This is ridiculous. Prince's old albums sound like shit by today's standards. He's not going to get what he wants. He has no heirs and he's freaking rich. What does he want? Probably some deal no other artist can get. I wish he'd just give in or reasonably compromise with Warners for his fan's sake. |

You bring up a good point.Many of his longtime fans are now in their 40s and 50s.There will come a time when we won't care about things like remasters and reissues.We will be too old to enjoy 'em  I also feel that Prince has missed this boat.The time to remaster his catalog was in the 90s when alot of people were still actually paying for music.The sales would have been higher.
I already don't care.....I'm like Rodeo, I ain't about to buy a bunch of music I already own. Whatever deal he can or can't negotiate is his problem, not mine. He could have kept that news to himself.
But just like the famz, Prince ain't getting no younger either, despite time being a trick.  Those caregivers don't come cheap even if they just give him sponge baths and feed him applesauce through a straw.
WB ain't go no retirement plan.

If the Prince man had properly maintained his fanbase then there would have been less of a 'discussion'.
With this I mean: proper albums, proper treatment of fans, etc.
