I was wondering if these new Prince albums will be in a wrecka stow or not? I've been looking and only seen it ordered via online. I'm hoping to purchase them at a store, for I can listen to them on my birthday (Sept 30th), but if it's online only, then I guess I gotta go with amazon.com.

They don't have Wreka Stow's anymo....

Really? I know of three within 10 miles of where I live. Just sayin'

ok...I just pre ordered these two albums from amazon, because I'm not seeing any clue they're gonna be sold in a record store (wrecka stow). The minor bummer is I will get them 2-3 days after my birthday though. As long as I'm getting them, so be it.

There's no rush to pre-order but at least amazon don't charge until they dispatch so you can cancel if the record store release looks more likely.

Thanks. I see amazon just reduced the price for both albums to $11.88 each. (also tax free). I may just go with amazon.

haven't you tried ordering them from their respective official sites?

usually when you order the vinyl or the cd, you get the mp3's for

the albums on the day of release, while you wait for the physical

album to be delivered to your house. that way you'd still have the

music on your birthday smile

RODSERLING

I bet the video of Funknroll won't be ready for the release of the album. It is not even shot yet, two weeks before the release razz Unbelievable, what a lack of professionalism from both parts. Everybody in the industry must be laughing, it's like the joke of the year.

No single means no sales from the general audience. Then, Prince will be angry and will say that it's the entire fault of WB, and the reeditions things will never see the dawn, or will be amputed from what it would have been in the first place.

Anyone else think the artwork they were using last year would have been a much better album cover for Plectrumelectrum?

I really like the promo artwork I've been seeing for Art Official Age. I want that font so bad, omg. Hoping for some merch with some of those pics, too. Shirts, posters, cups...come onnnnnnn. The songs that are out are kinda growing on me, though. It's kinda been hit or miss with what's been released. Still, can't want to have everything in once place, so I can update my iPod and annoy the hell outta my family with poor singing. I get the feeling Clouds will be the first song I annoy them with. lol

I ordered a CD straight from the site, but used the magic of iTunes for TEG's album.

I ain't been on the .org in a month o' Sundays. Lemme dust off my keyboard, baby!

Can't figure out why a boring track like Breakfast Can Wait is on the album, but a superior track like Groovy Potential is lacking.

There might be some kind of strategy, plan, vision behind this, or perhaps it is truely a decision of the moment.

I know it is all a matter of taste. But trully, it is a struggle to listen to Breakfast to the end.

The dreamy Groovy Potential with the build up to climax, and sudden musical change of the last 30 seconds...the potential of an extended jam are making it one of the best songs in the last 2 years he released.

OMG, I'm so freakin' excited!!! biggrin 4 years of going without any new releases from Prince, & my gnawing hunger is soon to be satiated with a double serving of brand-new albums! ^_^ Ooh-hoo-hoo, this is gonna be sooooo awesome! biggrin

And, coincidentally, my birthday's less than a couple of weeks after the albums' release date, so they will definitely be put on my present list! ^_^ Consider "Art Official Age" & "Plectrum Electrum" preordered! cool

I've heard talk about promotion. Huh? Where? Call me old school, but a single getting radio airplay or a current tour are the best ways to draw attention to a new album. I don't see either. Still looking forward to it, myself, though.

If you perceive a phone (!) in the same way as a Prince album then -either way- something is wrong.

The prince thing still allows us certain freedoms.

I also wish that Groovy Potential was on the album. Particularly as Clouds and Breakfast have the same groove. I prefer Clouds. I'm excited to see how it will all fit together as a cohesive album - Breakfast follows U Know very nicely.
