I do notice if he's looking fresh or tired or if he's just going thru the motions to get that paycheck.

We all understand one another. We're all getting older but, I this has me remember the scence from 'The Fly' where Jeff's character says he's getting better not worse. That applies to P, I think, in some cases.

While I don't think he has ever released a horrible album, especially not in the 2000s, I don't think he has become appreciably better than he used to be in any aspect.

I'm not one for sitting around and discussing the technical aspect of guitar playing, so he could be a better guitar player now. He's slightly better, now, at mixing than he used to be (and whom he used to hire).

But as for songcrafting? I don't think so. He doesn't have an original bone in his body anymore. Sure, that might be because you can only reinvent the wheel so many times, but I don't think anyone really complained about "Endorphinmachine" being "Let's Go Crazy" pt 2 or "The Work pt 1" being the sequel to "Sexy MF". He might have a shtick, but he has to re-learn how to make something mildly interesting. You see touches of it on all of his 2000s albums, but it never hangs around for long enough to go anywhere. Reminds me of the discussions about Sly Stone and how he'd been out of the loop for so long, he'd show up to recent rehearsals, jam for 10 minutes and be really in the zone, before losing it and leaving the stage. I think Prince's ego is too big for him to admit that kind of defeat, but its a similar place to be in.

People have been saying, for decades, exactly why Prince looks as good as he does - black don't crack.

Light skinned black folks do crack, and if they are as thin as Prince it is more obvious.

WTF? Are you serious with this post? Prince looks sexy as hell!! HE is as fine as ever! He is aging like the rest of us, but still looks like he's in his late 30s!! So he is at least 10-15yrs younger looking. Yes, on some clips you can see lines in his face, but you can see those on people that are younger. So what?
