The entire film for Smooth Criminal (on Moonwalker) is 10X better than Thriller. Even the Bad short film is better than Thriller. That was how Michael worked. Each film had to be more amazing than its predecessor. I've always recognized that. And yet, everyone on TV still jumps on the Thriller bandwagon.

"Smooth Criminal" was his real masterpiece. To this day the video mesmerizes me. MORE SO than Thriller ever did. In fact "Smooth Criminal" was my first REAL memory of MJ as a performer. cool "Thriller" really pales in comparison...it really does. But these bandwagon mourners keep saying "Thriller". flipped off

OMG!! Jackson memorial passes start to trickle out

By DAISY NGUYEN – 18 hours ago

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Who's getting the tickets?

City officials are preparing for huge crowds. McDonnell, the assistant police chief, would not say how many police would be on the job, but alluded to the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and the recent championship celebration for the Los Angeles Lakers at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The ceremony will not be shown on Staples' giant outdoor TV screen and there will be no funeral procession through the city.

No details were available about the actual memorial events.

Stupid move. If they want to appease the crowds, they better throw that sheit up on the big screen. I mean come ooooon.

I didn't really enjoy that article for some reason. People forget Michael's success was one-of-a-kind.

He never got this great again, this was his defining moment post-Thriller (Ghosts was cool too but you know...):

Love the camaraderie between Sean Lennon and Brandon Boyd after Michael did his little circular move.

"OK, Sean, hold this..." lol

falloff I was obsessed with this video as a kid and i'd make my brother play the guy at the pool table and i'd have ground up chalk in my hand and i'd blow it in his face. lol

STILL crazy about this video/short film i can't even put into words. I was born in 87 so I was conscious of this video some years later obviously but THIS made me a fan for life.

10 days and I'm still sad. Poor Michael. Missing him terribly. His poor kids. All this nonsense about his finances and all these whack doctors servicing him. If only someone really cared about him and looked after him properly.

Just goes to show no matter how much money and fame you have, you are not exempt from pain in this life or an early grave. sad

I don't get the continuous nonsense about the finances - first it was 300 million, then 400 million, then finally "perhaps as much as 500 million!". I just love it when people are making up abstract sums in their heads, cause you know, there's not much of a difference between 300 and 500 million, right? So you can just keep on adding a hundred million or two the reported figure without it sounding at all like an exaggerated claim, ain't that correct? Jackson had property that wasn't apparently limited to just Neverland, he had his vast song catalogs - and who knows what else he owned - therefore he would have been able to pay it off. It's not like he would have been required to pay back hundreds of millions of dollars next week. Rich people who make investments are pretty much all the time in "debt" to someone. That's how it works these days.
