speaking of ordering things...I heard that the big "Confessions" photobook has been cancelled. This is the book that contains rare, exclusive photos from the 2006 tour, taken by her manager Guy Oseary. It was supposed to be released this summer.

I've been a bit worried about this project after reading all the initial reports (Timbaland/JT, etc..) but after hearing 'Candy Store' the other week, I have high hopes. I love it!
I'm still not fussed with '4 Minutes', though ; hopefully it'll grow on me... Can't wait to hear this album!

when I first heard "Candy Shop",I thought it was extremely silly I still do,but I like it.It's a fun song that has grown on me.I like when Madonna lets loose and does something silly.Everything doesn't always have be so serious.

Mmmm I'm interested in hearing if 4 Minutes is a mess like I think it may be or if I'm going to eat my words. I did with Janet, so anything is possible. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

sti..sti...stick...stick...sticky and sweet my sugar is raw sticky and sweet my sugar is raw sticky and sweet You LOVE those lines. When I heard Madonna was working with JT/Timbaland/Pharrell/etc., my first instinct was 'Oh no!!' Even though I like them (and the work they've done with other artists) I really didn't want Madonna - at this stage of the game - to sell out to shit hop. However... Candy Store is *definitely* Madonna, through the Pharrell filter. It's still identifiably her. Which gives me high hopes for the new album.

"Candy Store" reminds me of Erotica-era Madonna. It sounds like something she would have done in 1992.The lyrics are fun and playful, and slightly erotic It's a typical Pharrell groove, but like you say,it's identifiably her.No matter who she works with, she always puts her own "stamp" on the song. And yes,I love the "sticky and sweet" hook That's catchy and fun.

One of my favorite Pharell-produced songs is "Beautiful" by Snoop."Candy Store" is very similiar, musically.I also like the minimalist sound of it...very stripped down and uncluttered. It's interesting that it's the opening song...the next track "8 Minutes" seems to be the complete opposite. It's very loud, with alot going on.

And, like you say David, I like it when Madonna lets her hair down. For every 'Live To Tell' and 'Drowned World/Substitute For Love' she releases, I am just as happy to listen to 'Hanky Panky' and 'Dear Jessie'.
It's the same with Prince. And many artists. I think people want him to reinvent the wheel sometimes. I'm not saying that he should release any old thing but, God, he's an artist and follows his instincts. Isn't that the fun part of being a fan?? Letting them take you on their journey? Fammy as it sounds, I'm happy with whatever he releases and if I like it, I like it; if I don't, I don't. Simple. That said, if I ever hear a song like 'Graffiti Bridge' ever again, that's IT. . I agree. After an artist has been making music for many years, they don't need to reinvent the wheel everytime.Besides, how can you break new ground in 2008? Nothing in today's pop music is unique.Madonna's just having fun, trying some new beats, and working with producers she's never worked with before. She's letting her hair down.

I just heard the Candy Shop song (thanks to the one who hooked me up!) and from first listen, I'm not impressed. If this is what this album is going to sound like, all I can do is go . I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

A small part of one of the remixes leaked a few weeks ago,and it sounded very promising

New picture:
Madonna's new song sounds like crap. The torrent I downloaded came with Madonna's unreleased 1992 "Rain" tapes though, which sound amazing! Stuck like glue!

But I thought her kids had to be in school! "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

It's so boring, and sad to say I think Justin makes the song more bearable. It's not even catchy. Definetly not up to expectations, well actually I guess it was because I haven't been impressed with a Madonna single since Die Another Day. I'm really hoping this is the worst song on the album.

You didn't like *any* of the 'Confessions...' singles?? And, I hate to say it, but - based on the one listen I had of '4 Minutes' - I was bored rigid, too. Maybe I need to hear it in higher quality but I really don't think that is going to change my opinion. It was like Madonna guesting on a Timbaland/JT track, not the other way around.

Where are her lovely, bouncy tits? By the way, 4 min is an ok club song, but much worse than Impressive instant or the hits of the Confessions album.

What amazes me is that Madonna couldn't demand at least something as hot as The Way I Are.
