The arguement started with her cliches and all the shit she says in interviews now. I'm not going to argue with that and even said the last time Madonna was cool and converstational was around BS (somoene posted an interview she did during the making of "Human Nature"...maybe here?). THEN, when he realized he had people's attention, he went into that Rene /Janet bullshit and started to give Madonna's brother in law all the credit in the world for co-writing one of her decent hits! I'm sure we were going to get into "Sean Penn wrote all of the songs from the "Who's that Girl" soundtrack except for "Can't Stop" cause that is shit. He just came here to get attention becuase apparently the Mariah Carey thead is boring as hell!

She is constantly touring, making new music that she wants to make, and is still releasing albums. Sales mean jack shit to me. They are nothing but a bragging point for fans of the artist. They paralyze some artists (such as Michael Jackson) because there is always that pressure to top what has come before (and not in the artistic sense). I have a lot more respect for artists like Cyndi who realize their own artistic potential regardless of their sales than for an artist like Mariah who is clearly capable of accomplishing much more, but is now nothing more than a slave to her own sales. Success these days is largely bought and paid for, anyway.

She tours a lot, but it's primarily her older stuff. I do think her lack of sales has a lot to do with the fact she doesn't release new stuff very often.
Madonna frequently releases new stuff and her tours are not just singing all her old hits over and over again.
