Hi again!

Condorcet Album Poll: Love Symbol

This is the next installment in a series of polls ranking the songs on each album officially released by Prince or O+>. The goal is to determine which tracks should be included in a final poll to determine the overall top 25 Prince songs in the opinion of his fans.

For those of you who haven’t been following the polls, these are different than the usual “best song” threads in that they combine the preferences of all the voters into an overall list.

I am going through these in the same order that they were ranked in the earlier poll of the best Prince albums. Next up is Love Symbol, ranked #10 in that poll.

This time there are 16 songs to rank. I have excluded the segues, so you won't have to decide which one is worse! wink You're sure to have an opinion on these songs, so please vote!

Please don’t discuss the preliminary results or campaign for your favorite song(s) until the poll is closed. I plan to close the poll on Saturday, but I may close it early if the preliminary results are discussed on this site. This is to make sure the poll is as accurate as possible.

UltraLash	I don't know if the poll is recording votes correctly. The current #1 song has a note that says it is "not defeated in any contest vs. another choice," yet I voted for a different song for #1. Shouldn't that be noted? EDIT: Or maybe I don't know what these notes mean. Maybe AFTER it's been voted #1, nothing has unseated it? [Edited 7/21/11 9:41am]

The message "not defeated in any contest vs. another choice" doesn't mean that all people have voted that song as their favorite; it means that, after combining the preferences of all voters into an overall list, that song beats all the others.

I've noticed some more "mistakes" in the song titles: "You" instead of "U" and "I" instead of "Eye". That's my fault, but I don't know how to edit. Hope Prince forgives me.

V10LETBLUES	Voted. Not my favorite by a long shot, but the only song I do like, I love with a passion. And I did not rank it at 7
