***"Devil" is the song that was previously titled "Even The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You".

***"Spanish Lesson" is the Latin-flavored track where Madonna uses alot of Spanish phrases. It was produced by Pharrell.

***The only two songs we had not heard about before are "Incredible" and "Voices"....anyone have any info about 'em??

Ward,a Belgian journalist, also interviewed Madonna yesterday, but first he got to listen to the new album, this is what he says about it:

"The album sounds very urban/hip-hop but it is also a very good dance record. The tracks are mixed together like on 'Confessions On A Dancefloor'.

EXCLUSIVE: TRACK-BY-TRACK DESCRIPTION OF 'HARD CANDY'

Following the junket in Los Angeles yesterday and now that the album release date is not so far,DrownedMadonna can give you more details about Madonna's new album 'Hard Candy'.

***"Candy Store"---This is the exact same version which leaked months ago.

***"4 Minutes"---Very high energy, back and forth between Madonna and Justin Timberlake the whole song.Timbaland speaks throughout, but does not rap or sing on the track. The song ends with a breakdown and Timbaland's voice. The horn/trumpet sound we hear in the "Jingle Ball" clip lasts throughout the entire song. The song ends in kind of a breakdown.Madonna's final words are "tick tock tick tock tick tock" then the beat changes and the horns stop as it goes into a breakdown, with a few more "tick tocks" and Timbaland saying "uh...yeah...we only got four minutes",beats stop, now silence...."to save the world".

***"Give It To Me"---funky,dancey track, this time by Pharrell Williams, who is heard on the track.

***"Heartbeat"---has an 80s feel.Totally catchy.Think "Future Lovers",only better! The chorus reflects one of the true Madonna/pop moments on the album.

***"Miles Away"---melodic,haunting,while still catering to the target audience of this album. One of the best songs.

***"She's Not Me"---hip-hop,cool,fresh,sexy and EDGY.Madonna sings to a partner about another girl and how this girl just can't measure up to Madonna. She tells him "she can love you in the shower" but "she doesn't have my name".

***"Incredible"---a sleeper track. This one is subtle at first, but its groovy beats will make it grow into a fan favorite.

***"The Beat Goes On"---Completely different than the leaked version.Less melody and more beat-driven than the demo that was leaked.Kanye West raps a rather long verse at the end.

***"Dance Tonight"---This is a fun one.Totally Old School.Madonna and Justin duet.Simple wood block beat throughout."Inspirational" Hey You-ish bits in the chorus about not needing to be rich, famous and beautiful to be understood, with dance/club driven verses and bridge.

***"Spanish Lesson"---in this filler Madonna speaks in various languages and keeps with the urban theme.

***"Devil"---previously known to fans as "Even The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You",it's neither a ballad nor a dance song.Could more fittingly be considered the "Isaac" of this album.Fate, angels, stars, disguises and lies make up this cool, dark track that will have you "comin back for me",as one lyric goes.

***"Voices"---Madonna stays with her recent pattern of saving the more wordy, reflective songs for her last tracks.Probably the most lyrically deep song on the album, the song poses a range of trippy questions to the listener/subject and it has a bit of a slower tempo while still keeping a hot hip-hop beat. This is the song that Madonna describes as "a psychological mind fuck".

Even more info about the songs. Sourced from m-tribe.

Candy Store: Yes, the same Madonna/Pharrell production that suddenly leaked on the net last Summer, and did even got spins on the radio around the world since then. Candy Store is probably the song even the fans who usually remain spoiler-free when a new Madonna record comes out heard about. "You'll have an hard time telling if the first one is any different from the version you already heard" - an insider source told us about the song. The only thing that changed somehow was the song's name - as fans have always been calling it "Candy Shop".

4 Minutes: Of the lot of songs produced by Timbaland and Justin Timbelake that M-Tribe reported about shortly after they had their final mixing in Hit Studios Miami in November, 4 Minutes is possibly the one with a stronger "classic" Timbaland vibe. The song has an instantly catchy vibe, with percussion layers and hypnotic synthetized pads. While in other tracks of the album Justin can be heard on backing vocals, 4 Minutes is actually a duet as in this song's verse Madonna and Justin basically sing one line each or better answer one to another on a back and forth basis.

Give It 2 Me: A song produced by Pharrell Williams, a very catchy uptempo track that reminds of early Madonna tracks such as "Love on the run". Fans who were worried that this album would be too hip-hop were happy to learn that it's very 80's in its structure and it's pure Madonna. The "Give It 2 Me" phrase has nothing to do with a supposed "sexual content" as rumoured on a few Madonna forums, but it's said in the sense of "I'll handle the situation for you". Pharrell's also singing backing vocals on part of the second verse and Madonna reprises a couple of lyrics from "The Beat Goes On". The break is very strange, the song basically stops suddenly while Madonna says "Don't Stop It" the male voice says "to the left, to the right". This song is currently considered as the second single release.

Heartbeat: The album's 4th track, is the first moment of quiet after a three track sequence of dance stompers. Not exactly slow but rather paced down, the song is another production by Pharrell, who can be heard on the track with whispers and brief interstitials, while Madonna sings the lead voice in the verse and the backing vocals as well in the chorus. The "see my booty get down" part is already set to be a hook.

Miles Away: Another Timbaland/Timberlake production, that some consider the best of the whole bunch. A hit written all over it and classic Madonna. Full of acoustic guitars, beautiful uptempo, the song structure may recall "Love Profusion" but it's much better. A bit of sadness in the lyrics, talking about a relationship that is at its best when the two lovers are thousands miles apart.

She's Not Me: A unique song, possibly the best of the album, certainly Madonna at her best. "Better to listen to it rather to talk about it. You could even say it's two songs in one, and you'll figure out why when the record hits the stores", we've been told. The song has different sound from the rest of the album and it's the one most similar to the style of Mirwais even if it's produced by Pharrell

Incredible. A recent addiction to the final album tracklisting, Incredible is a rather different song - the longest in the album, running over six minutes. Starts as a bare-naked track and reportedly goes on between a series of breaks ending up being quite dense and somehow loud and noisy.

Beat Goes On: Somehow the second track from the Pharrell recording sessions that leaked on the net on Summer 2007 did not make the album cut as the "new" Beat Goes On is a completely different song, and sounds nothing like the version some of you might have heard. It is much faster, a classic dance track and one of the strongest takes on the record, and it does even feature a special guest. While Madonna was putting the finishing touches to her new albumat RecordPlant studios in Los Angeles, Kanye West was working on the new Michael Jackson record. Pharrell invited Kanye in the room and Madonna came up with an idea for Kanye to rap on one of her songs on the spot... and thanks to this Beat Goes On got a very catchy rap insert courtesy of "Mr. West" towards the end.

Dance Tonight: A song that sounds like the funkiest song of the lot. You could say it's a dance track from the beginning to the end - there's dance in the title, dance in the theme, dance in the lyrics, and dance in the instrumentation. It has a captivating late 70's - early 80's disco sound - fingered bass, clĂ ps, triangle - recalling songs that made the history of dance as we know it and groups like Kool & The Gang, Skyy, Delegation, even a bit of the early Michael Jackson and huge references to the signature sound of Narada Michael Walden and to the origins of disco-rappping.

Spanish Lesson: Many years after recording "Who's That Girl" and the full Spanish versions of her hits "You'll See" (Veras) and "What it feels like for a girl" (Lo que Siente La Mujer), Madonna is digging back her love for Latin culture as she will be singing again phrases in Spanish in one of her new songs. In this track the Queen Of Pop is going to give Spanish lessons, explaining the English meaning of Spanish phrases such as "te quiero" (I Love you), "callate" (shut up), "besame" (kiss me), and many more. Spanish guitars are of course also present in the song, produced by Pharrel with a nice urban feel.

Devil: Also known by fans only as "Even the devil wouldn't recognise you" this amazing ballad will instantly remind you of Justin's "Cry Me A River" but also of Madonna's "Power of Good-bye" also including a short piano interlude between verses and will instanly hook you up. "Oh, and remember to have your umbrellas ready", we've also been told.

Voices: Produced by Timbaland and Timberlake, and featuring a strings pad that goes along the entire song making the verse and the awesome chorus flow seamlessly. Simply, the perfect song to end the album. Or maybe not...

A few months ago,it was rumored that Madonna's album would feature a song called "Irresistible",produced by Swizz Beatz.I heard that Warners really liked this song and wanted it to be a single.I wonder if this is the same song that is now called "Incredible"...perhaps someone just got the title wrong?

Apparently, when planning this project,Madonna went to several other producers besides Timbaland and Pharrell.Last summer,Swizz Beatz confirmed that he was working on songs with Madonna.I bet there are a ton of outtakes from this album.

How can this album still be 2 months away.....its killing me. Im loving the descriptions of the new tracks although am a little bummed out Candy Store is the leaked version. Im hoping that was unmixed and will have more oomph on the record - seems a strange opener too. The mention of horns on 4 minutes really makes me wish she'd gone all out and slapped horns all over this record.....

Im only hearing good stuff so far, albeit from bias source, but 4 minutes is getting thumbs up from all over.....even if the worst to be said is that its Justin feat. Madonna. From the one min LQ clip Ive heard its been stuck in my head for ages so Im totally hyped over that.

Im glad shes doing a Dazed & Confused cover - i love that magazine - although we all know the Vanity fair cover will be the real shit - Im so hoping she gets those 50 Y.O. titties out - thats the M we all know and love. Steven Meisel brings out the be(a)st in her.

Still not loving those chicken fillets she's had put in her face though - get rid madge you looked fine with just the botox & eye lift.

I know exactly what Madonna and Warners are doing. They're delaying this album to take advantage of her March 10 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That's why the single and video won't be released until late March, even though it's ready to go now. It's a smart strategy but it's pissing me off, lol.I can't wait any longer! I'm very impatient.

I guess Madonna is really impressed with this song. Not only did she NOT have Pharrell re-work it in any way,but she actually wanted it to be the first single.I think it's a fitting opener....the lyrics seem to let you know what's in store. It's an introduction to all the tasty "flavors" that await you.I can't wait to bump this jam in my car.

"4 Minutes" is getting a positive buzz from all over.I have a friend who works for a major US radio station in a big city,he's heard the track and says they can't wait to play it.Quite possibly,it could become her biggest US hit in awhile, based on all the hype and the Timabaland/Justin Timberlake connection.

For some reason in Japan, it's cheaper to buy the import than the domestic cd, so they put a bonus track on to make people buy the domestic one.

I agree with you, I think it's a fantastic opener, can't wait to put on the CD in exactly two months and hear this song with 11 new ones!

Anyway, apart from some annoying fans who hate the song and already saying they'd start the record with track 2, the buzz of the new album is VERY positive!!!
