The Jacksons ain't perfect (who's family is?) but they are clearly more involved w/ these kids' lives then the most of the media folks thought or wanted to believe. It's obvious that the kids know and love their father's family dearly. They know their grandparents, aunts, and uncles....let's not even mention that whole mess of cousins they have! I've seen folks like Mark Gergagos, The Mez, and people who've observed the family being asked about the Js and the kids and they've all said the family is quite close to them. It's obvious that's true and it may bug some people. 
Why begrudge these kids who have no mother a warm, if imperfect, embrace from their father's family? I don't get it. | |

Paris single handedly, in a few short words, has quite possibly salvaged the reputation of her father better than any professional PR company ever could. It's such a shame that only upon his death do we see what a warm and loving father he must have been. Paris has paid her daddy a great tribute, he would be proud. | |

Paris loves her daddy. And when you lose your parent, you want the whole world to know what a great person your parent was. And she made her father very proud today when she spoke of him and shared her feelings of love.

It was a sad, beautiful memorial.
It's amazing.. the impact this man had as an artist and humanitarian. Stevie really got to me -- especially when he started singing "They Won't Go When I Go".

Is anyone else shocked Justin Timberlake was not there? He has repeatedly called MJ his idol over the years and yet, he has strangely been a non presence throughout this. It could also be because there is still bad blood between him and Janet I'm not shocked in the least. After the way he publicly threw Janet under the bus and the repercussions she suffered, the most dignified thing he can do is be a silent, non-presence.
