Jackson brothers special to become a series
A&E docu-series to focus on Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon

Access Hollywood
updated 1 hour ago

LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson’s brothers have landed their own series on A&E.

The cable network has confirmed to Access Hollywood that the documentary special that had been originally planned, which focuses on Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon Jackson, will now be turned into a series.

Earlier this month, A&E spokesperson Dan Silberman confirmed plans for the one-time special, which will serve as the basis for the docu-series.

According to Silberman, Michael did not participate in the filming of the special, which was shot before his death on June 25. No start date for the series has been announced.

In other Jackson family TV news, ABC announced on Tuesday that La Toya Jackson would give her first one-on-one interview since Michael’s death to Barbara Walters next month.

The interview is scheduled to air on “20/20” on September 11.

Following that, La Toya will also appear alongside Walters as a guest host on “The View” on September 16 and September 18.

The show with his brothers I had interest in before , I heard about it way before michael died but hmmm just a hot mess .life goes on though

None of that happens without Michael Jackson's addiction fueld ridiculousness. I hope this doctor gets the lightest sentence possible. Michael Jackson could not be stopped nor could he be forced to account for his choices including the procurement of a pharmacy's worth of drugs. It's coming out that he had all these alliases in order to get more and more drugs.

This doctor is obvioulsy incompetent but I hope this factors into any sentencing he gets. It takes 2 to Tango and while the doctor danced, Michael Jackson constructed the ballroom and furnished the ball.

Ya know what is really crazy is he had to settle a lawsuit with the one pharmacy for over $100k! I don't remember what time period it covered, but I think it was over a year or two. It's mind boggling that he ran through so many drugs!

While my family doctor wouldn't give me more than 2 Ativan at a time when I needed them for traveling. lol

Its crazy regarding his pharmacy bill.

Why the hell would anyone need 100K worth of drugs.

The people he hired or was around him just proved how screwed up he was personally. The people he was around were drug dealers.

Sadly I watched one of Michaels employees on television. She inferred that Michael was ceaning up his act in her words. This was an older woman who had no reason to lie.

She said his children were very important to him.

I believe she was referring in some way to that Tohme person, whom she said was not to be trusted.

Dr Murray, and the other doctor's were wrong to administer any type of drug, espcially to an addict. Evidently they didn't care.

Doctor's need to realize that this needs to stop. I don't care who the person is.

Did anyody notice that there was no report of Demerol in his system?

Well the autopsy report hasn't been out yet. They're basically focusing on what Murray gave him that night and it was just hinted that MJ was giving "lethal levels" of propofol that they apparently found in his body.

And the way they treated MJ was like a cocaine or heroin dealer with someone who was struggling to be sober only to fall back into temptation.

I guess because Elizabeth was still a pill popper allegedly that she probably was no use but she did require MJ to go to rehab in '93. Then again, yeah money definitely is the root of all evil especially if it's forgetting that your friend has a problem.

yeah People should really focus on this case.....people who say that Mj was mainly a drug addict need to look at the bigger picture, MJ wasn't taking heroin, cocaine like most drug addicts, he wasn’t taking anything like that to satisfy his body, he was suffering from insomnia, all the articles and reports indicate that MJ needed few hours to sleep, it was insomnia , the doctor was recklessly administering propofol and other dangerous powerful drugs to a person who couldn’t sleep…..thats the point, aren’t there ways to treat Michael other than injecting those drugs in his system? As a professional doctor he should used other ways to help Mj , there are other ways or what? I need to know…….

So true.. and that is true about '93. We are all human, and with that comes weaknesses.

If all he was seeking was a good night's rest, then why didn't he visit a sleep specialist? Los Angeles has hundreds of them. Nearly all Propofol abusers claim they need it to fall asleep. The incidence of propofol abuse has risen fivefold over the last 10 years. Because propofol is such a short-acting substance, heavy abusers must inject it frequently to stay high, as cited in a recent report. I believe he was an "addict" in every sense of the word.

MJ Alive? Someone Wants You To Think So

This video is probably as real as the existence of unicorns -- but the clip, claiming to show
Michael Jackson walking out of the back of a Coroner's van after his "death," is making
the rounds on the Internet today.
According to the LiveLeak post: "I checked the license plate number and it looks like the King of Pop
is jumping out of the same van, his dead body has been in. I got the original video tape from
a trustworthy source. I know him for years. And I am sure it´s real and Michael is alive."

has it been established that mj was using propofol consistently over the years?

i read the interview with the sony execs wherein he talked about his trepidation at touring again because apparently during the history tour he was introduced to the drug b/c sony needed to ensure he finished the tour. he was having insomnia then. (that may have been induced by his intake of other drugs, i grant you) he expressed fear that he might die if he toured again b/c of the toll it was all taking on his body. they didn't make it sound as if he was happy to be taking propofol.

there has been no mention of mj taking propofol again until murray showed up six weeks before his death. murray indicates (allegedly) that he was worried mj might be becoming addicted to propofol, indicating that he wasn't already addicted to it when murray arrived on the scene. he may have been addicted to other drugs, but there is nothing to indicate he was taking propofol to get high, but to sleep.

we don't know that he didn't try sleep specialists, do we? admittedly, he should have continued to use them, if he tried them, but we do not know that he didn't try them.

there are so many variables out there, i wouldn't be so sure to assume anything just yet. this is the l.a.p.d we're talking about who's leaking these theories about mj; since when are they infallible? for every deepak chopra inserting his opinion about mj's addiction, you have tom meseareau and raymone bain, even that crazy nurse cheryl lee, saying that mj wasn't an addict. so who knows?

If Mj didn't want a good night's sleep then what the hell he was asking for? you tell me? don't tell he was just a drug addict and just wanted propofol for fun, there was a problem, it was insomnia, MJ trusted Murry as a professional doctor to help him to recover from insomnia, there is no need to hire a sleep specialist when you hire a professional doctor, Mj simply doesn’t sleep when he goes on tour or doing rehearsals, it takes alot of him, it happened a lot during his previous tours during his History and dangerous tours , you see him goes to the concert dancing and singing for 2 hours , then goes to the hotel and still he can't sleep, it was a problem for him during tours and rehearsals, but in this current case what happened is that he hired a fuckin reckless bastard who didn't care about anything but money, he was injecting poison and dangerous drugs in his body, his death was avoidable, Murry knows the effect of the drugs he was administrating and he didn’t care, Mj hired him six weeks before his death to help him during the rehearsals time, he was reckless as hell, and he should be held accountable.

Well, it doesn't look like it included legal fees, but the papers don't detail what was ordered. The suit was filed in 2007, for bills owed back to 2005, it was then settled 'amicably'. But holy moly, owing a bill that high should've caught someone's attention that there was a BIG problem. Here's the link to the papers:
