I was lucky enough to attend and it was great and very respectable.

I would never ever sell my program or ticket.

Surprised no one commented that Joe and Katherine did not sit next to each other.

Took Joe til the middle of We Are The World to get up on stage and join the family but he did.

Paris got to me. Been emotionally drained since.

What the hell are Parker House rolls? I'm black and I've never heard of 'em and there aren't any drunk uncles at my family funerals, thank you very much.

neither have i and i'm black too but i googled it sooooo

A Parker House roll is a shape of bread roll made by flattening the center of a ball of dough with a rolling pin so that it becomes an oval shape and then folding the oval in half. They are made with milk and are generally quite buttery, soft, and slightly sweet with a crispy shell.

Yeah, in the Bible, the number seven does represent completion, among other positive connotations. It was also Michael's favorite number:

TMZ posted a blog about this, and listed these known facts as well:

-- Michael Jackson signed his will on 7/7/02.
-- Michael Jackson's memorial was on 7/7/09 ... exactly 7 years after the will was signed.
-- Michael Jackson's two biggest hits -- "Black & White" and "Billie Jean" -- were each #1 for 7 weeks.
-- Michael Jackson's three biggest albums -- "Thriller," "Bad" and "Dangerous" -- each produced 7 top 40 hits.
-- Michael Jackson was the 7th of 9 children.
-- Michael Jackson was born in 1958 ... 19 + 58 = 77
-- Michael Jackson died on the 25th ... 2 + 5 = 7
-- Michael Jackson has 7 letters in his first and last name.

Just amazing.....

this would have been a better memorial had aeg allowed simply the family to go to the poduim one by one and express their thoughs on micheal rather than turn this in to some hollywood production.

No. No idea what you are talking about. Someone said Long Live The King and another said the children love you Michael.

the memorial was reflective of his life- and the family was allowed to go up one by one. they were given an open mic- it was too painful for some of them to speak....

Unbelievable isn't it? But what would one expect from someone who shows up on a R.I.P. memorial thread with a link to dead Michael Jackson jokes as his siggy? It's glaringly obvious this is the sort of person who is here to troll and to puposely offend, regardless of what the moderators' instructions and suggestions were in this thread.

The memorial service was wery emotional and well produced (there was no chance that his last show would be a mess). I believe the speakers were able to highlight his accomplishments and describe his legacy as it is.

The entertainment world has lost its brightest star.

R.I.P Michael!

Yall are tripping with this stuff. there's no coincidence here. you could come up with other numbers besides seven.
his birthday could actually be 23 or 6 or 5
he was the seventh child out of 9 but the 2nd to die
hedied on 6/25 which can equal 13
he has only 6 letters in his middle name.

come on y'all don't get all superstitious. confused next you gonna say Prince will die next cuz he was born in the 6th month and each of his names (first , middle, last) has 6 lettters in it and his birth year can be reduced to the number 6 and for a long time his favorite color was Purple which has 6 letters in it and....WTF? boxed this shit contagious.
