Just gave my E.T storybook record another spin... found it rather comforting to hear michaels voice in this manner. this comes closest to capturing the michael jackson I'll remember to the day I'll die. Glad I got it before it shot up in price last week.

The unfortunate thing is, in today's society where 'reality tv' and the like has made almost everything acceptable to discuss, display or toss out as public fodder, the bar of decorum and good taste has been lowered to gutter level. People eat up garbage these days, and seem to get off on gory details...even when it's about the deceased. It's sickening, imo. I feel so badly for the Jackson family, especially those kids, having to contend with this.

First of all I just want to say R.I.P. Michael Jackson...you were the best.
I have grown up with Michael and so have my parents and others in my family.
I don't think that music would be the same without him. (The same goes for James Brown) But I can't help but think about what the next generation of musicians is going to be like without the leadership of such a pioneer in music.
There will never be another, just thinking about people growing up without Michael is just mind blowing. I just want to know what you guys think about future Michael deprived generations.

It indeed was a nice memorial and not a massive spectacle like some predicted (todays Daily Mail called it something like "the tackiest memorial in history" which I thought was unfair).

Couldn't see Quincy anywhere though? And sorry, but Katherine is too old to bring up 3 kids. When she dies, those kids will be heartbroken all over again. I dont know where the kids should go as Diana is getting on aswell, but maybe one of the siblings like Jermaine or Marlon should look after them? Iam sure Katherine is great and all, but she is just too old.

I'm sorry but as beautiful and respectful a memorial as it was, the city has no business asking residents to chip in and pay for it. either the family pays or the city just eats the costs.
