The mix and sound on the live gig is perfect... even have the crowd sounds (which I prefer). Listen 2 Sonny's bass!! Lawd. Theives in the Temple and Thunder were big standouts, but the whole thing is tight as a drum head on a piccolo snare!

Just listening to the D&P podcast EP1 - Bit dissapointed that 'Somehting Funky' is a different version! Makes sense as the version I know namechecks Levi Seacer on bass - he had moved to guitar during this era I believe?

so far I have heard" Darkside"which sounds like Pretzelbodylogic and "Lauriann".both very nice !Darkside is more of a demo with Prince talking a lot like on Power Fantastic from the SOTT Super Deluxe

im gonna sound like a TOTAL prince fan cornball but the best thing this SDE could do for me at this point is provide alternate takes of songs without rapping on it (why no version of daddy pop without the rap?). thats no dis to tony m, its just that honestly, when i listen to prince, i wanna hear prince, i dont really wanna hear too much of any other vocalist. and tony has such a big powerful voice, it gets in the way for me. it also doesnt gel with prince (tony being v macho, prince being much more fey).

Agree on Thunder. I’ve never been a big lover of the album version but this version here has new dimensions with Rosie and Sonny’s bass high in the mix. . The Sacrifice Of Victor is the highlight for me. It has a bit of everything. . The sound in general is popping and amazing. Feels like you’re right there in the club

DEFINITELY Sacrifice of Victor is Outstanding.. I actually do not love the album version but this is nuts
