I always thought MJ went nuts with his face after the Pepsi fire fiasco.

Yeah he was doing plastic surgery before that.

But he just went overboard with it in late 1984 and the years which followed.

Its like he didn't know WTF he was doing to himself anymore.

Sure must have been that Demerol

Propofol Link at Pharmacy in Jackson Case

Posted Aug 11th 2009 1:00PM by TMZ Staff

Dr. Conrad Murray purchased Propofol -- the drug we're told killed Michael Jackson -- from the Las Vegas pharmacy that was searched today by the DEA, according to a new report.

An unnamed law enforcement official reportedly claims evidence was uncovered at Applied Pharmacy Services this morning, proving Dr. Murray legally bought the strong anesthetic there. We don't know if there is any link to Jackson.

We did some checking ... Applied Pharmacy Services is a home infusion pharmacy -- meaning they specialize in infusions in the home. Interesting.

As we first reported, the DEA searched the pharmacy for documents, computer hard drives, prescriptions
and shipping information of controlled substances that may have been given to Jackson by Dr. Murray.

I was a toddler when I first saw this album cover, and I remember being fascinated by how Michael could be known/recognized with just a picture of his gorgeous eyes and eyebrows. (The black version is my second favorite picture of him. It's the greatest and coolest promotional photo I've ever seen.)

To specify: The "black version" I referred to is the picture of his eyes/eyebrows and curl surrounded by black, and not framed with his name or the animals. (It's the photo in my avatar, not the Special Edition cover of "Dangerous" seen in the post above.)

Off to Neverland
At His Fantasy Playground in the Hills of Santa Barbara County, Where the Singer Entertained Gaggles of Young Kids and Older Celebrities, the Accent Was Always on Excess—and Later Controversy.

When he purchased his 2,600-acre ranch in Santa Barbara county in 1988 for $17 million, Jackson famously named it Neverland—a tribute to the magical realm from Peter Pan where nobody ever grows up. It became a sanctuary where he could indulge his every fantasy—and where his eccentricities came into full bloom. He had a crib in his bedroom for his primate friend forever Bubbles the chimp and hosted Elizabeth Taylor's eighth wedding (to Larry Fortensky in 1991). It took on a dark aura with allegations of child sexual abuse. After his 2005 acquittal Jackson largely abandoned the property, retreating for a time to the Middle East and Europe. The estate cost as much as $10 million a year to run and became a financial sinkhole for Jackson, as his album sales declined and his spending raged out of control. Last year he nearly lost Neverland to foreclosure, though now there is talk it may be turned into a museum.

if youre a hardcore mj fan dont get it b/c you'll be pissed off, but for someone like me, it's a good read. i don't take the dialogue too seriously. the earlier portion of it i've heard is more accurate than the latter.

Jackson tribute to be televised globally

By WILLIAM J. KOLE, Associated Press Writer William J. Kole, Associated Press Writer – Tue Aug 11, 1:37 pm ET

VIENNA – Next month's tribute to Michael Jackson on the grounds of a 17th century palace in Vienna will feature a three-hour, star-studded show to be televised live to a global audience of 1 billion people, the event promoter said Tuesday.

Georg Kindel of World Awards Media GmbH said negotiations are ongoing with networks over rights to broadcast what's being billed as Jackson's main global tribute, and the pop legend's brother Jermaine is assembling the lineup of about 10 "of the biggest artists of our time."

"Jermaine thinks maybe 1 billion people will watch the television show," Kindel said in an interview with The Associated Press. "It will be a very special evening for the millions of fans around the globe."

Austrian media reported that Madonna, U2, Lionel Richie and Whitney Houston might be among the artists performing 15-20 Jackson hits on a crown-shaped outdoor stage in front of Schoenbrunn Palace. But Kindel said the lineup is still in the works.

"I don't even know myself" who will take the stage, he said.

The event will be held in the second half of September, he said. Organizers have pledged to announce the date and lineup soon. Tickets go on sale Aug. 20.

Kindel said the show — conceived amid a flurry of events honoring Jackson since his death June 25 in Los Angeles — also will feature family members and unidentified Hollywood stars reminiscing as images and video clips of Jackson are screened.

"It will be about Michael Jackson the man and the humanitarian," he said, adding that a "significant portion" of the proceeds will benefit several charities, including the Larry King Cardiac Foundation, which helps patients who can't afford heart surgery.

Kindel said the tribute originally was planned for London's Wembley Stadium on Aug. 29, which would have been Jackson's 51st birthday, but that Jermaine Jackson decided instead on Vienna. The singer had been rehearsing for a series of London concerts at the time of his death.

Kindel said the switch took him by surprise: "Everyone was expecting it would be staged maybe in London or New York or Los Angeles," he said.

Explaining Vienna as a venue, Jermaine Jackson told "Larry King Live" on Friday that his brother loved the city and "loved castles."

After Kindel organized a Jackson remembrance held last month outside a mothballed nuclear power plant west of Vienna, Jermaine Jackson spent a few hours touring Schoenbrunn, which his brother also had visited.

"He was really fascinated and said, 'This is a really royal and ideal place for such a tribute to Michael,'" Kindel told the AP.

The majestic yellow palace and its sprawling, sculpted gardens are nothing like Los Angeles' Staples Center, where a big Jackson memorial was held last month, Kindel said.

"You can't compare it with a real historic palace which was built hundreds of years ago," he said in his downtown Vienna office.

"This is not Disneyland," Kindel said. But he added: "There's a zoo, there are parks ... I think (Michael Jackson) would like the site. It's a little bit like Neverland, but much bigger."

AP Source: Jackson doc bought anesthetic in Vegas

LAS VEGAS – A law enforcement official says Michael Jackson's personal physician purchased a powerful anesthetic from a Las Vegas pharmacy.

Federal and local authorities searched Applied Pharmacy Services on Tuesday morning. The official said agents uncovered evidence that Dr. Conrad Murray legally purchased the anesthetic propofol there.

The official spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

Jackson's death is being investigated as a manslaughter and propofol, which Jackson took as a sleep aid, is a main focus.

Murray's attorney Edward Chernoff had no immediate comment.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police and federal drug agents searched a pharmacy Tuesday as part of the investigation into Michael Jackson's death.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents and Los Angeles and Las Vegas police served a sealed search warrant and a notice of inspection around 9:20 a.m. at Applied Pharmacy Services, several miles west of the Las Vegas Strip.

"They are looking at everything that was provided by that pharmacy," including records of controlled substances, DEA spokesman Jose Martinez said.

Dr. Conrad Murray of Las Vegas, Jackson's personal physician who was with the pop star when he died in Los Angeles on June 25, is the focus of what Los Angeles police have called a manslaughter investigation. He has not been charged and police have stopped short of calling him a suspect.

Authorities previously served search warrants at Murray's Las Vegas home and his businesses in Las Vegas and Houston. It was not immediately clear whether Murray had business dealings with Applied Pharmacy.

Investigators are also looking into Jackson's interactions with at least six other doctors, court documents show.

Authorities are trying to determine to what extent medications may have contributed to Jackson's death at age 50. Murray told investigators he administered the powerful anesthetic propofol and multiple sedatives to Jackson in the hours before he died, a law enforcement official has told The Associated Press. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

Michael Flanagan, assistant special agent in charge of the DEA in Las Vegas, said the search warrant was issued "without incident" and the pharmacy staff was cooperating. He said authorities were searching for any and all paper documents and electronic records, but he declined to provide any details.

Agents could be seen wheeling at least four cases from the pharmacy building.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office announced Monday that it has completed its autopsy of Jackson but said it would not release its findings while the police investigation is ongoing.
