The point of my earlier comment is that an accomplished young woman with a notable career is now being "dressed" by her (?) boyfriend (?) in a matchy outfit and led around by the hand to events where she's photographed and mistakenly identified as one of his previous ladies, plus certain fans speak of her as if she's a malleable non-personaltiy who Prince tells what to wear, what to say in interviews, etc etc - which is pretty much just like how it went with the many other women who were in her place before her. Even looking at these pictures, somebody could have told me that was Mani and I wouldn't have disputed it at first glance. Or one of those Twinzzzzzzz. He has a certain look he likes on women and he "dresses" his (?) girfriend/s (?) to fit that mold, and Misty sure has got the look now.

It's pretty obvious that he has a lot to do with how the women dress considering most of them have more or less the same style and outfits when they are out with him. And then they look completely different pre- and post Prince. I doubt Misty is going to let herself be controlled that way, but you never know. I wish Prince wouldn't be so into matching outfits and more into letting his woman express herself however she wants. But it's not like they are some brainless mannequins...

My personal thoughts about Misty potentially letting herself get the Prince Girlfriend Makeover and Treatment is hardly the same as you posting an inflammatory crack about people "hating on" her because she's African-American. You have seen threads on this site get derailed and totally ruined because of the race issue, particularly in regards to Prince's romantic life. Yeah, you get what I'm saying. I'm certainly not trying to be insulting to Misty with my remarks, I just think it'd be too bad if she allowed herself to become indistinguishable from the rest of Prince's now cast-off ladies. I hope you're right that she won't do that because she's got lots going for her and she should celebrate what makes her uniquely MISTY, and not mold herself into a the acceptable shape that makes her MISTY-PRINCE'S NEW GIRLFRIEND.

I ain't heard nothin and I don't debate that she doesn't have some black mixed in her heritage, but she I also know she's mixed with other things as well. When Tavis kept saying african american 6 or 7 times, and I still don't know why he had to do that, she was looking like Mariah Carey or Jennifer Beals and wanted to correct him quickly, but she held back.

It's the matching outfits concept that disturbs me. Why must they match like that? Why does he insist on color-coordinating or somehow matching his outfits with whomever he's currently involved with? That might've been cute or kind of sweet if it was with one particular relationship, but when it becomes a running requirement throughout numerous relationships, it's weird and smells like a control issue or of somebody not placing the individual before a pre-conceived notion of what constitutes a relationship. For instance, if you began dating someone and whenever you went to a formal function as a couple, your significant other said they wanted your outfits to match (and in a very precise, already thought-out way in terms of color or style or whatever) and you KNEW this person did that very same thing with at least 4 other previous romantic partners, that wouldn't bug you at all? Not even a little? :lo: Cuz it would bother me.
