Maybe this is also explained by his 'isolation' in Paisley Park and the lack of great engineers like Peggy McCreary. His 'sound' just went 'standard' and to polished. However, name me 1 other artist who was on the forefront for almost 10 years (from Dirty Mind unto Lovesexy).....???? But what if Prince would have had a good xtc trip and he would have stayed in the "electronic" world.....?? Prince meets Daft Punk...???

Warners would have NEVER let Prince release another double album so soon after SOTT.
