Personally I don't think any of the above is true, but that's what is being talked about.

Someone on the other site who heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend. She’s feeling something out so she can swoop in and go rat on a FB Page is what I hear. Apparently done that before.

Yes, it sounds like she has done that to several sites. So glad we don't have that over here anymore. Surprised she's not banned from every site. The snitch.

I just saw this on Apollonia's Instagram. It is interesting how both she and Manuela have eluded to secrets being kept surrounding all of this. https://www.instagram.com...xkv1edbwgy

Yeah well, she's been saying this for 2 years, but has still stayed silent. Again, just fueling the flames to keep the fans in emotional turmoil.

I hold no stock in anything she has to say. She's just as bad as the rest of them especially if she knows what happened and has stayed silent.

Exactly. This is like Tyka when she said she knows the truth but she's gonna write about in her book. And I remember LR giving me shit for saying that the only thing she's interested in is money. If you know what happened, JUST SAY IT. And it is so funny, Apples calls people vultures and what is she doing when she's writing a book? We all know this is going to be about her and him ( I mean, she can write a book it's her story with him, I don't mind them writing books, really, I don't give a shit) but don't call others out and then do the same. lol

Apples, you are a vulture too, you keep saying that stuff for 2 years now, but you never said what happened. And didn't she also say the truth will come out in her book as well? neutral .

Tyka had the chance to say it all in that Radio Interview, it was live, there was no one who could've twisted her words, but she said it's going to be in her book. She said that again. And still some people believed her crap, I may not be the smartest person on earth but even I know a money grabber when I see one. And Tyka is one.

Seriously the people who know anything should just come out and tell it. Do you know it was suicide? Then go ahead and say it. Do you know who bought them pills for him and can you actually back it up? Then just say it! Don't half ass it and then cash in. That's disgusting and gives us the impression that they never loved Prince.

Yep. As always - follow the money.

Well, if we are following money, aren't the lawyers, the bank that runs the estate and WB the only entities or groups of people really raking in the dough right now as far as we know for sure. The family had limited access when he was alive. Maybe Tyka, but even she had limited access when he was alive based entirely on his terms. Kirk is making money with the NPG but I imagine he might not be making more money than he did when Prince was alive. Is Phaedra making a lot of money now..I don't know--could be but once Prince died, her job at running things went away (unless she got a pay-off by WB to off the man). His assistant vanished so I don't know what her financial are like now.. I guess we would have to see these folks' financials to know for sure. In other words, following the money (unless its WB, lawyers or the bank running the estate) is a bit difficult right now. My understanding is that albums don't make the money they used to. In other words, streaming his music on spotify is not a big money making endeavor. The increased sales of his back catalogue from the 80's probably only went back into paying estate taxes (which are huge -- the inheritance tax is enormous) , upkeep of Paisley park, the preservation of his music and paying his lawyers. When P was alive, the money was in the touring/concerts..which is partly, I suspect, why he kept at it so long. He is not around to do that anymore. I imagine the NPG and Revolution are makng some money but I doubt they put up the numbers Prince did. He would get paid 1 million dollars just to play one night for some rich dude in St. Barts and even that money, I suspect, went back into Paisley Park upkeep and paying his own expenses and house payments in Turks and Caico's. The inheritance has be burdensome.

I am not saying they aren't trying to get some money or that they aren't vultures. I am talking about whether they are truely benefitting enough to murder someone over it. I don't know because I don't know how much they are truely taking in. Warner Brother and lawyers seem to have the most to gain however because they have the least expenses and more direct access to enormous amounts of money. Prince used to front the bill for his sister to some extent when he was alive. Now that he is gone and the money is going into paying the bills, the enormous inheritance taxes, and maintaining Paisley, would a book about Prince and charging folks for selfies really put her in the pink to the extent people are insinutating. And why even bother doing those things, if all you had to do was murder your brother and watch the cash come flowing in. Like I said, we don't have access to these people's financials to know for sure.

So Sheila E and Mayte Garcia were involved in a murder conspiracy as well? I suspect that once P died, the opportunties came flowing in and people being weak and greedy justified the exploitation. I just don't think it was some conspiracy concocted while he was alive--at least not by everyone. I am more inclined to believe WB conspiracies, but even those are a bit far-fetched, because Prince's music doesn't make Beyonce/Jay-Z money. WB has bigger stars on their docket. When rich drug-addicted stars die, we don't always assume murder conspiracy do we? Because almost every one of them have their vultures who come out of the woodwork after they die. Was Elvis murdered too? Did MJ's family conspire with Dr. Fuckface to poison their brother so they could exploit their connection to him after he died? I am not a fan of conspiracy theories sorry.

I thought Wendy and Lisa had rewarding and challenging careers. Why put your "life" on hold to spend 2+ years playing Prince's music from the 80's? I thought they had moved on. I can see playing several gigs but 2+ years?

Didn't Tyka say that Prince knew he was terminal (with I don't know what) and "knew for 2 years that he was gonna die"? I know that doesn't exclude the possibility of suicide but I take everything she says with a grain of salt. Friends of mine who visited PP or even applied for jobs and who have met her said that she charges fans 200 - 300 dollars for photos with her. That tells me a lot about her credibility and integrity. Like pupa1 said, Tyka wasn't around and not important in his world.

Yeah, I don't put a lot of stock in it. If that were they case then why are they suing Walgreens and the hospital?

Charging money to take a pic with her? eek

When I was at PP in Oct 2016, the people I was in line with
Were not being charged for photos.

Murder and death by people deliberately letting it happen (intentional inaction/enabling) are basically the same thing.

The thing is that a couple of people have agreed with ThatWhiteDude's post here before I did and yet you go for me. Again. That's why I ask.

Secondly, nobody here can know what and how they are benefitting, including you. And it isn't the point. The point is that they are trying. They try to sell whatever they can and that has nothing to do with the estate. They are trying to cash in on Prince's death, heck, even the housekeeper from Paris is auctioning off her things NOW. Why now, why not when he was alive? Why were those things so "dear" to her all those years and now suddenly she doesn't want them anymore? Come on.

THAT is vulture behaviour. Just like taking money for selfies, just like playing on fans' emotions by insinuating and withholding information, just like selling T-Shirts, classes or whatever. All in HIS name.

There is nothing even to debate there.

I see your point. But I see it a bit differently. I don't care if the estate or his family or his friends or his less than geniune "friends" make money of him now. I only care that they do it with respect for his work, his privacy, his reputation , his humanity, and the truth.. But before money can be made, his legacy should come first. He fought for the rights of living and breathing artists who could directly be hurt by things like bootlegs and being ripped off. Its legacy building time now (and his music should be curated with thought but still accessible) and it needs to be done with the right motives. Selling his socks or embarassing notes taints his reputation and turns him into an entity (and at worst a joke) rather than a once-living, breathing, creative, and feeling individual. It dehumanizes a man who once suffered, struggled, rejoiced and shined. But making sure his music is well curated and part of the public domain as much as possible without damaging his reputation is what should matter over all..the money making endeavors should be an after thought at this point. (putting out a scrap or rough draft of a song and calling it a masterpiece can be harmful when it leads newbies to assume he was overated).

Yes, thank you peggy. It's ridiculous. Debating just for the sake of it. I've noticed this in so many threads now, that poster went after so many of my posts, even trying to speak for my personal experiences. And this "extremely caucasian" remark about Quincy Jones' women in one of their posts still doesn't sit well with me. It made me cringe and it smells like racism.

[Edited 8/22/18 20:36pm]

Huh? I don't think we are on the same track here. Who said that they murdered him? I'm saying they are vultures. IMO. They are all coming out of the woodwork, hair dressers, ex's, ex lovers, bandmembers, ex band members, family, etc.

Exactly. Totally missing the point here.

Are you joking or just deliberately trying to debate everything I post? Of course the vultures are about money. When Tyka even charges fans for selfies with her, please. SkipperLove said:

Yes, thank you peggy. It's ridiculous. Debating just for the sake of it. I've noticed this in so many threads now, that poster went after so many of my posts, even trying to speak for my personal experiences. And this "extremely caucasian" remark about Quincy Jones' women in one of their posts still doesn't sit well with me. It made me cringe and it smells like racism.

It's probably just because you had the pleasure of knowing Prince. Alot of female Prince fans can be very nasty towards any women who got to know him and got his attention. I'm not speaking of anyone specific either but i have noticed the singling out of your posts. It is very sad. Keep your head up Cat.

Of course you do lol Sorry, couldn't resist. But it's a pattern by now.

I wasn't attacking you; something in your post just triggered a reaction that was probably a reaction to all that came before your post. Don't take it personally. Back to what you were saying, yes, people can be shitty and sleazy. But all people are masses of contradictions and they love justifying their actions to themselves. When he was alive, no one wanted that stuff and if they sold it, he might find out and be either offended, pissed or hurt. Now that he is gone, there is a market for it. Maybe, those folks justify their actions in their own minds by saying that now that fans want to preserve his legacy, this stuff will be in good hands and they don't need to own it anymore like museum pieces in their homes. . They can share it and make a little money. I can't imagine people assumed that if they kept his items long enough he would die prematurely and then they could make some cash. His death was unexpected even to those enablers around him (a village worth of fentanyl probably wasn't anticipated). Its like when Neal Karlan joked before Prince died that he was keeping his Prince possessions because they would be worth a lot after he died. In same interview, he took it back and said that he wished Prince a long life and that he was just joking.. Then Prince died and he felt awful and stated that he never anticipated that PRince would die. I don't think he ever thought he would have an occasion to sell it. And far as I know, he has not sold that stuff yet. Hopefully, he never will. Others may have never considered Prince would die young or not outlive rhem. They kept the stuff so they could show off to others or because they were proud of their experiences. Then P dies and they are stuck with sad relics of the past that don't necessarily bring joy anymore... I am guessing on people's emotions. But I think people are generally very complicated psychologically and sleazy behavior now doesn't necessarily indicate or encapsulate their entire feelings where Prince was concerned.

SkipperLove said:

Thank you, Krystal. I appreciate it. And I try, believe me. But sometimes it's really difficult and I did take a break from everything for months. But I have feelings too and all the fuckery that's going on triggers my emotions too. To me this is not just a case, to me this is about someone who had a huge impact on me, someone I have memories of in life. And all this useless debating things that none of those in question have even witnessed, all the defending of people in his life they don't even know, all this coming to me and on the one hand asking me to spill the most intimate things while on the other hand then come and attack me for either not giving them what they want or for "disrespecting" him for talking, up to the notion that they seriously think they can dictate me how, when, where and what I share. And all this time I have to listen to "you were so lucky" - while they don't even know a thing about my life or that episode of it. Believe me, that pleasure is very often a curse by now. Nothing is only black or white and Prince wasn't only sunshine too. I had to move on at some point. And now we're sitting here talking about his death, that is all a bit much. That's why I don't understand why some feel the need to make things more complicated and hurtful than they already are.

I am not saying you did. These theories are starting to blend together. But the common thought on this thread is that at best no one around hm cared whether he lived or died and at worst, some people even tried to facilitate his death. . A couple people on this thread have stated that he was murdered. Some have said that folks just waited around for him to die (almost hoping it) so that they could exploit him. I hope that the situation was more complicated and human than that. I will argue that probably it was..My thoughts are that in most cases, Prince (although extremely vulnerable emotionally and physically) held all the power for his own destruction and that it would take a bulldozer to knock down his walls. I theorize that most folks felt powerless to help him, that they knew he had some kind of problem with pills, but didn't know the specifics enough to see eminent death. I theorize that any of us would struggle in the situation because helping a secretive enigma with pain issues, false pride, evasiveness, and little options other than music to give him a reason to live would not be easy. Mistakes were made. People could have done better and I imagine there a lot of regrets from most. But I don't think people were quite as heartless as some have theorized on this thread despite some of their sleazy ill-adviced behavior since his death.

Murder and death by people deliberately letting it happen (intentional inaction/enabling) are basically the same thing.

I was not being racist. I am white. I said extremely caucasian because Prince tended to date light-skinned girls but they weren't all Scandnavian types..unlike most of Quincy's girlfriends. Prince dated different races but seemed to have a slight preference for women who looked like himself and/or his mother. Q dated girls like Natassja Kinski constantly. I am not judging white women or biracial women or women of mixed heritage. I am judging Q for being a bit of a douche. There is nothing wrong with a black man dating a white woman but Q's habits where lovers were concerned seemed a bit dismissive of any women of color.
