Ironically they sent Feedback back for adds last week, and it is already #42 on that chart with a +346 spin bullet. It's going to re-enter the Top 40 (its original peak was #29). The track isn't dead yet.

I finally heard "4 Minutes" on teh radio. It played on the dance channel like I expected but I think it is accessibe enough for Top 40. What pisses me off is that they only played the 3 minute version that seems to be missing a whole lot! I heard a fuller version (which also seems to be missing a chunk). The dance channel sometimes plays nine minutes mixes off stuff (same for the disco channel which will sometimes break out 10 min+ 12" tracks). The edit doesn't do the song justice. Actually, most of her singles that are cut down for radio end up taking out good stuff.

I don't mean to attack, but I don't get what you're saying. Do you mean that venue would be booked for something else on those days (it's where the Pistons play and considering she tours in the summer, that is an overlap....Or does Basketball usually end early summer, like Hockey?).

I mean, the way she tours and considering she ALWAYS plays neighboring Chicago and Canada (are these bigger markets?), it almost seems like she is going out of her way. I've heard it said the first time she avoided Detroit was because they couldn't set up her stage show at the Palace....a possibility but it happened again?

Re-Invention Tour 2004---she did three shows in my area and I went to all three
Confessions Tour 2006---she did two shows in my area and I went to both

Madonna has this habit which is a classic symptom of phoniness. Both in interviews and in lyrics she has a habit of speaking in stock phrases as if she invented them herself. In this song you've got "Always the bridesmaid, never the bride", in Four Minutes you had "the road to hell is paved with good intentions". We've also had "To know you is to love you", "Nothing is what it seems", etc. In interviews she does it all the time. It's like she actually thinks these cliches sound impressive and original. I think if she ever had an original thought it would give her a heart attack.

Now that Janet WACKson has given up songwriting Madonna is truly the weakest lyricist in the business.
