody without decency.

a lot of posters on mj boards always talk about the deposition mj gave a couple of years ago wherein he seemed to accuse randy and another man of trying to pressure him into signing away the rights to the atv catalog. and that randy was directly responsible for the debacle of the employees not being paid at the ranch. and that randy's one of the family members who has been trying to get mj's will invalidated in order to get control.

do you know or have an opinion about these rumors?

I have. In fact, Randy did much more than that. Remember the money that disappeared from Michael's bank account, during he trial? Remember what Bria Oxman, who works for Randy, said? Remember what Mark Lester, who is friends with Randy, said? Remember that Randy wants to be an executor of the estate? Think about it. The Jacksons, with the exception of MJ, MJ's kids and 3T are trash. THey deserve to be despised and spat on.

MOL u just LOVE to bash the jacksons anytime u can. get out of here with that

There's a reason as to why Michael left ZERO dollars for his family. There's a reason as to why Michael preferred having Diana Ross raising his kids to his own borthers and sisters doing so. Think about it

And join you in cloud cuckoo land? no ta. Your previous post read like fanfic, i get it. You hate his kin no matter what.

I don't, though i acknowledge they aint perfect, of course.

Like fanfic? Yet, you are uncapable of contradicting the "fanfic" with reasonable arguments. Instead of claiming that I hate his kin (I don't, by the way) what about using some arguments, uh? Have you ever heard about that?

I've burst your bubble. You were the one who lived in a cloud cuckoo land, claiming the Jacksons, those big ole' teddy bears, were a loving, functional and caring family. When presented with some not-so-good-to-hear facts, you immediately insulted me. Instead of facing them, you prefer to dismiss them as fanfic from an obvious air head person! Only a earthly demon would be capable of thinking that the Jacksons are a highly dysfunctional family with no morals or values. Only a demon! Only an air-head! How can I? Shame on me!

Jermaine would never pull a La Toya because he values the family's image too much.

Margaret said what Katherine told her. Besides, she saw the contract in Jermaine's pocket.

We don't know what happened behind close doors or you don't want to know what happened behind closed doors? Here's a man who, after receiving 450.000 bucks from Big Brother, told the judge that he couldn't afford to put food in his kid's table. Even after Alejandra having told the judge their kid starved, Jermaine continued refusing to pay his child support. Latoya also stated that Jermaine was incredible jealous of Michael and constantly pressured him to do what he (Jermaine) wanted. Jermaine is just like Joe.

Are you a part of the Jackson family or something? rolleyes

Stop talking as if you know them.

thank you, i swear some fans really think they know everything as if they lived in the house and know the family personally. MOL u are an outsider looking in and u can't believe EVERYTHING said especially from an angry ex-wife. i'm not saying that some of the thing aren't true but u have to stop being so critical of the family

It's impossible not to bash them when presented with some facts, don't you think? At first, I denied everything. I thought that they were a happy, loving family with some flaws. I turned a blind eye and refused to acknowledge the truth. But damn; sometimes is a bit too hard to do so. I posted here some known and factual things about Randy and, yet, you still label me as a hater who hates on him with no apparent reason. Get out of your living fantasy; this man didn't know how many kids he had. This man is doing everything to put his hand on Michael's money. This man robbed Michael in his darkest hours. This man abused his wife and child. This man paid people to insinuate that Michael was under undue influence and therefore was not sane. Yet, you choose to label me as a hater? I'm just stating facts. You are the one who prefers not to deal with reality.

i'm talking about the family as a whole. i don't know much about the situation with randy so i'm not gonna pretend to. i do know he hasn't been a great father and he added to michael's financial problems but at the end of the day he loves his brother.

how did he rob michael? i thought he and karen robbed the fans who gave that site money

what so u mean he paid people to insinuate michael was under the infulence? do u have proof?

the reality is u don't know as much as u think

exactly, we only see on tv, books and etc. but then there are some of us who aren't just analyzing but trying to pass things off as fact.

At the end of the day, Michael loved his family dearly and hey loved him. That's all that matters. We, as fans need to stop worrying about stuff that doesn't involve us (i.e why Michael didn't wanna leave his kids in the care of his brothers/sisters or why he didn't leave his brothers/sisters with money) That was Michael's choice, case closed.

Whoa.

Whoa???
Michael's brothers are self-serving sex addicts, deadbeat parents who couldn't care less about their children and women beaters who think women are inferior. Apart from leeching off of their brother's success and money, they have never worked a second in their lives and constantly fill for bankrupcy. These guys have no values, no morals. Damnit: Randy admitted, on court, that he didn't know he had 2 kids with Alejandra! They make babies and send them to Hayvenhurst without caring about them. Jermaine is a pervert who had sex with more women than Gene Simmons! Let's not start with Joe. The man is a devil.

How could Randy know about his 2 children if their mother Alejandra was too busy getting f***ed by their uncle Jermaine?!?
disbelief
