I hope he doesn't read this crap either!! He doesn't deserve to hear this kind of bs, he needs to hear support and love, so he will feel inspired to keep going. Wonder why he hasn't announced US tour dates yet? Wonder why he's been pulling his music and not opening up. When he does open up and share himself thru his music or interviews, he gets criticized! My heart bleeds for this man, he really gets the short end of the stick always. He is an AMAZING man with so much talent and he makes the best music I've ever heard. Really with his music, I have no need to listen to anyone else, Prince satisfies all my musical needs since he covers so many genres. Hopefully he will listen to all the love and compliments that his real fans give him and continues to bless the world with his music and live shows. The music world would/will be lost without him!! I visit the org everyday except perhaps on the weekend where I'm not online at all, unless I checkin' something out on my iPhone. Back to the point, do not allow people and their version of the 'Truth' discourage you from coming to prince.org or any other enthusiast site, that's just giving in.

I remember back to when I first joined the org. That's back when P left the WB and Love4oneanother.com and prince.org were the only sites I knew about and there were A LOT of fan forums and newsletters out then and I do not remember people having a lot to say then but, let's keep in mind that the journey from then to now has been pretty bumpy.

Some people take personally what P has done with his music and likeness and what not.

'No More Candy 4 U' comes to mind with a discussion a friend and I had recently.

I understand what your saying. But people on this site go too far with tearing Prince apart. I can see them criticizing his music. But his hair, his face , his clothes, his woman, his friendship with Larry & conversion to JW,his band,his make up,his no make up,his money, his cover story interviews with black magazines. Its like they want him to fail & age.

Yes I do take it personally & always will. Because I been there since almost the beginning & he has been a part of my life. His music has been the soundtrack to my life. I feel like when U put him down your putting me down also. They never talk about the good things he has done. Even in the 2000's. He has made strides in the music Industry like no other.

Those were the people who needed that so called slap. Especially if you took it that way. If you feel 'No More Candy 4 U' was directed at you, then that's why he made it, so you'd feel that way. I can honestly say 'I Hate U' is exactly how I feel when I think of the org. Put that song on repeat and you'll know what I'm talking about ...

Great analogies! And thanks for that pep talk b/c I had really thought about leaving too. I mean I love and adore Prince and I don't like everything he does, but I do my best to keep from personally attacking him because I do love him and would never want him to look at this site and feel any worse than he may already. I do continue to post because I hope he does look at this site and see the fans that really do love him so he is inspired to keep going. Prince has given the world so much for the last 32yrs, I don't know where I'd be or what would be on my ipod if it weren't for Prince, since he accounts to about 80% of the music that I listen to daily. Prince is human and has done what he felt was best for him, maybe we don't like it or agree with it, but when you love someone, you support their decisions. I have a private blog that ONLY diehard Prince fans are allowed to post on. Because I don't want to hear any of the crap!! If anyone does criticize him, I know it's done with love. A majority of the negative posts on here convey nothing but hatred. The one that gets me the most is "Prince lost it in 1980 something!!" WTF? Then why are you still here 20yrs later? But anyway, thanks for your words of advice, Prince does need to see at least someone supporting him, in case he does check these sites or have someone do it for him. I will continue to support the man as long as I have air in my lungs, he has changed my life BIG TIME!! I could never repay him enough...

If Prince did or does come here, he'll see there are people like you and I that love his music no matter what. I would hope and pray he doesn't take what people say here to heart if it's NEGATIVE and odious. Keep in mind that our man had to deal with a lot of negativity and heart break when he was growing up as we all have to some degree but, if you think about it, we all have someone out there who do not like us and they may not even have a legitimate reason, from our point of view about them NOT liking us.

I experienced that for the first time when I was in middle school. There was this kid who didn't like me and no matter what I did to get him to like me, it never happened. That was my first time experiencing that. Now, if you don't like me, you better not step to me because I may have you laying 'Face Down' after that confrontation. I was at the New Morning until 6h15am with a man who has more energy and vitality than ever. I was in Arras and Nice and let me tell you something: since he had his hips surgery the man is flying, dancing, moving like he had not for years.

How can you tell such bullshit when you bas your opinion on Iphone crappy videos from youtube?

Man the New Morning was the best aftershow I ever attented to. And since 1986, I have attended many.

Prince is in an incredible shape. He is lot more relaxed, happy. And again since his hips have been sorted this year the man is flying.

we are all ageing....its a nonsense statement...he looks damn good i think but age catches up with all of us...he looks better than almost anyone in their early 50s...but at the end of the day....i dont care how he looks...as long as he is healthy and continues to make music...i am happy to age along with him..

I'd be a little worried if he still looked like he did when he was 24. Perhaps more than a little worried. To me he looks really good, like he's doing and has been doing something right in his life.

I have a close black friend that is 50 something, and he doesn't have the money for BOTOX at all, and I thought he was younger than me. He looks fantastic. His secret is he stays in shape, works hard, and some darn fortunate genetics. He bearly even has any gray on him, which is amazing for a 50 + man. I think Prince falls in this pool, it does happen.
